12:1 青春の日々にこそ、お前の創造主に心を留めよ。苦しみの日々が来ないうちに。「年を重ねることに喜びはない」と／言う年齢にならないうちに。 12:2 太陽が闇に変わらないうちに。月や星の光がうせないうちに。雨の後にまた雲が戻って来ないうちに。 12:3 その日には／家を守る男も震え、力ある男も身を屈める。粉ひく女の数は減って行き、失われ／窓から眺める女の目はかすむ。 12:4 通りでは門が閉ざされ、粉ひく音はやむ。鳥の声に起き上がっても、歌の節は低くなる。 12:5 人は高いところを恐れ、道にはおののきがある。アーモンドの花は咲き、いなごは重荷を負い／アビヨナは実をつける。人は永遠の家へ去り、泣き手は町を巡る。 12:6 白銀の糸は断たれ、黄金の鉢は砕ける。泉のほとりに壺は割れ、井戸車は砕けて落ちる。 12:7 塵は元の大地に帰り、霊は与え主である神に帰る。 12:8 なんと空しいことか、とコヘレトは言う。すべては空しい、と。 12:9 コヘレトは知恵を深めるにつれて、より良く民を教え、知識を与えた。多くの格言を吟味し、研究し、編集した。 12:10 コヘレトは望ましい語句を探し求め、真理の言葉を忠実に記録しようとした。 12:11 賢者の言葉はすべて、突き棒や釘。ただひとりの牧者に由来し、収集家が編集した。 12:12 それらよりもなお、わが子よ、心せよ。書物はいくら記してもきりがない。学びすぎれば体が疲れる。 12:13 すべてに耳を傾けて得た結論。「神を畏れ、その戒めを守れ。」これこそ、人間のすべて。 12:14 神は、善をも悪をも／一切の業を、隠れたこともすべて／裁きの座に引き出されるであろう。
12:1 Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth,Before the difficult days come,And the years draw near when you say,"I have no pleasure in them": 12:2 While the sun and the light,The moon and the stars,Are not darkened,And the clouds do not return after the rain; 12:3 In the day when the keepers of the house tremble,And the strong men bow down;When the grinders cease because they are few,And those that look through the windows grow dim; 12:4 When the doors are shut in the streets,And the sound of grinding is low;When one rises up at the sound of a bird,And all the daughters of music are brought low; 12:5 Also they are afraid of height,And of terrors in the way;When the almond tree blossoms,The grasshopper is a burden,And desire fails.For man goes to his eternal home,And the mourners go about the streets. 12:6 Remember your Creator before the silver cord is loosed,Or the golden bowl is broken,Or the pitcher shattered at the fountain,Or the wheel broken at the well. 12:7 Then the dust will return to the earth as it was,And the spirit will return to God who gave it. 12:8 "Vanity of vanities," says the Preacher,"All is vanity." 12:9 And moreover, because the Preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yes, he pondered and sought out and set in order many proverbs. 12:10 The Preacher sought to find acceptable words; and what was written was upright-words of truth. 12:11 The words of the wise are like goads, and the words of scholars are like well-driven nails, given by one Shepherd. 12:12 And further, my son, be admonished by these. Of making many books there is no end, and much study is wearisome to the flesh. 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:Fear God and keep His commandments,For this is man's all. 12:14 For God will bring every work into judgment,Including every secret thing,Whether good or evil.
11:2 あなたがたが、何かにつけわたしを思い出し、わたしがあなたがたに伝えたとおりに、伝えられた教えを守っているのは、立派だと思います。 11:3 ここであなたがたに知っておいてほしいのは、すべての男の頭はキリスト、女の頭は男、そしてキリストの頭は神であるということです。 11:4 男はだれでも祈ったり、預言したりする際に、頭に物をかぶるなら、自分の頭を侮辱することになります。 11:5 女はだれでも祈ったり、預言したりする際に、頭に物をかぶらないなら、その頭を侮辱することになります。それは、髪の毛をそり落としたのと同じだからです。 11:6 女が頭に物をかぶらないなら、髪の毛を切ってしまいなさい。女にとって髪の毛を切ったり、そり落としたりするのが恥ずかしいことなら、頭に物をかぶるべきです。 11:7 男は神の姿と栄光を映す者ですから、頭に物をかぶるべきではありません。しかし、女は男の栄光を映す者です。 11:8 というのは、男が女から出て来たのではなく、女が男から出て来たのだし、 11:9 男が女のために造られたのではなく、女が男のために造られたのだからです。 11:10 だから、女は天使たちのために、頭に力の印をかぶるべきです。 11:11 いずれにせよ、主においては、男なしに女はなく、女なしに男はありません。 11:12 それは女が男から出たように、男も女から生まれ、また、すべてのものが神から出ているからです。 11:13 自分で判断しなさい。女が頭に何もかぶらないで神に祈るのが、ふさわしいかどうか。 11:14 -15男は長い髪が恥であるのに対し、女は長い髪が誉れとなることを、自然そのものがあなたがたに教えていないでしょうか。長い髪は、かぶり物の代わりに女に与えられているのです。 11:16 この点について異論を唱えたい人がいるとしても、そのような習慣は、わたしたちにも神の教会にもありません。
11:2 Now I praise you, brethren, that you remember me in all things and keep the traditions just as I delivered them to you. 11:3 But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God. 11:4 Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonors his head. 11:5 But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head, for that is one and the same as if her head were shaved. 11:6 For if a woman is not covered, let her also be shorn. But if it is shameful for a woman to be shorn or shaved, let her be covered. 11:7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man. 11:8 For man is not from woman, but woman from man. 11:9 Nor was man created for the woman, but woman for the man. 11:10 For this reason the woman ought to have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels. 11:11 Nevertheless, neither is man independent of woman, nor woman independent of man, in the Lord. 11:12 For as woman came from man, even so man also comes through woman; but all things are from God. 11:13 Judge among yourselves. Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered? 11:14 Does not even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him? 11:15 But if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her; for her hair is given to her for a covering. 11:16 But if anyone seems to be contentious, we have no such custom, nor do the churches of God.
