29:1 懲らしめられることが多いと人は頑固になる。彼は突然打ち砕かれ、もう癒すことはできない。 29:2 神に従う人が大いになると民は喜び／神に逆らう人が支配すると民は嘆く。 29:3 知恵を愛する人は父を喜ばせる。遊女を友とする者は財産を失う。 29:4 王が正しい裁きによって国を安定させても／貢ぎ物を取り立てる者がこれを滅ぼす。 29:5 友にへつらう者は／彼の一歩一歩に網を仕掛ける者。 29:6 悪を行う者は罪の罠にかかる。神に従う人は喜びの叫びをあげる。 29:7 神に従う人は弱者の訴えを認める。神に逆らう者はそれを認めず、理解しない。 29:8 不遜な者らが町に騒動を起こす。知恵ある人々は怒りを静める。 29:9 知恵ある人が無知な者と裁きの座で対すると／無知な者は怒り、嘲笑い、静まることがない。 29:10 無垢な人を憎み、その血を流そうとする者がある。正しい人々はその命を助けようとする。 29:11 愚か者は自分の感情をさらけ出す。知恵ある人はそれを制し静める。 29:12 支配者が偽りの言葉に耳を貸すなら／仕える人は皆、逆らう者となる。 29:13 貧しい人と虐げる者とが出会う。主はどちらの目にも光を与えておられる。 29:14 弱い人にも忠実な裁きをする王。その王座はとこしえに堅く立つ。 29:15 懲らしめの杖は知恵を与える。放任されていた子は母の恥となる。 29:16 神に逆らう者が多くなると罪も増す。神に従う人は彼らの滅びるさまを見るであろう。 29:17 あなたの子を諭すなら、安心していられる。彼はあなたの魂に楽しみを与える。 29:18 幻がなければ民は堕落する。教えを守る者は幸いである。 29:19 僕を言葉で諭すことはできない。理解したとしても、答えないであろう。 29:20 軽率に話す者を見たか。彼よりは愚か者にまだ望みがある。 29:21 僕を幼いときから甘やかしていると／後には手のつけられないものになる。 29:22 怒りやすい人はいさかいを引き起こし／激しやすい人は多く罪を犯す。 29:23 驕る者は低くされ／心の低い人は誉れを受けるようになる。 29:24 盗人にくみする者は自分の魂を憎む者／呪いが聞こえても黙っている。 29:25 人は恐怖の罠にかかる。主を信頼する者は高い所に置かれる。 29:26 支配者の御機嫌をうかがう者は多い。しかし、人を裁くのは主である。 29:27 神に従う人は悪を行う者を憎む。神に逆らう者は正しく歩む人を憎む。
29:1 He who is often rebuked, and hardens his neck,Will suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy. 29:2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice;But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. 29:3 Whoever loves wisdom makes his father rejoice,But a companion of harlots wastes his wealth. 29:4 The king establishes the land by justice,But he who receives bribes overthrows it. 29:5 A man who flatters his neighborSpreads a net for his feet. 29:6 By transgression an evil man is snared,But the righteous sings and rejoices. 29:7 The righteous considers the cause of the poor,But the wicked does not understand such knowledge. 29:8 Scoffers set a city aflame,But wise men turn away wrath. 29:9 If a wise man contends with a foolish man,Whether the fool rages or laughs, there is no peace. 29:10 The bloodthirsty hate the blameless,But the upright seek his well-being. 29:11 A fool vents all his feelings,But a wise man holds them back. 29:12 If a ruler pays attention to lies,All his servants become wicked. 29:13 The poor man and the oppressor have this in common:The Lord gives light to the eyes of both. 29:14 The king who judges the poor with truth,His throne will be established forever. 29:15 The rod and rebuke give wisdom,But a child left to himself brings shame to his mother. 29:16 When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increases;But the righteous will see their fall. 29:17 Correct your son, and he will give you rest;Yes, he will give delight to your soul. 29:18 Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint;But happy is he who keeps the law. 29:19 A servant will not be corrected by mere words;For though he understands, he will not respond. 29:20 Do you see a man hasty in his words?There is more hope for a fool than for him. 29:21 He who pampers his servant from childhoodWill have him as a son in the end. 29:22 An angry man stirs up strife,And a furious man abounds in transgression. 29:23 A man's pride will bring him low,But the humble in spirit will retain honor. 29:24 Whoever is a partner with a thief hates his own life;He swears to tell the truth, but reveals nothing. 29:25 The fear of man brings a snare,But whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe. 29:26 Many seek the ruler's favor,But justice for man comes from the Lord. 29:27 An unjust man is an abomination to the righteous,And he who is upright in the way is an abomination to the wicked.
3:10 わたしは、神からいただいた恵みによって、熟練した建築家のように土台を据えました。そして、他の人がその上に家を建てています。ただ、おのおの、どのように建てるかに注意すべきです。 3:11 イエス・キリストという既に据えられている土台を無視して、だれもほかの土台を据えることはできません。 3:12 この土台の上に、だれかが金、銀、宝石、木、草、わらで家を建てる場合、 3:13 おのおのの仕事は明るみに出されます。かの日にそれは明らかにされるのです。なぜなら、かの日が火と共に現れ、その火はおのおのの仕事がどんなものであるかを吟味するからです。 3:14 だれかがその土台の上に建てた仕事が残れば、その人は報いを受けますが、 3:15 燃え尽きてしまえば、損害を受けます。ただ、その人は、火の中をくぐり抜けて来た者のように、救われます。 3:16 あなたがたは、自分が神の神殿であり、神の霊が自分たちの内に住んでいることを知らないのですか。 3:17 神の神殿を壊す者がいれば、神はその人を滅ぼされるでしょう。神の神殿は聖なるものだからです。あなたがたはその神殿なのです。 3:18 だれも自分を欺いてはなりません。もし、あなたがたのだれかが、自分はこの世で知恵のある者だと考えているなら、本当に知恵のある者となるために愚かな者になりなさい。 3:19 この世の知恵は、神の前では愚かなものだからです。「神は、知恵のある者たちを／その悪賢さによって捕らえられる」と書いてあり、 3:20 また、／「主は知っておられる、／知恵のある者たちの論議がむなしいことを」とも書いてあります。 3:21 ですから、だれも人間を誇ってはなりません。すべては、あなたがたのものです。 3:22 パウロもアポロもケファも、世界も生も死も、今起こっていることも将来起こることも。一切はあなたがたのもの、 3:23 あなたがたはキリストのもの、キリストは神のものなのです。
3:10 According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. 3:11 For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 3:12 Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, 3:13 each one's work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one's work, of what sort it is. 3:14 If anyone's work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. 3:15 If anyone's work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire. 3:16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 3:17 If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are. 3:18 Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. 3:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, "He catches the wise in their own craftiness"; 3:20 and again, "The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile." 3:21 Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours: 3:22 whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas, or the world or life or death, or things present or things to come-all are yours. 3:23 And you are Christ's, and Christ is God's.
