13:1 子は父の諭しによって知恵を得る。不遜な者は叱責に聞き従わない。 13:2 口の言葉が結ぶ実によって／人は良いものを享受する。欺く者の欲望は不法に向かう。 13:3 自分の口を警戒する者は命を守る。いたずらに唇を開く者は滅びる。 13:4 怠け者は欲望をもっても何も得られず／勤勉な人は望めば豊かに満たされる。 13:5 神に従う人は偽りの言葉を憎む。神に逆らう者は悪臭を放ち、辱められる。 13:6 慈善は完全な道を歩む人を守り／神に逆らうことは罪ある者を滅ぼす。 13:7 富んでいると見せて、無一物の者がいる。貧乏と見せて、大きな財産を持つ者がある。 13:8 財産が自分の身代金になる者もある。貧しい人は叱責を聞くことはない。 13:9 神に従う人の光は喜ばしく輝き／神に逆らう者の灯は消される。 13:10 高慢にふるまえば争いになるばかりだ。勧めを受け入れる人は知恵を得る。 13:11 財産は吐く息よりも速く減って行くが／手をもって集めれば増やすことができる。 13:12 待ち続けるだけでは心が病む。かなえられた望みは命の木。 13:13 言葉を侮る者は滅ぼされ／戒めを敬う者は報われる。 13:14 賢人の教えは命の源。死の罠を避けさせる。 13:15 見識は優雅さを伴う。欺く者の道は手ごわい。 13:16 思慮深い人は皆知識に基づいてふるまう。愚か者は無知をさらけ出す。 13:17 神に逆らう使者は災いに遭い／忠実な使いは癒す。 13:18 諭しをなおざりにする者は貧乏と軽蔑に遭う。懲らしめを守れば名誉を得る。 13:19 欲望がかなえられれば魂は快い。愚か者は悪を避けることをいとう。 13:20 知恵ある者と共に歩けば知恵を得／愚か者と交われば災いに遭う。 13:21 災難は罪人を追う。神に従う人には良い報いがある。 13:22 善人は孫の代にまで嗣業を残す。罪人の富は神に従う人のために蓄えられる。 13:23 貧しい人の耕作地に多くの食糧が実っても／正義が行われなければ奪われる。 13:24 鞭を控えるものは自分の子を憎む者。子を愛する人は熱心に諭しを与える。 13:25 神に従う人は食べてその望みを満たす。神に逆らう者の腹は満たされることがない。
13:1 A wise son heeds his father's instruction,But a scoffer does not listen to rebuke. 13:2 A man shall eat well by the fruit of his mouth,But the soul of the unfaithful feeds on violence. 13:3 He who guards his mouth preserves his life,But he who opens wide his lips shall have destruction. 13:4 The soul of a lazy man desires, and has nothing;But the soul of the diligent shall be made rich. 13:5 A righteous man hates lying,But a wicked man is loathsome and comes to shame. 13:6 Righteousness guards him whose way is blameless,But wickedness overthrows the sinner. 13:7 There is one who makes himself rich, yet has nothing;And one who makes himself poor, yet has great riches. 13:8 The ransom of a man's life is his riches,But the poor does not hear rebuke. 13:9 The light of the righteous rejoices,But the lamp of the wicked will be put out. 13:10 By pride comes nothing but strife,But with the well-advised is wisdom. 13:11 Wealth gained by dishonesty will be diminished,But he who gathers by labor will increase. 13:12 Hope deferred makes the heart sick,But when the desire comes, it is a tree of life. 13:13 He who despises the word will be destroyed,But he who fears the commandment will be rewarded. 13:14 The law of the wise is a fountain of life,To turn one away from the snares of death. 13:15 Good understanding gains favor,But the way of the unfaithful is hard. 13:16 Every prudent man acts with knowledge,But a fool lays open his folly. 13:17 A wicked messenger falls into trouble,But a faithful ambassador brings health. 13:18 Poverty and shame will come to him who disdains correction,But he who regards a rebuke will be honored. 13:19 A desire accomplished is sweet to the soul,But it is an abomination to fools to depart from evil. 13:20 He who walks with wise men will be wise,But the companion of fools will be destroyed. 13:21 Evil pursues sinners,But to the righteous, good shall be repaid. 13:22 A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children,But the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous. 13:23 Much food is in the fallow ground of the poor,And for lack of justice there is waste. 13:24 He who spares his rod hates his son,But he who loves him disciplines him promptly. 13:25 The righteous eats to the satisfying of his soul,But the stomach of the wicked shall be in want.
11:13 では、あなたがた異邦人に言います。わたしは異邦人のための使徒であるので、自分の務めを光栄に思います。 11:14 何とかして自分の同胞にねたみを起こさせ、その幾人かでも救いたいのです。 11:15 もし彼らの捨てられることが、世界の和解となるならば、彼らが受け入れられることは、死者の中からの命でなくて何でしょう。 11:16 麦の初穂が聖なるものであれば、練り粉全体もそうであり、根が聖なるものであれば、枝もそうです。 11:17 しかし、ある枝が折り取られ、野生のオリーブであるあなたが、その代わりに接ぎ木され、根から豊かな養分を受けるようになったからといって、 11:18 折り取られた枝に対して誇ってはなりません。誇ったところで、あなたが根を支えているのではなく、根があなたを支えているのです。 11:19 すると、あなたは、「枝が折り取られたのは、わたしが接ぎ木されるためだった」と言うでしょう。 11:20 そのとおりです。ユダヤ人は、不信仰のために折り取られましたが、あなたは信仰によって立っています。思い上がってはなりません。むしろ恐れなさい。 11:21 神は、自然に生えた枝を容赦されなかったとすれば、恐らくあなたをも容赦されないでしょう。 11:22 だから、神の慈しみと厳しさを考えなさい。倒れた者たちに対しては厳しさがあり、神の慈しみにとどまるかぎり、あなたに対しては慈しみがあるのです。もしとどまらないなら、あなたも切り取られるでしょう。 11:23 彼らも、不信仰にとどまらないならば、接ぎ木されるでしょう。神は、彼らを再び接ぎ木することがおできになるのです。 11:24 もしあなたが、もともと野生であるオリーブの木から切り取られ、元の性質に反して、栽培されているオリーブの木に接ぎ木されたとすれば、まして、元からこのオリーブの木に付いていた枝は、どれほどたやすく元の木に接ぎ木されることでしょう。
11:13 For I speak to you Gentiles; inasmuch as I am an apostle to the Gentiles, I magnify my ministry, 11:14 if by any means I may provoke to jealousy those who are my flesh and save some of them. 11:15 For if their being cast away is the reconciling of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead? 11:16 For if the firstfruit is holy, the lump is also holy; and if the root is holy, so are the branches. 11:17 And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree, 11:18 do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, remember that you do not support the root, but the root supports you. 11:19 You will say then, "Branches were broken off that I might be grafted in." 11:20 Well said. Because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Do not be haughty, but fear. 11:21 For if God did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either. 11:22 Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off. 11:23 And they also, if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. 11:24 For if you were cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and were grafted contrary to nature into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, who are natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?
