7:1 主なる神はこのようにわたしに示された。見よ、主は二番草の生え始めるころ、いなごを造られた。それは、王が刈り取った後に生える二番草であった。 7:2 いなごが大地の青草を食べ尽くそうとしたので、わたしは言った。「主なる神よ、どうぞ赦してください。ヤコブはどうして立つことができるでしょう／彼は小さいものです。」 7:3 主はこれを思い直され／「このことは起こらない」と言われた。
7:4 主なる神はこのようにわたしに示された。見よ、主なる神は審判の火を呼ばれた。火が大いなる淵をなめ尽くし、畑も焼き尽くそうとしたので、 7:5 わたしは言った。「主なる神よ、どうぞやめてください。ヤコブはどうして立つことができるでしょう／彼は小さいものです。」 7:6 主はこれを思い直され／「このことも起こらない」と主なる神は言われた。
7:7 主はこのようにわたしに示された。見よ、主は手に下げ振りを持って、下げ振りで点検された城壁の上に立っておられる。 7:8 主はわたしに言われた。「アモスよ、何が見えるか。」わたしは答えた。「下げ振りです。」主は言われた。「見よ、わたしは／わが民イスラエルの真ん中に下げ振りを下ろす。もはや、見過ごしにすることはできない。 7:9 イサクの塚は荒らされ／イスラエルの聖なる高台は廃虚になる。わたしは剣をもって／ヤロブアムの家に立ち向かう。」
7:10 ベテルの祭司アマツヤは、イスラエルの王ヤロブアムに人を遣わして言った。「イスラエルの家の真ん中で、アモスがあなたに背きました。この国は彼のすべての言葉に耐えられません。 7:11 アモスはこう言っています。『ヤロブアムは剣で殺される。イスラエルは、必ず捕らえられて／その土地から連れ去られる。』」 7:12 アマツヤはアモスに言った。「先見者よ、行け。ユダの国へ逃れ、そこで糧を得よ。そこで預言するがよい。 7:13 だが、ベテルでは二度と預言するな。ここは王の聖所、王国の神殿だから。」 7:14 アモスは答えてアマツヤに言った。「わたしは預言者ではない。預言者の弟子でもない。わたしは家畜を飼い、いちじく桑を栽培する者だ。 7:15 主は家畜の群れを追っているところから、わたしを取り、『行って、わが民イスラエルに預言せよ』と言われた。 7:16 今、主の言葉を聞け。あなたは、『イスラエルに向かって預言するな、イサクの家に向かってたわごとを言うな』と言う。 7:17 それゆえ、主はこう言われる。お前の妻は町の中で遊女となり／息子、娘らは剣に倒れ／土地は測り縄で分けられ／お前は汚れた土地で死ぬ。イスラエルは、必ず捕らえられて／その土地から連れ去られる。」
7:1 Thus the Lord God showed me: Behold, He formed locust swarms at the beginning of the late crop; indeed it was the late crop after the king's mowings. 7:2 And so it was, when they had finished eating the grass of the land, that I said:"O Lord God, forgive, I pray!Oh, that Jacob may stand,For he is small!" 7:3 So the Lord relented concerning this."It shall not be," said the Lord. 7:4 Thus the Lord God showed me: Behold, the Lord God called for conflict by fire, and it consumed the great deep and devoured the territory. 7:5 Then I said:"O Lord God, cease, I pray!Oh, that Jacob may stand,For he is small!" 7:6 So the Lord relented concerning this."This also shall not be," said the Lord God. 7:7 Thus He showed me: Behold, the Lord stood on a wall made with a plumb line, with a plumb line in His hand. 7:8 And the Lord said to me, "Amos, what do you see?" And I said, "A plumb line." Then the Lord said:"Behold, I am setting a plumb lineIn the midst of My people Israel;I will not pass by them anymore. 7:9 The high places of Isaac shall be desolate,And the sanctuaries of Israel shall be laid waste.I will rise with the sword against the house of Jeroboam." 7:10 Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, "Amos has conspired against you in the midst of the house of Israel. The land is not able to bear all his words. 7:11 "For thus Amos has said:'Jeroboam shall die by the sword,And Israel shall surely be led away captiveFrom their own land.' " 7:12 Then Amaziah said to Amos:"Go, you seer!Flee to the land of Judah.There eat bread,And there prophesy. 7:13 But never again prophesy at Bethel,For it is the king's sanctuary,And it is the royal residence." 7:14 Then Amos answered, and said to Amaziah:"I was no prophet,Nor was I a son of a prophet,But I was a sheepbreederAnd a tender of sycamore fruit. 7:15 Then the Lord took me as I followed the flock,And the Lord said to me,'Go, prophesy to My people Israel.' 7:16 Now therefore, hear the word of the Lord:You say, 'Do not prophesy against Israel,And do not spout against the house of Isaac.' 7:17 "Therefore thus says the Lord:'Your wife shall be a harlot in the city;Your sons and daughters shall fall by the sword;Your land shall be divided by survey line;You shall die in a defiled land;And Israel shall surely be led away captiveFrom his own land.' "
1:12 わたしは、語りかける声の主を見ようとして振り向いた。振り向くと、七つの金の燭台が見え、 1:13 燭台の中央には、人の子のような方がおり、足まで届く衣を着て、胸には金の帯を締めておられた。 1:14 その頭、その髪の毛は、白い羊毛に似て、雪のように白く、目はまるで燃え盛る炎、 1:15 足は炉で精錬されたしんちゅうのように輝き、声は大水のとどろきのようであった。 1:16 右の手に七つの星を持ち、口からは鋭い両刃の剣が出て、顔は強く照り輝く太陽のようであった。 1:17 わたしは、その方を見ると、その足もとに倒れて、死んだようになった。すると、その方は右手をわたしの上に置いて言われた。「恐れるな。わたしは最初の者にして最後の者、 1:18 また生きている者である。一度は死んだが、見よ、世々限りなく生きて、死と陰府の鍵を持っている。 1:19 さあ、見たことを、今あることを、今後起ころうとしていることを書き留めよ。 1:20 あなたは、わたしの右の手に七つの星と、七つの金の燭台とを見たが、それらの秘められた意味はこうだ。七つの星は七つの教会の天使たち、七つの燭台は七つの教会である。
1:12 Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands, 1:13 and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band. 1:14 His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire; 1:15 His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters; 1:16 He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength. 1:17 And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, "Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. 1:18 "I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death. 1:19 "Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will take place after this. 1:20 "The mystery of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and the seven golden lampstands: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands which you saw are the seven churches.
