6:1 災いだ、シオンに安住し／サマリアの山で安逸をむさぼる者らは。諸国民の頭である国に君臨し／イスラエルの家は彼らに従っている。 6:2 カルネに赴いて、よく見よ。そこから、ハマト・ラバに行き／ペリシテ人のガトに下れ。お前たちはこれらの王国にまさっているか。彼らの領土は／お前たちの領土より大きいか。 6:3 お前たちは災いの日を遠ざけようとして／不法による支配を引き寄せている。 6:4 お前たちは象牙の寝台に横たわり／長いすに寝そべり／羊の群れから小羊を取り／牛舎から子牛を取って宴を開き 6:5 竪琴の音に合わせて歌に興じ／ダビデのように楽器を考え出す。 6:6 大杯でぶどう酒を飲み／最高の香油を身に注ぐ。しかし、ヨセフの破滅に心を痛めることがない。 6:7 それゆえ、今や彼らは捕囚の列の先頭を行き／寝そべって酒宴を楽しむことはなくなる。 6:8 主なる神は御自分を指して誓われる。万軍の神なる主は言われる。わたしはヤコブの誇る神殿を忌み嫌い／その城郭を憎む。わたしは都とその中のすべてのものを敵に渡す。 6:9 もし、一軒の家に男が十人残っているなら、彼らも死ぬ。 6:10 親族と死体を焼く者が、彼らを家の中から運び出す。そのとき、一人が家の奥にいる者に、「まだ、あなたと共にいる者がいるのか」と尋ねると、「いない」と答え、「声を出すな、主の名を唱えるな」と言う。 6:11 見よ、主が命じられる。「大きな家を打って粉々にし／小さな家をみじんにせよ。」 6:12 馬が岩の上を駆けるだろうか／牛が海を耕すだろうか。お前たちは裁きを毒草に／恵みの業の実を苦よもぎに変えた。 6:13 お前たちはロ・ダバル（空虚）を喜び／「我々は自分の力で／カルナイムを手に入れたではないか」と言う。 6:14 しかし、イスラエルの家よ／わたしはお前たちに対して一つの国を興す。彼らはレボ・ハマトからアラバの谷に至るまで／お前たちを圧迫すると／万軍の神なる主は言われる。
6:1 Woe to you who are at ease in Zion,And trust in Mount Samaria,Notable persons in the chief nation,To whom the house of Israel comes! 6:2 Go over to Calneh and see;And from there go to Hamath the great;Then go down to Gath of the Philistines.Are you better than these kingdoms?Or is their territory greater than your territory? 6:3 Woe to you who put far off the day of doom,Who cause the seat of violence to come near; 6:4 Who lie on beds of ivory,Stretch out on your couches,Eat lambs from the flockAnd calves from the midst of the stall; 6:5 Who sing idly to the sound of stringed instruments,And invent for yourselves musical instruments like David; 6:6 Who drink wine from bowls,And anoint yourselves with the best ointments,But are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph. 6:7 Therefore they shall now go captive as the first of the captives,And those who recline at banquets shall be removed. 6:8 The Lord God has sworn by Himself,The Lord God of hosts says:"I abhor the pride of Jacob,And hate his palaces;Therefore I will deliver up the cityAnd all that is in it." 6:9 Then it shall come to pass, that if ten men remain in one house, they shall die. 6:10 And when a relative of the dead, with one who will burn the bodies, picks up the bodies to take them out of the house, he will say to one inside the house, "Are there any more with you?" Then someone will say, "None." And he will say, "Hold your tongue! For we dare not mention the name of the Lord." 6:11 For behold, the Lord gives a command:He will break the great house into bits,And the little house into pieces. 6:12 Do horses run on rocks?Does one plow there with oxen?Yet you have turned justice into gall,And the fruit of righteousness into wormwood, 6:13 You who rejoice over Lo Debar,Who say, "Have we not taken Karnaim for ourselvesBy our own strength?" 6:14 "But, behold, I will raise up a nation against you,O house of Israel,"Says the Lord God of hosts;"And they will afflict you from the entrance of HamathTo the Valley of the Arabah."

1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants-things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, 1:2 who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw. 1:3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near. 1:4 John, to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne, 1:5 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, 1:6 and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. 1:7 Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen. 1:8 "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End," says the Lord, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty." 1:9 I, John, both your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was on the island that is called Patmos for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. 1:10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's Day, and I heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet, 1:11 saying, "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last," and, "What you see, write in a book and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia: to Ephesus, to Smyrna, to Pergamos, to Thyatira, to Sardis, to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea."
