6:1 わが子よ、もし友人の保証人となって／他国の者に手を打って誓い 6:2 あなたの口の言葉によって罠に陥り／あなたの口の言葉によって罠にかかったなら 6:3 わが子よ、そのときにはこうして自分を救え。命は友人の手中にあるのだから／行って足を踏みならし、友人を責め立てよ。 6:4 あなたの目に眠りを与えず／まぶたにまどろむことを許すな。 6:5 狩人の罠を逃れるかもしかのように／鳥のように、自分を救い出せ。
6:6 怠け者よ、蟻のところに行って見よ。その道を見て、知恵を得よ。 6:7 蟻には首領もなく、指揮官も支配者もないが 6:8 夏の間にパンを備え、刈り入れ時に食糧を集める。 6:9 怠け者よ、いつまで横になっているのか。いつ、眠りから起き上がるのか。 6:10 しばらく眠り、しばらくまどろみ／しばらく手をこまぬいて、また横になる。 6:11 貧乏は盗賊のように／欠乏は盾を持つ者のように襲う。 6:12 ならず者、悪を行う者、曲がったことを言い歩く者 6:13 目くばせし、足で合図し、指さす者 6:14 心に暴言を隠し、悪を耕し／絶えずいさかいを起こさせる者 6:15 このような者には、突然、災いが襲いかかり／たちまち痛手を負うが、彼を癒す者はない。 6:16 主の憎まれるものが六つある。心からいとわれるものが七つある。 6:17 驕り高ぶる目、うそをつく舌／罪もない人の血を流す手 6:18 悪だくみを耕す心、悪事へと急いで走る足 6:19 欺いて発言する者、うそをつく証人／兄弟の間にいさかいを起こさせる者。
6:20 わが子よ、父の戒めを守れ。母の教えをおろそかにするな。 6:21 それをいつもあなたの心に結びつけ／首に巻きつけよ。 6:22 それはあなたの歩みを導き／あなたが横たわるとき見守り／目覚めればあなたに話しかける。 6:23 戒めは灯、教えは光。懲らしめや諭しは命の道。 6:24 それはあなたを悪い女から／異邦の女の滑らかな舌から守ってくれる。 6:25 彼女の美しさを心に慕うな。そのまなざしのとりこになるな。 6:26 遊女への支払いは一塊のパン程度だが／人妻は貴い命を要求する。 6:27 火をふところにかきこんで／衣を焼かれない者があろうか。 6:28 炭火の上を歩いて／足にやけどをしない者があろうか。 6:29 友人の妻と通じる者も同様。彼女に触れれば、罰せられずには済まない。 6:30 飢えを満たそうとして盗みを働いた者を／だれも侮りはすまいが 6:31 それでもつかまれば、七倍の償いをし／家財の一切をそれにあてなければならない。 6:32 人妻と密通する者は意志力のない男。身の破滅を求める者。 6:33 疫病と軽蔑に遭い、恥は決してそそがれない。 6:34 夫は嫉妬と怒りにかられ／ある日、彼に報復して容赦せず 6:35 どのような償いをも受け入れず／どれほど贈り物を積んでも受け取りはすまい。
6:1 My son, if you become surety for your friend,If you have shaken hands in pledge for a stranger, 6:2 You are snared by the words of your mouth;You are taken by the words of your mouth. 6:3 So do this, my son, and deliver yourself;For you have come into the hand of your friend:Go and humble yourself;Plead with your friend. 6:4 Give no sleep to your eyes,Nor slumber to your eyelids. 6:5 Deliver yourself like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter,And like a bird from the hand of the fowler. 6:6 Go to the ant, you sluggard!Consider her ways and be wise, 6:7 Which, having no captain,Overseer or ruler, 6:8 Provides her supplies in the summer,And gathers her food in the harvest. 6:9 How long will you slumber, O sluggard?When will you rise from your sleep? 6:10 A little sleep, a little slumber,A little folding of the hands to sleep- 6:11 So shall your poverty come on you like a prowler,And your need like an armed man. 6:12 A worthless person, a wicked man,Walks with a perverse mouth; 6:13 He winks with his eyes,He shuffles his feet,He points with his fingers; 6:14 Perversity is in his heart,He devises evil continually,He sows discord. 6:15 Therefore his calamity shall come suddenly;Suddenly he shall be broken without remedy. 6:16 These six things the Lord hates,Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: 6:17 A proud look,A lying tongue,Hands that shed innocent blood, 6:18 A heart that devises wicked plans,Feet that are swift in running to evil, 6:19 A false witness who speaks lies,And one who sows discord among brethren. 6:20 My son, keep your father's command,And do not forsake the law of your mother. 6:21 Bind them continually upon your heart;Tie them around your neck. 6:22 When you roam, they will lead you;When you sleep, they will keep you;And when you awake, they will speak with you. 6:23 For the commandment is a lamp,And the law a light;Reproofs of instruction are the way of life, 6:24 To keep you from the evil woman,From the flattering tongue of a seductress. 6:25 Do not lust after her beauty in your heart,Nor let her allure you with her eyelids. 6:26 For by means of a harlotA man is reduced to a crust of bread;And an adulteress will prey upon his precious life. 6:27 Can a man take fire to his bosom,And his clothes not be burned? 6:28 Can one walk on hot coals,And his feet not be seared? 6:29 So is he who goes in to his neighbor's wife;Whoever touches her shall not be innocent. 6:30 People do not despise a thiefIf he steals to satisfy himself when he is starving. 6:31 Yet when he is found, he must restore sevenfold;He may have to give up all the substance of his house. 6:32 Whoever commits adultery with a woman lacks understanding;He who does so destroys his own soul. 6:33 Wounds and dishonor he will get,And his reproach will not be wiped away. 6:34 For jealousy is a husband's fury;Therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance. 6:35 He will accept no recompense,Nor will he be appeased though you give many gifts.
8:12 それで、兄弟たち、わたしたちには一つの義務がありますが、それは、肉に従って生きなければならないという、肉に対する義務ではありません。 8:13 肉に従って生きるなら、あなたがたは死にます。しかし、霊によって体の仕業を絶つならば、あなたがたは生きます。 8:14 神の霊によって導かれる者は皆、神の子なのです。 8:15 あなたがたは、人を奴隷として再び恐れに陥れる霊ではなく、神の子とする霊を受けたのです。この霊によってわたしたちは、「アッバ、父よ」と呼ぶのです。 8:16 この霊こそは、わたしたちが神の子供であることを、わたしたちの霊と一緒になって証ししてくださいます。 8:17 もし子供であれば、相続人でもあります。神の相続人、しかもキリストと共同の相続人です。キリストと共に苦しむなら、共にその栄光をも受けるからです。
8:18 現在の苦しみは、将来わたしたちに現されるはずの栄光に比べると、取るに足りないとわたしは思います。 8:19 被造物は、神の子たちの現れるのを切に待ち望んでいます。 8:20 被造物は虚無に服していますが、それは、自分の意志によるものではなく、服従させた方の意志によるものであり、同時に希望も持っています。 8:21 つまり、被造物も、いつか滅びへの隷属から解放されて、神の子供たちの栄光に輝く自由にあずかれるからです。 8:22 被造物がすべて今日まで、共にうめき、共に産みの苦しみを味わっていることを、わたしたちは知っています。 8:23 被造物だけでなく、“霊”の初穂をいただいているわたしたちも、神の子とされること、つまり、体の贖われることを、心の中でうめきながら待ち望んでいます。 8:24 わたしたちは、このような希望によって救われているのです。見えるものに対する希望は希望ではありません。現に見ているものをだれがなお望むでしょうか。 8:25 わたしたちは、目に見えないものを望んでいるなら、忍耐して待ち望むのです。 8:26 同様に、“霊”も弱いわたしたちを助けてくださいます。わたしたちはどう祈るべきかを知りませんが、“霊”自らが、言葉に表せないうめきをもって執り成してくださるからです。 8:27 人の心を見抜く方は、“霊”の思いが何であるかを知っておられます。“霊”は、神の御心に従って、聖なる者たちのために執り成してくださるからです。
8:12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors-not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. 8:13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 8:15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father." 8:16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 8:17 and if children, then heirs-heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. 8:18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. 8:20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; 8:21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 8:22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. 8:23 Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. 8:24 For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? 8:25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance. 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 8:27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
