8:1 角笛を口に当てよ。鷲のように主の家を襲うものがある。イスラエルがわたしの契約を破り／わたしの律法に背いたからだ。 8:2 わたしに向かって彼らは叫ぶ。「わが神よ／我々はあなたに従っています」と。 8:3 しかし、イスラエルは恵みを退けた。敵に追われるがよい。 8:4 彼らは王を立てた。しかし、それはわたしから出たことではない。彼らは高官たちを立てた。しかし、わたしは関知しない。彼らは金銀で偶像を造ったが／それらは打ち壊される。 8:5 サマリアよ、お前の子牛を捨てよ。わたしの怒りは彼らに向かって燃える。いつまで清くなりえないのか。 8:6 それはイスラエルのしたことだ。職人が造ったもので、神ではない。サマリアの子牛は必ず粉々に砕かれる。 8:7 彼らは風の中で蒔き／嵐の中で刈り取る。芽が伸びても、穂が出ず／麦粉を作ることができない。作ったとしても、他国の人々が食い尽くす。 8:8 イスラエルは食い尽くされる。今や、彼らは諸国民の間にあって／だれにも喜ばれない器のようだ。 8:9 エフライムは独りいる野ろば。アッシリアに上って行き、貢によって恋人を得た。 8:10 彼らは諸国に貢いでいる。今や、わたしは諸国を集める。諸侯を従える王への貢ぎ物が重荷となって／彼らはもだえ苦しむようになる。 8:11 エフライムは罪を償う祭壇を増やした。しかし、それは罪を犯す祭壇となった。 8:12 わたしは多くの戒めを書き与えた。しかし、彼らはそれを無縁のものと見なした。 8:13 わたしへの贈り物としていけにえをささげるが／その肉を食べるのは彼らだ。主は彼らを喜ばれない。今や、主は彼らの不義に心を留め／その罪を裁かれる。彼らはエジプトに帰らねばならない。 8:14 イスラエルはその造り主を忘れた。彼らは宮殿を建て連ねた。ユダも要塞の町を増し加えたが／わたしはその町々に火を送り／火は城郭を焼き尽くす。
8:1 "Set the trumpet to your mouth!He shall come like an eagle against the house of the Lord,Because they have transgressed My covenantAnd rebelled against My law. 8:2 Israel will cry to Me,'My God, we know You!' 8:3 Israel has rejected the good;The enemy will pursue him. 8:4 "They set up kings, but not by Me;They made princes, but I did not acknowledge them.From their silver and goldThey made idols for themselves-That they might be cut off. 8:5 Your calf is rejected, O Samaria!My anger is aroused against them-How long until they attain to innocence? 8:6 For from Israel is even this:A workman made it, and it is not God;But the calf of Samaria shall be broken to pieces. 8:7 "They sow the wind,And reap the whirlwind.The stalk has no bud;It shall never produce meal.If it should produce,Aliens would swallow it up. 8:8 Israel is swallowed up;Now they are among the GentilesLike a vessel in which is no pleasure. 8:9 For they have gone up to Assyria,Like a wild donkey alone by itself;Ephraim has hired lovers. 8:10 Yes, though they have hired among the nations,Now I will gather them;And they shall sorrow a little,Because of the burden of the king of princes. 8:11 "Because Ephraim has made many altars for sin,They have become for him altars for sinning. 8:12 I have written for him the great things of My law,But they were considered a strange thing. 8:13 For the sacrifices of My offerings they sacrifice flesh and eat it,But the Lord does not accept them.Now He will remember their iniquity and punish their sins.They shall return to Egypt. 8:14 "For Israel has forgotten his Maker,And has built temples;Judah also has multiplied fortified cities;But I will send fire upon his cities,And it shall devour his palaces."
2:1 わたしの子たちよ、これらのことを書くのは、あなたがたが罪を犯さないようになるためです。たとえ罪を犯しても、御父のもとに弁護者、正しい方、イエス・キリストがおられます。 2:2 この方こそ、わたしたちの罪、いや、わたしたちの罪ばかりでなく、全世界の罪を償ういけにえです。 2:3 わたしたちは、神の掟を守るなら、それによって、神を知っていることが分かります。 2:4 「神を知っている」と言いながら、神の掟を守らない者は、偽り者で、その人の内には真理はありません。 2:5 しかし、神の言葉を守るなら、まことにその人の内には神の愛が実現しています。これによって、わたしたちが神の内にいることが分かります。 2:6 神の内にいつもいると言う人は、イエスが歩まれたように自らも歩まなければなりません。
2:7 愛する者たち、わたしがあなたがたに書いているのは、新しい掟ではなく、あなたがたが初めから受けていた古い掟です。この古い掟とは、あなたがたが既に聞いたことのある言葉です。 2:8 しかし、わたしは新しい掟として書いています。そのことは、イエスにとってもあなたがたにとっても真実です。闇が去って、既にまことの光が輝いているからです。 2:9 「光の中にいる」と言いながら、兄弟を憎む者は、今もなお闇の中にいます。 2:10 兄弟を愛する人は、いつも光の中におり、その人にはつまずきがありません。 2:11 しかし、兄弟を憎む者は闇の中におり、闇の中を歩み、自分がどこへ行くかを知りません。闇がこの人の目を見えなくしたからです。
2:1 My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2:2 And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world. 2:3 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. 2:4 He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 2:5 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. 2:6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked. 2:7 Brethren, I write no new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you have had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which you heard from the beginning. 2:8 Again, a new commandment I write to you, which thing is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away, and the true light is already shining. 2:9 He who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now. 2:10 He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him. 2:11 But he who hates his brother is in darkness and walks in darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.
