5:1 わたしが再び目を留めて見ると、一つの巻物が飛んでいた。 5:2 御使いがわたしに、「何を見ているのか」と尋ねたので、わたしは答えた。「巻物が飛んでいるのが見えます。その長さは二十アンマ、幅は十アンマです。」 5:3 彼はわたしに言った。「これは全地に向かって出て行く呪いである。すべての盗人はその一方の面に記されている呪いに従って一掃される。また偽って誓う者も、他の面の呪いに従って一掃される。」 5:4 わたしがこれを送り出す、と万軍の主は言われる。それは盗人の家に／わが名によって偽りの誓いをする者の家に入り／その家の中に宿り／梁も石ももろともに滅ぼし尽くす。
5:5 わたしに語りかけた御使いが現れ、わたしに言った。「目を留めて、そこに出て来るものが何であるか、よく見るがよい。」 5:6 わたしが、「それは何ですか」と尋ねると、彼は、「そこに出て来たのはエファ升である」と答え、「それは全地を見る彼らの目である」と言った。 5:7 鉛の円盤が取り除かれると、エファ升の中に一人の女が座っていた。 5:8 彼は、「それは邪悪そのものである」と言って、かの女をエファ升の中に投げ返し、エファ升の口に鉛の重しを置いた。 5:9 わたしが目を留めて見ると、二人の女が翼に風を受けて出て来た。かの女たちはこうのとりの翼のような翼を持ち、地と天の間でエファ升を運び去ろうとしていた。 5:10 わたしに語りかけた御使いに、「かの女たちはどこにエファ升を持って行こうとしているのですか」と尋ねると、 5:11 彼はわたしに答えた。「かの女のため、シンアルの地に神殿を築こうとしているのだ。神殿が整えられると、その地に備えられた場所に置かれるはずだ。」
5:1 Then I turned and raised my eyes, and saw there a flying scroll. 5:2 And he said to me, "What do you see?" So I answered, "I see a flying scroll. Its length is twenty cubits and its width ten cubits." 5:3 Then he said to me, "This is the curse that goes out over the face of the whole earth: 'Every thief shall be expelled,' according to this side of the scroll; and, 'Every perjurer shall be expelled,' according to that side of it." 5:4 "I will send out the curse," says the Lord of hosts;"It shall enter the house of the thiefAnd the house of the one who swears falsely by My name.It shall remain in the midst of his houseAnd consume it, with its timber and stones." 5:5 Then the angel who talked with me came out and said to me, "Lift your eyes now, and see what this is that goes forth." 5:6 So I asked, "What is it?" And he said, "It is a basket that is going forth." He also said, "This is their resemblance throughout the earth: 5:7 "Here is a lead disc lifted up, and this is a woman sitting inside the basket"; 5:8 then he said, "This is Wickedness!" And he thrust her down into the basket, and threw the lead cover over its mouth. 5:9 Then I raised my eyes and looked, and there were two women, coming with the wind in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the basket between earth and heaven. 5:10 So I said to the angel who talked with me, "Where are they carrying the basket?" 5:11 And he said to me, "To build a house for it in the land of Shinar; when it is ready, the basket will be set there on its base."
16:10 第五の天使が、その鉢の中身を獣の王座に注ぐと、獣が支配する国は闇に覆われた。人々は苦しみもだえて自分の舌をかみ、 16:11 苦痛とはれ物のゆえに天の神を冒涜し、その行いを悔い改めようとはしなかった。 16:12 第六の天使が、その鉢の中身を大きな川、ユーフラテスに注ぐと、川の水がかれて、日の出る方角から来る王たちの道ができた。 16:13 わたしはまた、竜の口から、獣の口から、そして、偽預言者の口から、蛙のような汚れた三つの霊が出て来るのを見た。 16:14 これはしるしを行う悪霊どもの霊であって、全世界の王たちのところへ出て行った。それは、全能者である神の大いなる日の戦いに備えて、彼らを集めるためである。 16:15 ――見よ、わたしは盗人のように来る。裸で歩くのを見られて恥をかかないように、目を覚まし、衣を身に着けている人は幸いである。―― 16:16 汚れた霊どもは、ヘブライ語で「ハルマゲドン」と呼ばれる所に、王たちを集めた。 16:17 第七の天使が、その鉢の中身を空中に注ぐと、神殿の玉座から大声が聞こえ、「事は成就した」と言った。 16:18 そして、稲妻、さまざまな音、雷が起こり、また、大きな地震が起きた。それは、人間が地上に現れて以来、いまだかつてなかったほどの大地震であった。 16:19 あの大きな都が三つに引き裂かれ、諸国の民の方々の町が倒れた。神は大バビロンを思い出して、御自分の激しい怒りのぶどう酒の杯をこれにお与えになった。 16:20 すべての島は逃げ去り、山々も消えうせた。 16:21 一タラントンの重さほどの大粒の雹が、天から人々の上に降った。人々は雹の害を受けたので、神を冒涜した。その被害があまりにも甚だしかったからである。
16:10 Then the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom became full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues because of the pain. 16:11 They blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds. 16:12 Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared. 16:13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 16:14 For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. 16:15 "Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame." 16:16 And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon. 16:17 Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, "It is done!" 16:18 And there were noises and thunderings and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake as had not occurred since men were on the earth. 16:19 Now the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And great Babylon was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath. 16:20 Then every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. 16:21 And great hail from heaven fell upon men, each hailstone about the weight of a talent. Men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, since that plague was exceedingly great.
