14:1 まことに、主はヤコブを憐れみ／再びイスラエルを選び／彼らの土地に置いてくださる。寄留の民は彼らに加わり／ヤコブの家に結び付く。 14:2 もろもろの民は、彼らをその土地に連れて来るが、イスラエルの家は、主の土地で、もろもろの民を男女の奴隷にして自分のものとする。かつて、彼らを捕囚とした者が、かえって彼らの捕囚となり、かつて、彼らを虐げた者が彼らに支配される。
14:3 主が、あなたに負わせられた苦痛と悩みと厳しい労役から、あなたを解き放たれる日が来る。 14:4 そのとき、あなたはバビロンの王に対して、この嘲りの歌をうたう。ああ、虐げる者は滅び／その抑圧は終わった。 14:5 主は、逆らう者の杖と／支配者の鞭を折られた。 14:6 かつて、彼らは激怒して諸民族を撃ち／撃って、とどまることを知らなかった。また、怒って諸国民を支配し／仮借なく踏みにじった。 14:7 しかし今、全世界は安らかに憩い／喜びの声を放つ。 14:8 糸杉もレバノン杉も／お前のことで喜ぶ。「ついに、お前が倒れたから／もはや、切り倒す者が／我々に向かって来ることはない。」 14:9 地下では、陰府が騒ぎを起こす／お前が来るのを迎えて。そして、亡霊たちを呼び覚ます／地上では、すべてつわものであった者らを。また、その王座から立ち上がらせる／諸国の王であった者らを皆。 14:10 彼らはこぞってお前を迎え、そして言う。「お前も我々のように無力にされた。お前も我々と同じようになった。」 14:11 お前の高ぶりは、琴の響きと共に／陰府に落ちた。蛆がお前の下に寝床となり／虫がお前を覆う。 14:12 ああ、お前は天から落ちた／明けの明星、曙の子よ。お前は地に投げ落とされた／もろもろの国を倒した者よ。 14:13 かつて、お前は心に思った。「わたしは天に上り／王座を神の星よりも高く据え／神々の集う北の果ての山に座し 14:14 雲の頂に登って／いと高き者のようになろう」と。 14:15 しかし、お前は陰府に落とされた／墓穴の底に。 14:16 お前を見る者は、まじまじと見つめ／お前であることを知って、言う。「これがかつて、地を騒がせ／国々を揺るがせ 14:17 世界を荒れ野とし／その町々を破壊し／捕らわれ人を解き放たず／故郷に帰らせなかった者か。」 14:18 国々の王は皆、それぞれの墓に／礼を尽くして葬られる。 14:19 しかし、お前は墓の外に投げ捨てられる／忌むべきものとされた水子のように。剣で刺された者、殺された者に囲まれ／陰府の底まで下って行く／踏みつけられた死体のように。 14:20 お前は、自分の国を滅ぼし／自分の民を殺したので／彼らと共には葬られない。悪を行う者たちの末は／永遠に、その名を呼ばれることはない。 14:21 彼らの先祖の咎のゆえに／その子孫のために、屠り場を備えよ。再び、彼らが立ち上がって、世界を奪い／地の表を町々で満たすことがないように。 14:22 「わたしは、彼らに立ち向かう」と／万軍の主は言われる。「バビロンから、その名も、名残も／子孫も末裔も、すべて断ち滅ぼす」と／主は言われる。 14:23 また、「都を山あらしの住みか、沼地とし／滅びの箒で、掃き清める」と／万軍の主は言われる。
14:24 万軍の主は誓って言われる。「わたしが計ることは必ず成り／わたしが定めることは必ず実現する。 14:25 わたしの領土で、アッシリアを滅ぼし／わたしの山々で彼らを踏みにじる。その軛は、わが民から取り去られ／その重荷は、肩からはずされる。」 14:26 これこそ、全世界に対して定められた計画／すべての国に伸ばされた御手の業である。 14:27 万軍の主が定められれば／誰がそれをとどめえよう。その御手が伸ばされれば／誰が引き戻しえよう。
14:28 アハズ王の死んだ年のことである。この託宣が臨んだ。 14:29 「ペリシテの民よ、だれも喜んではならない／お前を打った鞭が折られたからといって。蛇の根から蝮が出る。その子は炎のように飛び回る。」 14:30 乏しい者も、糧を得／貧しい者も、安らかに伏す。「わたしは、飢えによってお前の根を断ち／お前の残りの者を殺す。 14:31 門よ、泣き叫べ、町よ、助けを求めよ／ペリシテの民は、皆、おののけ／北から、砂煙を上げて来る者があるからだ。その隊列から落伍する者はひとりもない。」 14:32 異国の使者たちに、何と答えるべきか。「シオンの基を据えられたのは主である。苦しむ民は、そこに身を寄せる」と答えよ。
14:1 For the Lord will have mercy on Jacob, and will still choose Israel, and settle them in their own land. The strangers will be joined with them, and they will cling to the house of Jacob. 14:2 Then people will take them and bring them to their place, and the house of Israel will possess them for servants and maids in the land of the Lord; they will take them captive whose captives they were, and rule over their oppressors. 14:3 It shall come to pass in the day the Lord gives you rest from your sorrow, and from your fear and the hard bondage in which you were made to serve, 14:4 that you will take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say:"How the oppressor has ceased,The golden city ceased! 14:5 The Lord has broken the staff of the wicked,The scepter of the rulers; 14:6 He who struck the people in wrath with a continual stroke,He who ruled the nations in anger,Is persecuted and no one hinders. 14:7 The whole earth is at rest and quiet;They break forth into singing. 14:8 Indeed the cypress trees rejoice over you,And the cedars of Lebanon,Saying, 'Since you were cut down,No woodsman has come up against us.' 14:9 "Hell from beneath is excited about you,To meet you at your coming;It stirs up the dead for you,All the chief ones of the earth;It has raised up from their thronesAll the kings of the nations. 14:10 They all shall speak and say to you:'Have you also become as weak as we?Have you become like us? 14:11 Your pomp is brought down to Sheol,And the sound of your stringed instruments;The maggot is spread under you,And worms cover you.' 14:12 "How you are fallen from heaven,O Lucifer, son of the morning!How you are cut down to the ground,You who weakened the nations! 14:13 For you have said in your heart:'I will ascend into heaven,I will exalt my throne above the stars of God;I will also sit on the mount of the congregationOn the farthest sides of the north; 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds,I will be like the Most High.' 14:15 Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol,To the lowest depths of the Pit. 14:16 "Those who see you will gaze at you,And consider you, saying:'Is this the man who made the earth tremble,Who shook kingdoms, 14:17 Who made the world as a wildernessAnd destroyed its cities,Who did not open the house of his prisoners?' 14:18 "All the kings of the nations,All of them, sleep in glory,Everyone in his own house; 14:19 But you are cast out of your graveLike an abominable branch,Like the garment of those who are slain,Thrust through with a sword,Who go down to the stones of the pit,Like a corpse trodden underfoot. 14:20 You will not be joined with them in burial,Because you have destroyed your landAnd slain your people.The brood of evildoers shall never be named. 14:21 Prepare slaughter for his childrenBecause of the iniquity of their fathers,Lest they rise up and possess the land,And fill the face of the world with cities." 14:22 "For I will rise up against them," says the Lord of hosts,"And cut off from Babylon the name and remnant,And offspring and posterity," says the Lord. 14:23 "I will also make it a possession for the porcupine,And marshes of muddy water;I will sweep it with the broom of destruction," says the Lord of hosts. 14:24 The Lord of hosts has sworn, saying,"Surely, as I have thought, so it shall come to pass,And as I have purposed, so it shall stand: 14:25 That I will break the Assyrian in My land,And on My mountains tread him underfoot.Then his yoke shall be removed from them,And his burden removed from their shoulders. 14:26 This is the purpose that is purposed against the whole earth,And this is the hand that is stretched out over all the nations. 14:27 For the Lord of hosts has purposed,And who will annul it?His hand is stretched out,And who will turn it back?" 14:28 This is the burden which came in the year that King Ahaz died. 14:29 "Do not rejoice, all you of Philistia,Because the rod that struck you is broken;For out of the serpent's roots will come forth a viper,And its offspring will be a fiery flying serpent. 14:30 The firstborn of the poor will feed,And the needy will lie down in safety;I will kill your roots with famine,And it will slay your remnant. 14:31 Wail, O gate! Cry, O city!All you of Philistia are dissolved;For smoke will come from the north,And no one will be alone in his appointed times." 14:32 What will they answer the messengers of the nation?That the Lord has founded Zion,And the poor of His people shall take refuge in it.
4:13 「わたしは信じた。それで、わたしは語った」と書いてあるとおり、それと同じ信仰の霊を持っているので、わたしたちも信じ、それだからこそ語ってもいます。 4:14 主イエスを復活させた神が、イエスと共にわたしたちをも復活させ、あなたがたと一緒に御前に立たせてくださると、わたしたちは知っています。 4:15 すべてこれらのことは、あなたがたのためであり、多くの人々が豊かに恵みを受け、感謝の念に満ちて神に栄光を帰すようになるためです。
4:16 だから、わたしたちは落胆しません。たとえわたしたちの「外なる人」は衰えていくとしても、わたしたちの「内なる人」は日々新たにされていきます。 4:17 わたしたちの一時の軽い艱難は、比べものにならないほど重みのある永遠の栄光をもたらしてくれます。 4:18 わたしたちは見えるものではなく、見えないものに目を注ぎます。見えるものは過ぎ去りますが、見えないものは永遠に存続するからです。
4:13 And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, "I believed and therefore I spoke," we also believe and therefore speak, 4:14 knowing that He who raised up the Lord Jesus will also raise us up with Jesus, and will present us with you. 4:15 For all things are for your sakes, that grace, having spread through the many, may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God. 4:16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. 4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, 4:18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
