11:1 あなたのパンを水に浮かべて流すがよい。月日がたってから、それを見いだすだろう。 11:2 七人と、八人とすら、分かち合っておけ／国にどのような災いが起こるか／分かったものではない。 11:3 雨が雲に満ちれば、それは地に滴る。南風に倒されても北風に倒されても／木はその倒れたところに横たわる。 11:4 風向きを気にすれば種は蒔けない。雲行きを気にすれば刈り入れはできない。 11:5 妊婦の胎内で霊や骨組がどの様になるのかも分からないのに、すべてのことを成し遂げられる神の業が分かるわけはない。 11:6 朝、種を蒔け、夜にも手を休めるな。実を結ぶのはあれかこれか／それとも両方なのか、分からないのだから。 11:7 光は快く、太陽を見るのは楽しい。 11:8 長生きし、喜びに満ちているときにも／暗い日々も多くあろうことを忘れないように。何が来ようとすべて空しい。 11:9 若者よ、お前の若さを喜ぶがよい。青年時代を楽しく過ごせ。心にかなう道を、目に映るところに従って行け。知っておくがよい／神はそれらすべてについて／お前を裁きの座に連れて行かれると。 11:10 心から悩みを去り、肉体から苦しみを除け。若さも青春も空しい。
11:1 Cast your bread upon the waters,For you will find it after many days. 11:2 Give a serving to seven, and also to eight,For you do not know what evil will be on the earth. 11:3 If the clouds are full of rain,They empty themselves upon the earth;And if a tree falls to the south or the north,In the place where the tree falls, there it shall lie. 11:4 He who observes the wind will not sow,And he who regards the clouds will not reap. 11:5 As you do not know what is the way of the wind,Or how the bones grow in the womb of her who is with child,So you do not know the works of God who makes everything. 11:6 In the morning sow your seed,And in the evening do not withhold your hand;For you do not know which will prosper,Either this or that,Or whether both alike will be good. 11:7 Truly the light is sweet,And it is pleasant for the eyes to behold the sun; 11:8 But if a man lives many yearsAnd rejoices in them all,Yet let him remember the days of darkness,For they will be many.All that is coming is vanity. 11:9 Rejoice, O young man, in your youth,And let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth;Walk in the ways of your heart,And in the sight of your eyes;But know that for all theseGod will bring you into judgment. 11:10 Therefore remove sorrow from your heart,And put away evil from your flesh,For childhood and youth are vanity.
10:14 わたしの愛する人たち、こういうわけですから、偶像礼拝を避けなさい。 10:15 わたしはあなたがたを分別ある者と考えて話します。わたしの言うことを自分で判断しなさい。 10:16 わたしたちが神を賛美する賛美の杯は、キリストの血にあずかることではないか。わたしたちが裂くパンは、キリストの体にあずかることではないか。 10:17 パンは一つだから、わたしたちは大勢でも一つの体です。皆が一つのパンを分けて食べるからです。 10:18 肉によるイスラエルの人々のことを考えてみなさい。供え物を食べる人は、それが供えてあった祭壇とかかわる者になるのではありませんか。 10:19 わたしは何を言おうとしているのか。偶像に供えられた肉が何か意味を持つということでしょうか。それとも、偶像が何か意味を持つということでしょうか。 10:20 いや、わたしが言おうとしているのは、偶像に献げる供え物は、神ではなく悪霊に献げている、という点なのです。わたしは、あなたがたに悪霊の仲間になってほしくありません。 10:21 主の杯と悪霊の杯の両方を飲むことはできないし、主の食卓と悪霊の食卓の両方に着くことはできません。 10:22 それとも、主にねたみを起こさせるつもりなのですか。わたしたちは、主より強い者でしょうか。
10:23 「すべてのことが許されている。」しかし、すべてのことが益になるわけではない。「すべてのことが許されている。」しかし、すべてのことがわたしたちを造り上げるわけではない。 10:24 だれでも、自分の利益ではなく他人の利益を追い求めなさい。 10:25 市場で売っているものは、良心の問題としていちいち詮索せず、何でも食べなさい。 10:26 「地とそこに満ちているものは、主のもの」だからです。 10:27 あなたがたが、信仰を持っていない人から招待され、それに応じる場合、自分の前に出されるものは、良心の問題としていちいち詮索せず、何でも食べなさい。 10:28 しかし、もしだれかがあなたがたに、「これは偶像に供えられた肉です」と言うなら、その人のため、また、良心のために食べてはいけません。 10:29 わたしがこの場合、「良心」と言うのは、自分の良心ではなく、そのように言う他人の良心のことです。どうしてわたしの自由が、他人の良心によって左右されることがありましょう。 10:30 わたしが感謝して食べているのに、そのわたしが感謝しているものについて、なぜ悪口を言われるわけがあるのです。 10:31 だから、あなたがたは食べるにしろ飲むにしろ、何をするにしても、すべて神の栄光を現すためにしなさい。 10:32 ユダヤ人にも、ギリシア人にも、神の教会にも、あなたがたは人を惑わす原因にならないようにしなさい。 10:33 わたしも、人々を救うために、自分の益ではなく多くの人の益を求めて、すべての点ですべての人を喜ばそうとしているのですから。
11:1 わたしがキリストに倣う者であるように、あなたがたもこのわたしに倣う者となりなさい。
10:14 Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry. 10:15 I speak as to wise men; judge for yourselves what I say. 10:16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? 10:17 For we, though many, are one bread and one body; for we all partake of that one bread. 10:18 Observe Israel after the flesh: Are not those who eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar? 10:19 What am I saying then? That an idol is anything, or what is offered to idols is anything? 10:20 Rather, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I do not want you to have fellowship with demons. 10:21 You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Lord's table and of the table of demons. 10:22 Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than He? 10:23 All things are lawful for me, but not all things are helpful; all things are lawful for me, but not all things edify. 10:24 Let no one seek his own, but each one the other's well-being. 10:25 Eat whatever is sold in the meat market, asking no questions for conscience' sake; 10:26 for "the earth is the Lord's, and all its fullness." 10:27 If any of those who do not believe invites you to dinner, and you desire to go, eat whatever is set before you, asking no question for conscience' sake. 10:28 But if anyone says to you, "This was offered to idols," do not eat it for the sake of the one who told you, and for conscience' sake; for "the earth is the Lord's, and all its fullness." 10:29 "Conscience," I say, not your own, but that of the other. For why is my liberty judged by another man's conscience? 10:30 But if I partake with thanks, why am I evil spoken of for the food over which I give thanks? 10:31 Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. 10:32 Give no offense, either to the Jews or to the Greeks or to the church of God, 10:33 just as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.
11:1 Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.
