33:1 さてヨブよ、わたしの言葉を聞き／わたしの言うことによく耳を傾けよ。 33:2 見よ、わたしは口を開き／舌は口の中で動き始める。 33:3 わたしの言葉はわたしの心を率直に表し／唇は知っていることをはっきりと語る。 33:4 神の霊がわたしを造り／全能者の息吹がわたしに命を与えたのだ。 33:5 答えられるなら、答えてみよ。備えをして、わたしの前に立て。 33:6 神の前では、わたしもあなたと同じように／土から取られたひとかけらのものにすぎない。 33:7 見よ、わたしには脅かすような威力はない。あなたを押さえつけようとしているのではない。 33:8 あなたが話すのはわたしの耳に入り／声も言葉もわたしは聞いた。 33:9 「わたしは潔白で、罪を犯していない。わたしは清く、とがめられる理由はない。 33:10 それでも神はわたしに対する不満を見いだし／わたしを敵視される。 33:11 わたしに足枷をはめ／行く道を見張っておられる。」 33:12 ここにあなたの過ちがある、と言おう。神は人間よりも強くいます。 33:13 なぜ、あなたは神と争おうとするのか。神はそのなさることを／いちいち説明されない。 33:14 神は一つのことによって語られ／また、二つのことによって語られるが／人はそれに気がつかない。 33:15 人が深い眠りに包まれ、横たわって眠ると／夢の中で、夜の幻の中で 33:16 神は人の耳を開き／懲らしめの言葉を封じ込められる。 33:17 人が行いを改め、誇りを抑え 33:18 こうして、その魂が滅亡を免れ／命が死の川を渡らずに済むようにされる。 33:19 苦痛に責められて横たわる人があるとする。骨のうずきは絶えることなく 33:20 命はパンをいとい／魂は好みの食べ物をすらいとう。 33:21 肉は消耗して見えなくなり／見えなかった骨は姿を現し 33:22 魂は滅亡に／命はそれを奪うものに近づいてゆく。 33:23 千人に一人でもこの人のために執り成し／その正しさを示すために／遣わされる御使いがあり 33:24 彼を憐れんで／「この人を免除し、滅亡に落とさないでください。代償を見つけて来ました」と言ってくれるなら 33:25 彼の肉は新しくされて／若者よりも健やかになり／再び若いときのようになるであろう。 33:26 彼は神に祈って受け入れられ／歓びの叫びの内に御顔を仰ぎ／再び神はこの人を正しいと認められるであろう。 33:27 彼は人々の前でたたえて歌うであろう。「わたしは罪を犯し／正しいことを曲げた。それはわたしのなすべきことではなかった。 33:28 しかし神はわたしの魂を滅亡から救い出された。わたしは命を得て光を仰ぐ」と。 33:29 まことに神はこのようになさる。人間のために、二度でも三度でも。 33:30 その魂を滅亡から呼び戻し／命の光に輝かせてくださる。 33:31 ヨブよ、耳を傾けて／わたしの言うことを聞け。沈黙せよ、わたしに語らせよ。 33:32 わたしに答えて言うことがあるなら、語れ。正しい主張を聞くのがわたしの望みだ。 33:33 言うことがなければ、耳を傾けよ。沈黙せよ、わたしがあなたに知恵を示そう。
33:1 "But please, Job, hear my speech,And listen to all my words. 33:2 Now, I open my mouth;My tongue speaks in my mouth. 33:3 My words come from my upright heart;My lips utter pure knowledge. 33:4 The Spirit of God has made me,And the breath of the Almighty gives me life. 33:5 If you can answer me,Set your words in order before me;Take your stand. 33:6 Truly I am as your spokesman before God;I also have been formed out of clay. 33:7 Surely no fear of me will terrify you,Nor will my hand be heavy on you. 33:8 "Surely you have spoken in my hearing,And I have heard the sound of your words, saying, 33:9 'I am pure, without transgression;I am innocent, and there is no iniquity in me. 33:10 Yet He finds occasions against me,He counts me as His enemy; 33:11 He puts my feet in the stocks,He watches all my paths.' 33:12 "Look, in this you are not righteous.I will answer you,For God is greater than man. 33:13 Why do you contend with Him?For He does not give an accounting of any of His words. 33:14 For God may speak in one way, or in another,Yet man does not perceive it. 33:15 In a dream, in a vision of the night,When deep sleep falls upon men,While slumbering on their beds, 33:16 Then He opens the ears of men,And seals their instruction. 33:17 In order to turn man from his deed,And conceal pride from man, 33:18 He keeps back his soul from the Pit,And his life from perishing by the sword. 33:19 "Man is also chastened with pain on his bed,And with strong pain in many of his bones, 33:20 So that his life abhors bread,And his soul succulent food. 33:21 His flesh wastes away from sight,And his bones stick out which once were not seen. 33:22 Yes, his soul draws near the Pit,And his life to the executioners. 33:23 "If there is a messenger for him,A mediator, one among a thousand,To show man His uprightness, 33:24 Then He is gracious to him, and says,'Deliver him from going down to the Pit;I have found a ransom'; 33:25 His flesh shall be young like a child's,He shall return to the days of his youth. 33:26 He shall pray to God, and He will delight in him,He shall see His face with joy,For He restores to man His righteousness. 33:27 Then he looks at men and says,'I have sinned, and perverted what was right,And it did not profit me.' 33:28 He will redeem his soul from going down to the Pit,And his life shall see the light. 33:29 "Behold, God works all these things,Twice, in fact, three times with a man, 33:30 To bring back his soul from the Pit,That he may be enlightened with the light of life. 33:31 "Give ear, Job, listen to me;Hold your peace, and I will speak. 33:32 If you have anything to say, answer me;Speak, for I desire to justify you. 33:33 If not, listen to me;Hold your peace, and I will teach you wisdom."

1:8 まず初めに、イエス・キリストを通して、あなたがた一同についてわたしの神に感謝します。あなたがたの信仰が全世界に言い伝えられているからです。 1:9 わたしは、御子の福音を宣べ伝えながら心から神に仕えています。その神が証ししてくださることですが、わたしは、祈るときにはいつもあなたがたのことを思い起こし、 1:10 何とかしていつかは神の御心によってあなたがたのところへ行ける機会があるように、願っています。 1:11 あなたがたにぜひ会いたいのは、“霊”の賜物をいくらかでも分け与えて、力になりたいからです。 1:12 あなたがたのところで、あなたがたとわたしが互いに持っている信仰によって、励まし合いたいのです。 1:13 兄弟たち、ぜひ知ってもらいたい。ほかの異邦人のところと同じく、あなたがたのところでも何か実りを得たいと望んで、何回もそちらに行こうと企てながら、今日まで妨げられているのです。 1:14 わたしは、ギリシア人にも未開の人にも、知恵のある人にもない人にも、果たすべき責任があります。 1:15 それで、ローマにいるあなたがたにも、ぜひ福音を告げ知らせたいのです。

1:1 Paul, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated to the gospel of God 1:2 which He promised before through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures, 1:3 concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who was born of the seed of David according to the flesh, 1:4 and declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead. 1:5 Through Him we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations for His name, 1:6 among whom you also are the called of Jesus Christ; 1:7 To all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 1:8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world. 1:9 For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of His Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers, 1:10 making request if, by some means, now at last I may find a way in the will of God to come to you. 1:11 For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, so that you may be established- 1:12 that is, that I may be encouraged together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me. 1:13 Now I do not want you to be unaware, brethren, that I often planned to come to you (but was hindered until now), that I might have some fruit among you also, just as among the other Gentiles. 1:14 I am a debtor both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to wise and to unwise. 1:15 So, as much as is in me, I am ready to preach the gospel to you who are in Rome also. 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 1:17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "The just shall live by faith."
