5:1 イスラエルの家よ、この言葉を聞け。わたしがお前たちについてうたう悲しみの歌を。 5:2 「おとめイスラエルは倒れて／再び起き上がらず／地に捨てられて／助け起こす者はいない。」 5:3 まことに、主なる神はこう言われる。「イスラエルの家では／千人の兵を出した町に、生き残るのは百人／百人の兵を出した町に、生き残るのは十人。」
5:4 まことに、主はイスラエルの家にこう言われる。わたしを求めよ、そして生きよ。 5:5 しかし、ベテルに助けを求めるな／ギルガルに行くな／ベエル・シェバに赴くな。ギルガルは必ず捕らえ移され／ベテルは無に帰するから。 5:6 主を求めよ、そして生きよ。さもないと主は火のように／ヨセフの家に襲いかかり／火が燃え盛っても／ベテルのためにその火を消す者はない。 5:7 裁きを苦よもぎに変え／正しいことを地に投げ捨てる者よ。 5:8 すばるとオリオンを造り／闇を朝に変え／昼を暗い夜にし／海の水を呼び集めて地の面に注がれる方。その御名は主。 5:9 主が突如として砦に破滅をもたらされると／その堅固な守りは破滅する。 5:10 彼らは町の門で訴えを公平に扱う者を憎み／真実を語る者を嫌う。 5:11 お前たちは弱い者を踏みつけ／彼らから穀物の貢納を取り立てるゆえ／切り石の家を建てても／そこに住むことはできない。見事なぶどう畑を作っても／その酒を飲むことはできない。 5:12 お前たちの咎がどれほど多いか／その罪がどれほど重いか、わたしは知っている。お前たちは正しい者に敵対し、賄賂を取り／町の門で貧しい者の訴えを退けている。 5:13 それゆえ、知恵ある者はこの時代に沈黙する。まことに、これは悪い時代だ。 5:14 善を求めよ、悪を求めるな／お前たちが生きることができるために。そうすれば、お前たちが言うように／万軍の神なる主は／お前たちと共にいてくださるだろう。 5:15 悪を憎み、善を愛せよ／また、町の門で正義を貫け。あるいは、万軍の神なる主が／ヨセフの残りの者を／憐れんでくださることもあろう。
5:16 それゆえ、万軍の神なる主はこう言われる。どの広場にも嘆きが起こり／どの通りにも泣き声があがる。悲しむために農夫が／嘆くために泣き男が呼ばれる。 5:17 どのぶどう畑にも嘆きが起こる。わたしがお前たちの中を通るからだと／主は言われる。 5:18 災いだ、主の日を待ち望む者は。主の日はお前たちにとって何か。それは闇であって、光ではない。 5:19 人が獅子の前から逃れても熊に会い／家にたどりついても／壁に手で寄りかかると／その手を蛇にかまれるようなものだ。 5:20 主の日は闇であって、光ではない。暗闇であって、輝きではない。
5:21 わたしはお前たちの祭りを憎み、退ける。祭りの献げ物の香りも喜ばない。 5:22 たとえ、焼き尽くす献げ物をわたしにささげても／穀物の献げ物をささげても／わたしは受け入れず／肥えた動物の献げ物も顧みない。 5:23 お前たちの騒がしい歌をわたしから遠ざけよ。竪琴の音もわたしは聞かない。 5:24 正義を洪水のように／恵みの業を大河のように／尽きることなく流れさせよ。 5:25 イスラエルの家よ／かつて四十年の間、荒れ野にいたとき／お前たちはわたしに／いけにえや献げ物をささげただろうか。 5:26 今、お前たちは王として仰ぐ偶像の御輿や／神として仰ぐ星、偶像ケワンを担ぎ回っている。それはお前たちが勝手に造ったものだ。 5:27 わたしは、お前たちを捕囚として／ダマスコのかなたの地に連れ去らせると／主は言われる。その御名は万軍の神。
5:1 Hear this word which I take up against you, a lamentation, O house of Israel: 5:2 The virgin of Israel has fallen;She will rise no more.She lies forsaken on her land;There is no one to raise her up. 5:3 For thus says the Lord God:"The city that goes out by a thousandShall have a hundred left,And that which goes out by a hundredShall have ten left to the house of Israel." 5:4 For thus says the Lord to the house of Israel:"Seek Me and live; 5:5 But do not seek Bethel,Nor enter Gilgal,Nor pass over to Beersheba;For Gilgal shall surely go into captivity,And Bethel shall come to nothing. 5:6 Seek the Lord and live,Lest He break out like fire in the house of Joseph,And devour it,With no one to quench it in Bethel- 5:7 You who turn justice to wormwood,And lay righteousness to rest in the earth!" 5:8 He made the Pleiades and Orion;He turns the shadow of death into morningAnd makes the day dark as night;He calls for the waters of the seaAnd pours them out on the face of the earth;The Lord is His name. 5:9 He rains ruin upon the strong,So that fury comes upon the fortress. 5:10 They hate the one who rebukes in the gate,And they abhor the one who speaks uprightly. 5:11 Therefore, because you tread down the poorAnd take grain taxes from him,Though you have built houses of hewn stone,Yet you shall not dwell in them;You have planted pleasant vineyards,But you shall not drink wine from them. 5:12 For I know your manifold transgressionsAnd your mighty sins:Afflicting the just and taking bribes;Diverting the poor from justice at the gate. 5:13 Therefore the prudent keep silent at that time,For it is an evil time. 5:14 Seek good and not evil,That you may live;So the Lord God of hosts will be with you,As you have spoken. 5:15 Hate evil, love good;Establish justice in the gate.It may be that the Lord God of hostsWill be gracious to the remnant of Joseph. 5:16 Therefore the Lord God of hosts, the Lord, says this:"There shall be wailing in all streets,And they shall say in all the highways,'Alas! Alas!'They shall call the farmer to mourning,And skillful lamenters to wailing. 5:17 In all vineyards there shall be wailing,For I will pass through you,"Says the Lord. 5:18 Woe to you who desire the day of the Lord!For what good is the day of the Lord to you?It will be darkness, and not light. 5:19 It will be as though a man fled from a lion,And a bear met him!Or as though he went into the house,Leaned his hand on the wall,And a serpent bit him! 5:20 Is not the day of the Lord darkness, and not light?Is it not very dark, with no brightness in it? 5:21 "I hate, I despise your feast days,And I do not savor your sacred assemblies. 5:22 Though you offer Me burnt offerings and your grain offerings,I will not accept them,Nor will I regard your fattened peace offerings. 5:23 Take away from Me the noise of your songs,For I will not hear the melody of your stringed instruments. 5:24 But let justice run down like water,And righteousness like a mighty stream. 5:25 "Did you offer Me sacrifices and offeringsIn the wilderness forty years, O house of Israel? 5:26 You also carried Sikkuth your kingAnd Chiun, your idols,The star of your gods,Which you made for yourselves. 5:27 Therefore I will send you into captivity beyond Damascus,"Says the Lord, whose name is the God of hosts.
1:17 愛する人たち、わたしたちの主イエス・キリストの使徒たちが前もって語った言葉を思い出しなさい。 1:18 彼らはあなたがたにこう言いました。「終わりの時には、あざける者どもが現れ、不信心な欲望のままにふるまう。」 1:19 この者たちは、分裂を引き起こし、この世の命のままに生き、霊を持たない者です。 1:20 しかし、愛する人たち、あなたがたは最も聖なる信仰をよりどころとして生活しなさい。聖霊の導きの下に祈りなさい。 1:21 神の愛によって自分を守り、永遠の命へ導いてくださる、わたしたちの主イエス・キリストの憐れみを待ち望みなさい。 1:22 疑いを抱いている人たちを憐れみなさい。 1:23 ほかの人たちを火の中から引き出して助けなさい。また、ほかの人たちを用心しながら憐れみなさい。肉によって汚れてしまった彼らの下着さえも忌み嫌いなさい。
1:24 あなたがたを罪に陥らないように守り、また、喜びにあふれて非のうちどころのない者として、栄光に輝く御前に立たせることができる方、 1:25 わたしたちの救い主である唯一の神に、わたしたちの主イエス・キリストを通して、栄光、威厳、力、権威が永遠の昔から、今も、永遠にいつまでもありますように、アーメン。
1:17 But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ: 1:18 how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. 1:19 These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit. 1:20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, 1:21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. 1:22 And on some have compassion, making a distinction; 1:23 but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh. 1:24 Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling,And to present you faultlessBefore the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, 1:25 To God our Savior,Who alone is wise,Be glory and majesty,Dominion and power,Both now and forever.Amen.
