39:1 そのころ、バビロンの王、バルアダンの子メロダク・バルアダンがヒゼキヤに手紙と贈り物を送って来た。病気であった彼が健康を回復したことを聞いたからである。 39:2 ヒゼキヤは使者たちを歓迎し、銀、金、香料、上等の油など宝物庫と、武器庫、倉庫にある一切の物を彼らに見せた。ヒゼキヤが彼らに見せなかったものは、宮中はもとより国中にひとつもなかった。 39:3 預言者イザヤはヒゼキヤ王のところに来て、「あの人々は何を言ったのですか。どこから訪ねて来たのですか」と問うた。ヒゼキヤは、「彼らは遠い国、バビロンから来ました」と答えた。 39:4 更に、「彼らは王宮で何を見たのですか」と問うと、ヒゼキヤは、「王宮にあるものは何もかも見ました。倉庫の中のものも見せなかったものは何一つありません」と答えた。 39:5 そこでイザヤはヒゼキヤに言った。「万軍の主の言葉を聞きなさい。 39:6 王宮にあるもの、あなたの先祖が今日まで蓄えてきたものが、ことごとくバビロンに運び去られ、何も残らなくなる日が来る、と主は言われる。 39:7 あなたから生まれた息子の中には、バビロン王の宮殿に連れて行かれ、宦官にされる者もある。」 39:8 ヒゼキヤはイザヤに、「あなたの告げる主の言葉はありがたいものです」と答えた。彼は、自分の在世中は平和と安定が続くと思っていた。
39:1 At that time Merodach-Baladan the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present to Hezekiah, for he heard that he had been sick and had recovered. 39:2 And Hezekiah was pleased with them, and showed them the house of his treasures-the silver and gold, the spices and precious ointment, and all his armory-all that was found among his treasures. There was nothing in his house or in all his dominion that Hezekiah did not show them. 39:3 Then Isaiah the prophet went to King Hezekiah, and said to him, "What did these men say, and from where did they come to you?" So Hezekiah said, "They came to me from a far country, from Babylon." 39:4 And he said, "What have they seen in your house?" So Hezekiah answered, "They have seen all that is in my house; there is nothing among my treasures that I have not shown them." 39:5 Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, "Hear the word of the Lord of hosts: 39:6 'Behold, the days are coming when all that is in your house, and what your fathers have accumulated until this day, shall be carried to Babylon; nothing shall be left,' says the Lord. 39:7 'And they shall take away some of your sons who will descend from you, whom you will beget; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.' " 39:8 So Hezekiah said to Isaiah, "The word of the Lord which you have spoken is good!" For he said, "At least there will be peace and truth in my days."
3:23 信仰が現れる前には、わたしたちは律法の下で監視され、この信仰が啓示されるようになるまで閉じ込められていました。 3:24 こうして律法は、わたしたちをキリストのもとへ導く養育係となったのです。わたしたちが信仰によって義とされるためです。 3:25 しかし、信仰が現れたので、もはや、わたしたちはこのような養育係の下にはいません。 3:26 あなたがたは皆、信仰により、キリスト・イエスに結ばれて神の子なのです。 3:27 洗礼を受けてキリストに結ばれたあなたがたは皆、キリストを着ているからです。 3:28 そこではもはや、ユダヤ人もギリシア人もなく、奴隷も自由な身分の者もなく、男も女もありません。あなたがたは皆、キリスト・イエスにおいて一つだからです。 3:29 あなたがたは、もしキリストのものだとするなら、とりもなおさず、アブラハムの子孫であり、約束による相続人です。
4:1 つまり、こういうことです。相続人は、未成年である間は、全財産の所有者であっても僕と何ら変わるところがなく、 4:2 父親が定めた期日までは後見人や管理人の監督の下にいます。 4:3 同様にわたしたちも、未成年であったときは、世を支配する諸霊に奴隷として仕えていました。 4:4 しかし、時が満ちると、神は、その御子を女から、しかも律法の下に生まれた者としてお遣わしになりました。 4:5 それは、律法の支配下にある者を贖い出して、わたしたちを神の子となさるためでした。 4:6 あなたがたが子であることは、神が、「アッバ、父よ」と叫ぶ御子の霊を、わたしたちの心に送ってくださった事実から分かります。 4:7 ですから、あなたはもはや奴隷ではなく、子です。子であれば、神によって立てられた相続人でもあるのです。
3:23 But before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed. 3:24 Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 3:25 But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. 3:26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 3:27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 3:29 And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
4:1 Now I say that the heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a slave, though he is master of all, 4:2 but is under guardians and stewards until the time appointed by the father. 4:3 Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world. 4:4 But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 4:5 to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. 4:6 And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, "Abba, Father!" 4:7 Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
