2:1 わたしは歩哨の部署につき／砦の上に立って見張り／神がわたしに何を語り／わたしの訴えに何と答えられるかを見よう。 2:2 主はわたしに答えて、言われた。「幻を書き記せ。走りながらでも読めるように／板の上にはっきりと記せ。 2:3 定められた時のために／もうひとつの幻があるからだ。それは終わりの時に向かって急ぐ。人を欺くことはない。たとえ、遅くなっても、待っておれ。それは必ず来る、遅れることはない。 2:4 見よ、高慢な者を。彼の心は正しくありえない。しかし、神に従う人は信仰によって生きる。」 2:5 確かに富は人を欺く。高ぶる者は目指すところに達しない。彼は陰府のように喉を広げ／死のように飽くことがない。彼はすべての国を自分のもとに集め／すべての民を自分のもとに引き寄せる。 2:6 この人々は皆／彼に対して嘲りのことわざを歌い／謎の風刺を浴びせる。災いだ、自分のものでないものを／増し加える者は。いつまで続けるのか／重い負債を自分の上に積む者よ。 2:7 突然、お前の債権者が立ち上がり／恐れさせる者が目覚め／お前は彼らの獲物にされないだろうか。 2:8 まことに、お前は多くの国々を略奪したので／諸国の民の残りの者すべてがお前を略奪する。お前が人々の血を流し、国中で不法を／町とそのすべての住民に対して行ったからだ。 2:9 災いだ、自分の家に災いを招くまで／不当な利益をむさぼり／災いの手から逃れるために／高い所に巣を構える者よ。 2:10 お前は、自分の家に対して恥ずべきことを謀り／多くの民の滅びを招き、自分をも傷つけた。 2:11 まことに石は石垣から叫び／梁は建物からそれに答えている。 2:12 災いだ、流血によって都を築き／不正によって町を建てる者よ。 2:13 見よ、これは万軍の主から出たことではないか。諸国の民は力を費やしても火で焼かれるのみ。諸民族はむなしい業のために疲れ果てる。 2:14 水が海を覆うように／大地は主の栄光の知識で満たされる。 2:15 災いだ／自分の隣人に怒りの熱を加えた酒を飲ませ／酔わせて、その裸を見ようとする者は。 2:16 お前は栄光よりも恥を飽きるほど受ける。酔え、お前も隠し所を見られる。お前のもとに、主の右の手の杯と恥辱が／お前の栄光の代わりに回ってくる。 2:17 レバノンに加えられた不法がお前を覆い／獣も絶えて、お前を恐れさせる。お前が人々の血を流し、国中で不法を／町とそのすべての住民に対して行ったからだ。 2:18 彫刻師の刻んだ彫像や鋳像／また、偽りを教える者が何の役に立つのか。口の利けない偶像を造り／造った者がそれに依り頼んでも／何の役に立つのか。 2:19 災いだ、木に向かって「目を覚ませ」と言い／物言わぬ石に向かって「起きよ」と言う者は。それが託宣を下しうるのか。見よ、これは金と銀をかぶせたもので／その中に命の息は全くない。 2:20 しかし、主はその聖なる神殿におられる。全地よ、御前に沈黙せよ。
2:1 I will stand my watchAnd set myself on the rampart,And watch to see what He will say to me,And what I will answer when I am corrected. 2:2 Then the Lord answered me and said:"Write the visionAnd make it plain on tablets,That he may run who reads it. 2:3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time;But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.Though it tarries, wait for it;Because it will surely come,It will not tarry. 2:4 "Behold the proud,His soul is not upright in him;But the just shall live by his faith. 2:5 "Indeed, because he transgresses by wine,He is a proud man,And he does not stay at home.Because he enlarges his desire as hell,And he is like death, and cannot be satisfied,He gathers to himself all nationsAnd heaps up for himself all peoples. 2:6 "Will not all these take up a proverb against him,And a taunting riddle against him, and say,'Woe to him who increasesWhat is not his-how long?And to him who loads himself with many pledges'? 2:7 Will not your creditors rise up suddenly?Will they not awaken who oppress you?And you will become their booty. 2:8 Because you have plundered many nations,All the remnant of the people shall plunder you,Because of men's bloodAnd the violence of the land and the city,And of all who dwell in it. 2:9 "Woe to him who covets evil gain for his house,That he may set his nest on high,That he may be delivered from the power of disaster! 2:10 You give shameful counsel to your house,Cutting off many peoples,And sin against your soul. 2:11 For the stone will cry out from the wall,And the beam from the timbers will answer it. 2:12 "Woe to him who builds a town with bloodshed,Who establishes a city by iniquity! 2:13 Behold, is it not of the Lord of hostsThat the peoples labor to feed the fire,And nations weary themselves in vain? 2:14 For the earth will be filledWith the knowledge of the glory of the Lord,As the waters cover the sea. 2:15 "Woe to him who gives drink to his neighbor,Pressing him to your bottle,Even to make him drunk,That you may look on his nakedness! 2:16 You are filled with shame instead of glory.You also-drink!And be exposed as uncircumcised!The cup of the Lord's right hand will be turned against you,And utter shame will be on your glory. 2:17 For the violence done to Lebanon will cover you,And the plunder of beasts which made them afraid,Because of men's bloodAnd the violence of the land and the city,And of all who dwell in it. 2:18 "What profit is the image, that its maker should carve it,The molded image, a teacher of lies,That the maker of its mold should trust in it,To make mute idols? 2:19 Woe to him who says to wood, 'Awake!'To silent stone, 'Arise! It shall teach!'Behold, it is overlaid with gold and silver,Yet in it there is no breath at all. 2:20 But the Lord is in His holy temple.Let all the earth keep silence before Him."
10:8 すると、天から聞こえたあの声が、再びわたしに語りかけて、こう言った。「さあ行って、海と地の上に立っている天使の手にある、開かれた巻物を受け取れ。」 10:9 そこで、天使のところへ行き、「その小さな巻物をください」と言った。すると、天使はわたしに言った。「受け取って、食べてしまえ。それは、あなたの腹には苦いが、口には蜜のように甘い。」 10:10 わたしは、その小さな巻物を天使の手から受け取って、食べてしまった。それは、口には蜜のように甘かったが、食べると、わたしの腹は苦くなった。 10:11 すると、わたしにこう語りかける声が聞こえた。「あなたは、多くの民族、国民、言葉の違う民、また、王たちについて、再び預言しなければならない。」
10:8 Then the voice which I heard from heaven spoke to me again and said, "Go, take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel who stands on the sea and on the earth." 10:9 So I went to the angel and said to him, "Give me the little book." And he said to me, "Take and eat it; and it will make your stomach bitter, but it will be as sweet as honey in your mouth." 10:10 Then I took the little book out of the angel's hand and ate it, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth. But when I had eaten it, my stomach became bitter. 10:11 And he said to me, "You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, tongues, and kings."
