27:1 明日のことを誇るな。一日のうちに何が生まれるか知らないのだから。 27:2 自分の口で自分をほめず、他人にほめてもらえ。自分の唇でではなく、異邦人にほめてもらえ。 27:3 石は重く、砂も目方がかかる。無知な者が不機嫌なのはどちらよりも重い。 27:4 憤りは残忍、怒りは洪水。ねたみの前に誰が耐ええようか。 27:5 あらわな戒めは、隠された愛にまさる。 27:6 愛する人の与える傷は忠実さのしるし／憎む人は数多くの接吻を与える。 27:7 飽き足りている人は蜂の巣の滴りも踏みつける。飢えている人には苦いものも甘い。 27:8 鳥が巣から飛び去るように／人もその置かれたところから移って行く。 27:9 香油も香りも心を楽しませる。友人の優しさは自分の考えにまさる。 27:10 あなたの友人、父の友人を捨てるな。災いの日に、あなたの兄弟の家には行くな。近い隣人は遠い兄弟にまさる。 27:11 わが子よ、知恵を得てわたしの心を楽しませよ。そうすれば／わたしを嘲る者に言葉を返すことができる。 27:12 思慮深い人は災難が来ると見れば身を隠す。浅はかな者は通り抜けようとして痛い目に遭う。 27:13 他国の者を保証する人からは着物を預かれ。他国の女を保証する人からは抵当を取れ。 27:14 友人への祝福も、早朝に大声でするなら／それは呪いと見なされる。 27:15 降りしきる雨の日に滴り続けるしずくと／いさかい好きな妻は似ている。 27:16 彼女を制する者は風をも制する。彼は香油をその右の手の力と呼ぶ。 27:17 鉄は鉄をもって研磨する。人はその友によって研磨される。 27:18 いちじくの番人はいちじくを食べる。主人を守る者は名誉を得る。 27:19 水が顔を映すように、心は人を映す。 27:20 陰府も滅びの国も飽き足りることがない。人間の目も飽き足りることがない。 27:21 銀にはるつぼ、金には炉。人は称賛によって試される。 27:22 無知な者を臼に入れて／穀物と共に杵でついても／無知は彼を去らない。 27:23 あなたの羊の様子をよく知っておけ。群れに心を向けよ。 27:24 財産はとこしえに永らえるものではなく／冠も代々に伝わるものではない。 27:25 草は刈り取られ、また青草が現れ／山々の牧草は集められる。 27:26 羊はあなたの着物となり／雄山羊は畑の代価となる。 27:27 雌山羊の乳はあなたのパン、一家のパンとなり／あなたに仕える少女らを養う。
27:1 Do not boast about tomorrow,For you do not know what a day may bring forth. 27:2 Let another man praise you, and not your own mouth;A stranger, and not your own lips. 27:3 A stone is heavy and sand is weighty,But a fool's wrath is heavier than both of them. 27:4 Wrath is cruel and anger a torrent,But who is able to stand before jealousy? 27:5 Open rebuke is betterThan love carefully concealed. 27:6 Faithful are the wounds of a friend,But the kisses of an enemy are deceitful. 27:7 A satisfied soul loathes the honeycomb,But to a hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet. 27:8 Like a bird that wanders from its nestIs a man who wanders from his place. 27:9 Ointment and perfume delight the heart,And the sweetness of a man's friend gives delight by hearty counsel. 27:10 Do not forsake your own friend or your father's friend,Nor go to your brother's house in the day of your calamity;Better is a neighbor nearby than a brother far away. 27:11 My son, be wise, and make my heart glad,That I may answer him who reproaches me. 27:12 A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself;The simple pass on and are punished. 27:13 Take the garment of him who is surety for a stranger,And hold it in pledge when he is surety for a seductress. 27:14 He who blesses his friend with a loud voice, rising early in the morning,It will be counted a curse to him. 27:15 A continual dripping on a very rainy dayAnd a contentious woman are alike; 27:16 Whoever restrains her restrains the wind,And grasps oil with his right hand. 27:17 As iron sharpens iron,So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend. 27:18 Whoever keeps the fig tree will eat its fruit;So he who waits on his master will be honored. 27:19 As in water face reflects face,So a man's heart reveals the man. 27:20 Hell and Destruction are never full;So the eyes of man are never satisfied. 27:21 The refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold,And a man is valued by what others say of him. 27:22 Though you grind a fool in a mortar with a pestle along with crushed grain,Yet his foolishness will not depart from him. 27:23 Be diligent to know the state of your flocks,And attend to your herds; 27:24 For riches are not forever,Nor does a crown endure to all generations. 27:25 When the hay is removed, and the tender grass shows itself,And the herbs of the mountains are gathered in, 27:26 The lambs will provide your clothing,And the goats the price of a field; 27:27 You shall have enough goats' milk for your food,For the food of your household,And the nourishment of your maidservants.
2:1 兄弟たち、わたしもそちらに行ったとき、神の秘められた計画を宣べ伝えるのに優れた言葉や知恵を用いませんでした。 2:2 なぜなら、わたしはあなたがたの間で、イエス・キリスト、それも十字架につけられたキリスト以外、何も知るまいと心に決めていたからです。 2:3 そちらに行ったとき、わたしは衰弱していて、恐れに取りつかれ、ひどく不安でした。 2:4 わたしの言葉もわたしの宣教も、知恵にあふれた言葉によらず、“霊”と力の証明によるものでした。 2:5 それは、あなたがたが人の知恵によってではなく、神の力によって信じるようになるためでした。
2:6 しかし、わたしたちは、信仰に成熟した人たちの間では知恵を語ります。それはこの世の知恵ではなく、また、この世の滅びゆく支配者たちの知恵でもありません。 2:7 わたしたちが語るのは、隠されていた、神秘としての神の知恵であり、神がわたしたちに栄光を与えるために、世界の始まる前から定めておられたものです。 2:8 この世の支配者たちはだれ一人、この知恵を理解しませんでした。もし理解していたら、栄光の主を十字架につけはしなかったでしょう。 2:9 しかし、このことは、／「目が見もせず、耳が聞きもせず、／人の心に思い浮かびもしなかったことを、／神は御自分を愛する者たちに準備された」と書いてあるとおりです。 2:10 わたしたちには、神が“霊”によってそのことを明らかに示してくださいました。“霊”は一切のことを、神の深みさえも究めます。 2:11 人の内にある霊以外に、いったいだれが、人のことを知るでしょうか。同じように、神の霊以外に神のことを知る者はいません。 2:12 わたしたちは、世の霊ではなく、神からの霊を受けました。それでわたしたちは、神から恵みとして与えられたものを知るようになったのです。 2:13 そして、わたしたちがこれについて語るのも、人の知恵に教えられた言葉によるのではなく、“霊”に教えられた言葉によっています。つまり、霊的なものによって霊的なことを説明するのです。 2:14 自然の人は神の霊に属する事柄を受け入れません。その人にとって、それは愚かなことであり、理解できないのです。霊によって初めて判断できるからです。 2:15 霊の人は一切を判断しますが、その人自身はだれからも判断されたりしません。 2:16 「だれが主の思いを知り、／主を教えるというのか。」しかし、わたしたちはキリストの思いを抱いています。
2:1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. 2:2 For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. 2:3 I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. 2:4 And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 2:5 that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. 2:6 However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, 2:8 which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 2:9 But as it is written:"Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,Nor have entered into the heart of manThe things which God has prepared for those who love Him." 2:10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 2:11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. 2:13 These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 2:14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 2:15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. 2:16 For "who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?" But we have the mind of Christ.
