4:1 終わりの日に／主の神殿の山は、山々の頭として堅く立ち／どの峰よりも高くそびえる。もろもろの民は大河のようにそこに向かい 4:2 多くの国々が来て言う。「主の山に登り、ヤコブの神の家に行こう。主はわたしたちに道を示される。わたしたちはその道を歩もう」と。主の教えはシオンから／御言葉はエルサレムから出る。 4:3 主は多くの民の争いを裁き／はるか遠くまでも、強い国々を戒められる。彼らは剣を打ち直して鋤とし／槍を打ち直して鎌とする。国は国に向かって剣を上げず／もはや戦うことを学ばない。 4:4 人はそれぞれ自分のぶどうの木の下／いちじくの木の下に座り／脅かすものは何もないと／万軍の主の口が語られた。 4:5 どの民もおのおの、自分の神の名によって歩む。我々は、とこしえに／我らの神、主の御名によって歩む。 4:6 その日が来れば、と主は言われる。わたしは足の萎えた者を集め／追いやられた者を呼び寄せる。わたしは彼らを災いに遭わせた。 4:7 しかし、わたしは足の萎えた者を／残りの民としていたわり／遠く連れ去られた者を強い国とする。シオンの山で、今よりとこしえに／主が彼らの上に王となられる。 4:8 羊の群れを見張る塔よ、娘シオンの砦よ／かつてあった主権が、娘エルサレムの王権が／お前のもとに再び返って来る。 4:9 今、なぜお前は泣き叫ぶのか。王はお前の中から絶たれ／参議たちも滅び去ったのか。お前は子を産む女のように／陣痛に取りつかれているのか。 4:10 娘シオンよ／子を産む女のように、もだえて押し出せ。今、お前は町を出て、野に宿らねばならない。だが、バビロンにたどりつけば／そこで救われる。その地で、主がお前を敵の手から贖われる。 4:11 今、多くの国々の民がお前に敵対して集まり／「シオンを汚し、この目で眺めよう」と／言っている。 4:12 だが、彼らは主の思いを知らず／その謀を悟らない。主が彼らを麦束のように／打ち場に集められたことを。 4:13 娘シオンよ、立って、脱穀せよ。わたしはお前の角を鉄とし／お前のひづめを銅として／多くの国々を打ち砕かせる。お前は不正に得た彼らの富を、主に／蓄えた富を、全世界の主にささげる。 4:14 今、身を裂いて悲しめ、戦うべき娘シオンよ。敵は我々を包囲した。彼らはイスラエルを治める者の頬を杖で打つ。
4:1 Now it shall come to pass in the latter daysThat the mountain of the Lord's houseShall be established on the top of the mountains,And shall be exalted above the hills;And peoples shall flow to it. 4:2 Many nations shall come and say,"Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,To the house of the God of Jacob;He will teach us His ways,And we shall walk in His paths."For out of Zion the law shall go forth,And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. 4:3 He shall judge between many peoples,And rebuke strong nations afar off;They shall beat their swords into plowshares,And their spears into pruning hooks;Nation shall not lift up sword against nation,Neither shall they learn war any more. 4:4 But everyone shall sit under his vine and under his fig tree,And no one shall make them afraid;For the mouth of the Lord of hosts has spoken. 4:5 For all people walk each in the name of his god,But we will walk in the name of the Lord our GodForever and ever. 4:6 "In that day," says the Lord,"I will assemble the lame,I will gather the outcastAnd those whom I have afflicted; 4:7 I will make the lame a remnant,And the outcast a strong nation;So the Lord will reign over them in Mount ZionFrom now on, even forever. 4:8 And you, O tower of the flock,The stronghold of the daughter of Zion,To you shall it come,Even the former dominion shall come,The kingdom of the daughter of Jerusalem." 4:9 Now why do you cry aloud?Is there no king in your midst?Has your counselor perished?For pangs have seized you like a woman in labor. 4:10 Be in pain, and labor to bring forth,O daughter of Zion,Like a woman in birth pangs.For now you shall go forth from the city,You shall dwell in the field,And to Babylon you shall go.There you shall be delivered;There the Lord will redeem youFrom the hand of your enemies. 4:11 Now also many nations have gathered against you,Who say, "Let her be defiled,And let our eye look upon Zion." 4:12 But they do not know the thoughts of the Lord,Nor do they understand His counsel;For He will gather them like sheaves to the threshing floor. 4:13 "Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion;For I will make your horn iron,And I will make your hooves bronze;You shall beat in pieces many peoples;I will consecrate their gain to the Lord,And their substance to the Lord of the whole earth."
6:1 また、わたしが見ていると、小羊が七つの封印の一つを開いた。すると、四つの生き物の一つが、雷のような声で「出て来い」と言うのを、わたしは聞いた。 6:2 そして見ていると、見よ、白い馬が現れ、乗っている者は、弓を持っていた。彼は冠を与えられ、勝利の上に更に勝利を得ようと出て行った。 6:3 小羊が第二の封印を開いたとき、第二の生き物が「出て来い」と言うのを、わたしは聞いた。 6:4 すると、火のように赤い別の馬が現れた。その馬に乗っている者には、地上から平和を奪い取って、殺し合いをさせる力が与えられた。また、この者には大きな剣が与えられた。 6:5 小羊が第三の封印を開いたとき、第三の生き物が「出て来い」と言うのを、わたしは聞いた。そして見ていると、見よ、黒い馬が現れ、乗っている者は、手に秤を持っていた。 6:6 わたしは、四つの生き物の間から出る声のようなものが、こう言うのを聞いた。「小麦は一コイニクスで一デナリオン。大麦は三コイニクスで一デナリオン。オリーブ油とぶどう酒とを損なうな。」 6:7 小羊が第四の封印を開いたとき、「出て来い」と言う第四の生き物の声を、わたしは聞いた。 6:8 そして見ていると、見よ、青白い馬が現れ、乗っている者の名は「死」といい、これに陰府が従っていた。彼らには、地上の四分の一を支配し、剣と飢饉と死をもって、更に地上の野獣で人を滅ぼす権威が与えられた。
6:1 Now I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals; and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a voice like thunder, "Come and see." 6:2 And I looked, and behold, a white horse. He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer. 6:3 When He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, "Come and see." 6:4 Another horse, fiery red, went out. And it was granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth, and that people should kill one another; and there was given to him a great sword. 6:5 When He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, "Come and see." So I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. 6:6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, "A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine." 6:7 When He opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, "Come and see." 6:8 So I looked, and behold, a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hades followed with him. And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth.
