35:1 Moreover Elihu answered and said: 35:2 "Do you think this is right?Do you say,'My righteousness is more than God's'? 35:3 For you say, 'What advantage will it be to You?What profit shall I have, more than if I had sinned?' 35:4 "I will answer you,And your companions with you. 35:5 Look to the heavens and see;And behold the clouds-They are higher than you. 35:6 If you sin, what do you accomplish against Him?Or, if your transgressions are multiplied, what do you do to Him? 35:7 If you are righteous, what do you give Him?Or what does He receive from your hand? 35:8 Your wickedness affects a man such as you,And your righteousness a son of man. 35:9 "Because of the multitude of oppressions they cry out;They cry out for help because of the arm of the mighty. 35:10 But no one says, 'Where is God my Maker,Who gives songs in the night, 35:11 Who teaches us more than the beasts of the earth,And makes us wiser than the birds of heaven?' 35:12 There they cry out, but He does not answer,Because of the pride of evil men. 35:13 Surely God will not listen to empty talk,Nor will the Almighty regard it. 35:14 Although you say you do not see Him,Yet justice is before Him, and you must wait for Him. 35:15 And now, because He has not punished in His anger,Nor taken much notice of folly, 35:16 Therefore Job opens his mouth in vain;He multiplies words without knowledge."
2:1 だから、すべて人を裁く者よ、弁解の余地はない。あなたは、他人を裁きながら、実は自分自身を罪に定めている。あなたも人を裁いて、同じことをしているからです。 2:2 神はこのようなことを行う者を正しくお裁きになると、わたしたちは知っています。 2:3 このようなことをする者を裁きながら、自分でも同じことをしている者よ、あなたは、神の裁きを逃れられると思うのですか。 2:4 あるいは、神の憐れみがあなたを悔い改めに導くことも知らないで、その豊かな慈愛と寛容と忍耐とを軽んじるのですか。 2:5 あなたは、かたくなで心を改めようとせず、神の怒りを自分のために蓄えています。この怒りは、神が正しい裁きを行われる怒りの日に現れるでしょう。 2:6 神はおのおのの行いに従ってお報いになります。 2:7 すなわち、忍耐強く善を行い、栄光と誉れと不滅のものを求める者には、永遠の命をお与えになり、 2:8 反抗心にかられ、真理ではなく不義に従う者には、怒りと憤りをお示しになります。 2:9 すべて悪を行う者には、ユダヤ人はもとよりギリシア人にも、苦しみと悩みが下り、 2:10 すべて善を行う者には、ユダヤ人はもとよりギリシア人にも、栄光と誉れと平和が与えられます。 2:11 神は人を分け隔てなさいません。
2:1 Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are who judge, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things. 2:2 But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth against those who practice such things. 2:3 And do you think this, O man, you who judge those practicing such things, and doing the same, that you will escape the judgment of God? 2:4 Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance? 2:5 But in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, 2:6 who "will render to each one according to his deeds": 2:7 eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; 2:8 but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness-indignation and wrath, 2:9 tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek; 2:10 but glory, honor, and peace to everyone who works what is good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 2:11 For there is no partiality with God.
