9:1 わたしは祭壇の傍らに立っておられる主を見た。主は言われた。「柱頭を打ち、敷石を揺り動かせ。すべての者の頭上で砕け。生き残った者は、わたしが剣で殺す。彼らのうちに逃れうる者はない。逃れて、生き延びる者はひとりもない。 9:2 たとえ、彼らが陰府に潜り込んでも／わたしは、そこからこの手で引き出す。たとえ天に上っても／わたしは、そこから引き下ろす。 9:3 たとえ、カルメルの頂に身を隠しても／わたしは、そこから探し出して連れ出す。たとえ、わたしの目を逃れて、海の底に隠れても／そこで、蛇に命じてかませる。 9:4 たとえ捕らわれ、敵の前に連れて行かれても／そこで、剣に命じて殺させる。わたしは彼らの上に目を注ぐ。それは災いのためであって／幸いのためではない。」 9:5 万軍の神なる主。主が大地に触れられると、地は揺れ動き／そこに住む者は皆、嘆き悲しむ。大地はことごとくナイル川のように盛り上がり／エジプトの大河のように沈む。 9:6 天に高殿を設け／地の上に大空を据え／海の水を呼び集め／地の面に注がれる方。その御名は主。
9:7 イスラエルの人々よ。わたしにとってお前たちは／クシュの人々と変わりがないではないかと／主は言われる。わたしはイスラエルをエジプトの地から／ペリシテ人をカフトルから／アラム人をキルから、導き上ったではないか。 9:8 見よ、主なる神は罪に染まった王国に目を向け／これを地の面から絶たれる。ただし、わたしはヤコブの家を全滅させはしないと／主は言われる。 9:9 見よ、わたしは命令を下し／イスラエルの家を諸国民の間でふるいにかける。ふるいにかけても／小石ひとつ地に落ちないように。 9:10 わが民の中で罪ある者は皆、剣で死ぬ。彼らは、災いは我々に及ばず／近づくこともない、と言っている。
9:11 その日には／わたしはダビデの倒れた仮庵を復興し／その破れを修復し、廃虚を復興して／昔の日のように建て直す。 9:12 こうして、エドムの生き残りの者と／わが名をもって呼ばれるすべての国を／彼らに所有させよう、と主は言われる。主はこのことを行われる。 9:13 見よ、その日が来れば、と主は言われる。耕す者は、刈り入れる者に続き／ぶどうを踏む者は、種蒔く者に続く。山々はぶどうの汁を滴らせ／すべての丘は溶けて流れる。 9:14 わたしは、わが民イスラエルの繁栄を回復する。彼らは荒された町を建て直して住み／ぶどう畑を作って、ぶどう酒を飲み／園を造って、実りを食べる。 9:15 わたしは彼らをその土地に植え付ける。わたしが与えた地から／再び彼らが引き抜かれることは決してないと／あなたの神なる主は言われる。
9:1 I saw the Lord standing by the altar, and He said:"Strike the doorposts, that the thresholds may shake,And break them on the heads of them all.I will slay the last of them with the sword.He who flees from them shall not get away,And he who escapes from them shall not be delivered. 9:2 "Though they dig into hell,From there my hand shall take them;Though they climb up to heaven,From there I will bring them down; 9:3 And though they hide themselves on top of Carmel,From there I will search and take them;Though they hide from My sight at the bottom of the sea,From there I will command the serpent, and it shall bite them; 9:4 Though they go into captivity before their enemies,From there I will command the sword,And it shall slay them.I will set My eyes on them for harm and not for good." 9:5 The Lord God of hosts,He who touches the earth and it melts,And all who dwell there mourn;All of it shall swell like the River,And subside like the River of Egypt. 9:6 He who builds His layers in the sky,And has founded His strata in the earth;Who calls for the waters of the sea,And pours them out on the face of the earth-The Lord is His name. 9:7 "Are you not like the people of Ethiopia to Me,O children of Israel?" says the Lord."Did I not bring up Israel from the land of Egypt,The Philistines from Caphtor,And the Syrians from Kir? 9:8 "Behold, the eyes of the Lord God are on the sinful kingdom,And I will destroy it from the face of the earth;Yet I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob,"Says the Lord. 9:9 "For surely I will command,And will sift the house of Israel among all nations,As grain is sifted in a sieve;Yet not the smallest grain shall fall to the ground. 9:10 All the sinners of My people shall die by the sword,Who say, 'The calamity shall not overtake nor confront us.' 9:11 "On that day I will raise upThe tabernacle of David, which has fallen down,And repair its damages;I will raise up its ruins,And rebuild it as in the days of old; 9:12 That they may possess the remnant of Edom,And all the Gentiles who are called by My name,"Says the Lord who does this thing. 9:13 "Behold, the days are coming," says the Lord,"When the plowman shall overtake the reaper,And the treader of grapes him who sows seed;The mountains shall drip with sweet wine,And all the hills shall flow with it. 9:14 I will bring back the captives of My people Israel;They shall build the waste cities and inhabit them;They shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them;They shall also make gardens and eat fruit from them. 9:15 I will plant them in their land,And no longer shall they be pulled upFrom the land I have given them,"Says the Lord your God.
