33:1 主の言葉が再びエレミヤに臨んだ。このとき彼は、まだ獄舎に拘留されていた。 33:2 主はこう言われる。創造者、主、すべてを形づくり、確かにされる方。その御名は主。 33:3 「わたしを呼べ。わたしはあなたに答え、あなたの知らない隠された大いなることを告げ知らせる。 33:4 攻城の土塁が築かれた後、剣を帯びた敵の侵入を防ぐために、破壊されたこの都の家屋とユダの王の宮殿について、イスラエルの神、主はこう言われる。 33:5 彼らはカルデア人と戦うが、都は死体に溢れるであろう。わたしが怒りと憤りをもって彼らを打ち殺し、そのあらゆる悪行のゆえに、この都から顔を背けたからだ。 33:6 しかし、見よ、わたしはこの都に、いやしと治癒と回復とをもたらし、彼らをいやしてまことの平和を豊かに示す。 33:7 そして、ユダとイスラエルの繁栄を回復し、彼らを初めのときのように建て直す。 33:8 わたしに対して犯したすべての罪から彼らを清め、犯した罪と反逆のすべてを赦す。 33:9 わたしがこの都に与える大いなる恵みについて世界のすべての国々が聞くとき、この都はわたしに喜ばしい名声、賛美の歌、輝きをもたらすものとなる。彼らは、わたしがこの都に与える大いなる恵みと平和とを見て、恐れおののくであろう。 33:10 主はこう言われる。この場所に、すなわちお前たちが、ここは廃虚で人も住まず、獣もいないと言っているこのユダの町々とエルサレムの広場に、再び声が聞こえるようになる。そこは荒れ果てて、今は人も、住民も、獣もいない。 33:11 しかし、やがて喜び祝う声、花婿と花嫁の声、感謝の供え物を主の神殿に携えて来る者が、『万軍の主をほめたたえよ。主は恵み深く、その慈しみはとこしえに』と歌う声が聞こえるようになる。それはわたしが、この国の繁栄を初めのときのように回復するからである。 33:12 万軍の主はこう言われる。人も住まず、獣もいない荒れ果てたこの場所で、またすべての町々で、再び羊飼いが牧場を持ち、羊の群れを憩わせるようになる。 33:13 山あいの町々、シェフェラの町々、ネゲブの町々、ベニヤミン族の所領、エルサレムの周辺、ユダの町々で、再び、羊飼いが、群れをなして戻って来る羊を数えるようになる。 33:14 見よ、わたしが、イスラエルの家とユダの家に恵みの約束を果たす日が来る、と主は言われる。 33:15 その日、その時、わたしはダビデのために正義の若枝を生え出でさせる。彼は公平と正義をもってこの国を治める。 33:16 その日には、ユダは救われ、エルサレムは安らかに人の住まう都となる。その名は、『主は我らの救い』と呼ばれるであろう。 33:17 主はこう言われる。ダビデのためにイスラエルの家の王座につく者は、絶えることがない。 33:18 レビ人である祭司のためにも、わたしの前に動物や穀物を供えて焼き、いけにえをささげる者はいつまでも絶えることがない。」 33:19 主の言葉がエレミヤに臨んだ。 33:20 「主はこう言われる。わたしが昼と結んだ契約、夜と結んだ契約を、お前たちが破棄して、昼と夜とがその時に従って巡るのを妨げることができないように、 33:21 わたしが、わが僕ダビデと結んだ契約が破棄され、ダビデの王位を継ぐ嫡子がなくなり、また、わたしに仕えるレビ人である祭司との契約が破棄されることもない。 33:22 わたしは数えきれない満天の星のように、量り知れない海の砂のように、わが僕ダビデの子孫と、わたしに仕えるレビ人の数を増やす。」 33:23 主の言葉がエレミヤに臨んだ。 33:24 「この民は、『主は御自分が選んだ二つの氏族を見放された』と言って、わが民をもはや一国と呼ぶに値しないかのように、軽んじているのをあなたは知らないのか。 33:25 主はこう言われる。もし、わたしが昼と夜と結んだ契約が存在せず、また、わたしが天と地の定めを確立しなかったのなら、 33:26 わたしはヤコブとわが僕ダビデの子孫を退け、アブラハム、イサク、ヤコブの子孫を治める者を選ぶことをやめるであろう。しかしわたしは、彼らの繁栄を回復し、彼らを憐れむ。」
33:1 Moreover the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah a second time, while he was still shut up in the court of the prison, saying, 33:2 "Thus says the Lord who made it, the Lord who formed it to establish it (the Lord is His name): 33:3 'Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.' 33:4 "For thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city and the houses of the kings of Judah, which have been pulled down to fortify against the siege mounds and the sword: 33:5 'They come to fight with the Chaldeans, but only to fill their places with the dead bodies of men whom I will slay in My anger and My fury, all for whose wickedness I have hidden My face from this city. 33:6 'Behold, I will bring it health and healing; I will heal them and reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth. 33:7 'And I will cause the captives of Judah and the captives of Israel to return, and will rebuild those places as at the first. 33:8 'I will cleanse them from all their iniquity by which they have sinned against Me, and I will pardon all their iniquities by which they have sinned and by which they have transgressed against Me. 33:9 'Then it shall be to Me a name of joy, a praise, and an honor before all nations of the earth, who shall hear all the good that I do to them; they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and all the prosperity that I provide for it.' 33:10 "Thus says the Lord: 'Again there shall be heard in this place-of which you say, "It is desolate, without man and without beast"-in the cities of Judah, in the streets of Jerusalem that are desolate, without man and without inhabitant and without beast, 33:11 'the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who will say:"Praise the Lord of hosts,For the Lord is good,For His mercy endures forever"-and of those who will bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the Lord. For I will cause the captives of the land to return as at the first,' says the Lord. 33:12 "Thus says the Lord of hosts: 'In this place which is desolate, without man and without beast, and in all its cities, there shall again be a dwelling place of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down. 33:13 'In the cities of the mountains, in the cities of the lowland, in the cities of the South, in the land of Benjamin, in the places around Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, the flocks shall again pass under the hands of him who counts them,' says the Lord. 33:14 'Behold, the days are coming,' says the Lord, 'that I will perform that good thing which I have promised to the house of Israel and to the house of Judah: 33:15 'In those days and at that timeI will cause to grow up to DavidA Branch of righteousness;He shall execute judgment and righteousness in the earth. 33:16 In those days Judah will be saved,And Jerusalem will dwell safely.And this is the name by which she will be called:THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.' 33:17 "For thus says the Lord: 'David shall never lack a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel; 33:18 'nor shall the priests, the Levites, lack a man to offer burnt offerings before Me, to kindle grain offerings, and to sacrifice continually.' " 33:19 And the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying, 33:20 "Thus says the Lord: 'If you can break My covenant with the day and My covenant with the night, so that there will not be day and night in their season, 33:21 'then My covenant may also be broken with David My servant, so that he shall not have a son to reign on his throne, and with the Levites, the priests, My ministers. 33:22 'As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, nor the sand of the sea measured, so will I multiply the descendants of David My servant and the Levites who minister to Me.' " 33:23 Moreover the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying, 33:24 "Have you not considered what these people have spoken, saying, 'The two families which the Lord has chosen, He has also cast them off'? Thus they have despised My people, as if they should no more be a nation before them. 33:25 "Thus says the Lord: 'If My covenant is not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth, 33:26 'then I will cast away the descendants of Jacob and David My servant, so that I will not take any of his descendants to be rulers over the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. For I will cause their captives to return, and will have mercy on them.' "
5:9 やもめとして登録するのは、六十歳未満の者ではなく、一人の夫の妻であった人、 5:10 善い行いで評判の良い人でなければなりません。子供を育て上げたとか、旅人を親切にもてなしたとか、聖なる者たちの足を洗ったとか、苦しんでいる人々を助けたとか、あらゆる善い業に励んだ者でなければなりません。 5:11 年若いやもめは登録してはなりません。というのは、彼女たちは、情欲にかられてキリストから離れると、結婚したがるようになり、 5:12 前にした約束を破ったという非難を受けることになるからです。 5:13 その上、彼女たちは家から家へと回り歩くうちに怠け癖がつき、更に、ただ怠けるだけでなく、おしゃべりで詮索好きになり、話してはならないことまで話しだします。 5:14 だから、わたしが望むのは、若いやもめは再婚し、子供を産み、家事を取りしきり、反対者に悪口の機会を一切与えないことです。 5:15 既に道を踏み外し、サタンについて行ったやもめもいるからです。 5:16 信者の婦人で身内にやもめがいれば、その世話をすべきであり、教会に負担をかけてはなりません。そうすれば教会は身寄りのないやもめの世話をすることができます。
5:9 Do not let a widow under sixty years old be taken into the number, and not unless she has been the wife of one man, 5:10 well reported for good works: if she has brought up children, if she has lodged strangers, if she has washed the saints' feet, if she has relieved the afflicted, if she has diligently followed every good work. 5:11 But refuse the younger widows; for when they have begun to grow wanton against Christ, they desire to marry, 5:12 having condemnation because they have cast off their first faith. 5:13 And besides they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house, and not only idle but also gossips and busybodies, saying things which they ought not. 5:14 Therefore I desire that the younger widows marry, bear children, manage the house, give no opportunity to the adversary to speak reproachfully. 5:15 For some have already turned aside after Satan. 5:16 If any believing man or woman has widows, let them relieve them, and do not let the church be burdened, that it may relieve those who are really widows.
