1:2 わたしは地の面から／すべてのものを一掃する、と主は言われる。 1:3 わたしは、人も獣も取り去り／空の鳥も海の魚も取り去る。神に逆らう者をつまずかせ／人を地の面から絶つ、と主は言われる。 1:4 わたしは、ユダの上と／エルサレムの全住民の上に手を伸ばし／バアルのあらゆる名残とその神官の名声を／祭司たちと共に、この場所から絶つ。 1:5 屋上で天の万象を拝む者／主を拝み、主に誓いを立てながら／マルカムにも誓いを立てる者 1:6 主に背を向け／主を尋ねず、主を求めようとしない者を絶つ。 1:7 主なる神の御前に沈黙せよ。主の日は近づいている。主はいけにえを用意し／呼び集められた者を屠るために聖別された。 1:8 主のいけにえの日が来れば／わたしは、高官たちと王の子らを／また、異邦人の服を着たすべての者を罰する。 1:9 その日、わたしは敷居を跳び越える者すべてを／主君の家を不法と偽りで満たす者らを罰する。 1:10 その日が来れば、と主は言われる。魚の門からは、助けを求める声が／ミシュネ地区からは、泣き叫ぶ声が／もろもろの丘からは、大きな崩壊の音が起こる。 1:11 マクテシュ地区の住民よ、泣き叫べ。商人たちはすべて滅ぼされ／銀を量る者は皆、絶たれるからだ。 1:12 そのときが来れば／わたしはともし火をかざしてエルサレムを捜し／酒のおりの上に凝り固まり、心の中で／「主は幸いをも、災いをもくだされない」と／言っている者を罰する。 1:13 彼らの財産は略奪され、家は荒れ果てる。彼らは家を建てても、住むことができず／ぶどう畑を植えても／その酒を飲むことができない。 1:14 主の大いなる日は近づいている。極めて速やかに近づいている。聞け、主の日にあがる声を。その日には、勇士も苦しみの叫びをあげる。 1:15 その日は憤りの日／苦しみと悩みの日、荒廃と滅亡の日／闇と暗黒の日、雲と濃霧の日である。 1:16 城壁に囲まれた町、城壁の角の高い塔に向かい／角笛が鳴り、鬨の声があがる日である。 1:17 わたしは人々を苦しみに遭わせ／目が見えない者のように歩かせる。彼らが主に対して罪を犯したからだ。彼らの血は塵のように／はらわたは糞のようにまき散らされる。 1:18 金も銀も彼らを救い出すことはできない。主の憤りの日に／地上はくまなく主の熱情の火に焼き尽くされる。主は恐るべき破滅を／地上に住むすべての者に臨ませられる。
1:1 The word of the Lord which came to Zephaniah the son of Cushi, the son of Gedaliah, the son of Amariah, the son of Hezekiah, in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah. 1:2 "I will utterly consume everythingFrom the face of the land,"Says the Lord; 1:3 "I will consume man and beast;I will consume the birds of the heavens,The fish of the sea,And the stumbling blocks along with the wicked.I will cut off man from the face of the land,"Says the Lord. 1:4 "I will stretch out My hand against Judah,And against all the inhabitants of Jerusalem.I will cut off every trace of Baal from this place,The names of the idolatrous priests with the pagan priests- 1:5 Those who worship the host of heaven on the housetops;Those who worship and swear oaths by the Lord,But who also swear by Milcom; 1:6 Those who have turned back from following the Lord,And have not sought the Lord, nor inquired of Him." 1:7 Be silent in the presence of the Lord God;For the day of the Lord is at hand,For the Lord has prepared a sacrifice;He has invited His guests. 1:8 "And it shall be,In the day of the Lord's sacrifice,That I will punish the princes and the king's children,And all such as are clothed with foreign apparel. 1:9 In the same day I will punishAll those who leap over the threshold,Who fill their masters' houses with violence and deceit. 1:10 "And there shall be on that day," says the Lord,"The sound of a mournful cry from the Fish Gate,A wailing from the Second Quarter,And a loud crashing from the hills. 1:11 Wail, you inhabitants of Maktesh!For all the merchant people are cut down;All those who handle money are cut off. 1:12 "And it shall come to pass at that timeThat I will search Jerusalem with lamps,And punish the menWho are settled in complacency,Who say in their heart,'The Lord will not do good,Nor will He do evil.' 1:13 Therefore their goods shall become booty,And their houses a desolation;They shall build houses, but not inhabit them;They shall plant vineyards, but not drink their wine." 1:14 The great day of the Lord is near;It is near and hastens quickly.The noise of the day of the Lord is bitter;There the mighty men shall cry out. 1:15 That day is a day of wrath,A day of trouble and distress,A day of devastation and desolation,A day of darkness and gloominess,A day of clouds and thick darkness, 1:16 A day of trumpet and alarmAgainst the fortified citiesAnd against the high towers. 1:17 "I will bring distress upon men,And they shall walk like blind men,Because they have sinned against the Lord;Their blood shall be poured out like dust,And their flesh like refuse." 1:18 Neither their silver nor their gold Shall be able to deliver themIn the day of the Lord's wrath;But the whole land shall be devouredBy the fire of His jealousy,For He will make speedy riddanceOf all those who dwell in the land.
11:15 さて、第七の天使がラッパを吹いた。すると、天にさまざまな大声があって、こう言った。「この世の国は、我らの主と、／そのメシアのものとなった。主は世々限りなく統治される。」 11:16 神の御前で、座に着いていた二十四人の長老は、ひれ伏して神を礼拝し、 11:17 こう言った。「今おられ、かつておられた方、／全能者である神、主よ、感謝いたします。大いなる力を振るって統治されたからです。 11:18 異邦人たちは怒り狂い、／あなたも怒りを現された。死者の裁かれる時が来ました。あなたの僕、預言者、聖なる者、／御名を畏れる者には、／小さな者にも大きな者にも／報いをお与えになり、／地を滅ぼす者どもを／滅ぼされる時が来ました。」 11:19 そして、天にある神の神殿が開かれて、その神殿の中にある契約の箱が見え、稲妻、さまざまな音、雷、地震が起こり、大粒の雹が降った。
11:15 Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!" 11:16 And the twenty-four elders who sat before God on their thrones fell on their faces and worshiped God, 11:17 saying:"We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty,The One who is and who was and who is to come,Because You have taken Your great power and reigned. 11:18 The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come,And the time of the dead, that they should be judged,And that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints,And those who fear Your name, small and great,And should destroy those who destroy the earth." 11:19 Then the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple. And there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, and great hail.
