26:1 第十一年、その月の第一日に、主の言葉がわたしに臨んだ。 26:2 「人の子よ、ティルスがエルサレムを嘲る。『ああ、諸国民の門であったお前は打ち破られ、わたしのものになった。わたしは富み、お前は廃れる。』 26:3 それゆえ、主なる神はこう言われる。ティルスよ、わたしがお前に立ち向かう。わたしは、海が波を巻き起こすように／多くの国々をお前に立ち向かわせる。 26:4 彼らはティルスの城壁を倒し、塔を破壊する。わたしはその土くれまでぬぐい去り／ティルスを裸の岩にする。 26:5 ティルスは海の中にある網干し場となる。これはわたし自身が語ったことだと／主なる神は言われる。ティルスは諸国民に略奪され 26:6 陸にある周囲の町々も剣で滅ぼされる。そのとき彼らは／わたしが主であることを知るようになる。 26:7 主なる神はこう言われる。わたしは、王の王であるバビロンの王、ネブカドレツァルを北からティルスに来させる。彼は馬と戦車と騎兵と多くの軍勢を引き連れてくる。 26:8 彼は陸にある周囲の町々を剣で滅ぼし／お前に向かって堡塁を築き／塁を積み、大盾を立てる。 26:9 彼は破城槌で城壁を突き崩し／鉄の棒で塔を打ち壊す。 26:10 軍馬が怒濤のように襲い／土煙がお前を覆う。打ち破られた町に敵が突入するように／彼らがお前の城門に攻め入るとき／騎兵と戦車の車輪の音で城壁は揺れ動く。 26:11 軍馬のひづめで、町並みはすべて踏みにじられ／民は剣で殺され、巨大な柱は地に倒れる。 26:12 彼らは財宝を奪い、商品を略奪し／城壁を破壊し、華やかな宮殿を壊し／石や木や土くれまで海に投げ込む。 26:13 わたしはお前の騒がしい歌声をやめさせ／竪琴の音が再び聞かれることはない。 26:14 わたしはお前を裸の岩にする。お前は網干し場となり／再び建て直されることはない。これは主なるわたしが語ったことだと／主なる神は言われる。 26:15 主なる神は、ティルスに向かってこう言われる。お前の中で、倒れた者が呻き、虐殺が行われるとき、町の倒れ落ちる響きで、島々は揺れ動かないだろうか。 26:16 海の支配者たちは、皆その座から降り、礼服を取り去り、美しく織った衣服を脱ぐ。彼らは恐怖を身にまとい、地に座り、絶え間なく震えながらお前を見て驚きあきれる。 26:17 彼らはお前に向かって嘆きの歌をうたって言う。ああ、あなたは滅びてしまった。海のかなたから来て住み着き／誉れある町となったのに。この町とそこに住む民は海のつわものとなり／海に住むすべての者を震え上がらせたのに。 26:18 今や、その島々はあなたの倒れた日におののき／海の島々は、あなたの終わりを見て恐れる。 26:19 まことに、主なる神はこう言われる。わたしは、お前を住む者のない町のように荒れ果てた町とし、淵から水を湧き上がらせ、大水で覆う。 26:20 こうしてわたしは、穴に下る者たちと共に、お前をいにしえの民の中に落とす。また、お前を穴に下る者たちと共に、永遠の昔からの廃虚のような深い地に住まわせ、お前が生ける者の地で栄誉をもって住むことができないようにする。 26:21 わたしはお前を恐怖に落とす。それゆえ、お前は無に帰する。人が探し求めても、お前は永久に見いだされることはない」と主なる神は言われる。
26:1 And it came to pass in the eleventh year, on the first day of the month, that the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 26:2 "Son of man, because Tyre has said against Jerusalem, 'Aha! She is broken who was the gateway of the peoples; now she is turned over to me; I shall be filled; she is laid waste.' 26:3 "Therefore thus says the Lord God: 'Behold, I am against you, O Tyre, and will cause many nations to come up against you, as the sea causes its waves to come up. 26:4 'And they shall destroy the walls of Tyre and break down her towers; I will also scrape her dust from her, and make her like the top of a rock. 26:5 'It shall be a place for spreading nets in the midst of the sea, for I have spoken,' says the Lord God; 'it shall become plunder for the nations. 26:6 'Also her daughter villages which are in the fields shall be slain by the sword. Then they shall know that I am the Lord.' 26:7 "For thus says the Lord God: 'Behold, I will bring against Tyre from the north Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, king of kings, with horses, with chariots, and with horsemen, and an army with many people. 26:8 'He will slay with the sword your daughter villages in the fields; he will heap up a siege mound against you, build a wall against you, and raise a defense against you. 26:9 'He will direct his battering rams against your walls, and with his axes he will break down your towers. 26:10 'Because of the abundance of his horses, their dust will cover you; your walls will shake at the noise of the horsemen, the wagons, and the chariots, when he enters your gates, as men enter a city that has been breached. 26:11 'With the hooves of his horses he will trample all your streets; he will slay your people by the sword, and your strong pillars will fall to the ground. 26:12 'They will plunder your riches and pillage your merchandise; they will break down your walls and destroy your pleasant houses; they will lay your stones, your timber, and your soil in the midst of the water. 26:13 'I will put an end to the sound of your songs, and the sound of your harps shall be heard no more. 26:14 'I will make you like the top of a rock; you shall be a place for spreading nets, and you shall never be rebuilt, for I the Lord have spoken,' says the Lord God. 26:15 "Thus says the Lord God to Tyre: 'Will the coastlands not shake at the sound of your fall, when the wounded cry, when slaughter is made in the midst of you? 26:16 'Then all the princes of the sea will come down from their thrones, lay aside their robes, and take off their embroidered garments; they will clothe themselves with trembling; they will sit on the ground, tremble every moment, and be astonished at you. 26:17 'And they will take up a lamentation for you, and say to you:"How you have perished,O one inhabited by seafaring men,O renowned city,Who was strong at sea,She and her inhabitants,Who caused their terror to be on all her inhabitants! 26:18 Now the coastlands tremble on the day of your fall;Yes, the coastlands by the sea are troubled at your departure." ' 26:19 "For thus says the Lord God: 'When I make you a desolate city, like cities that are not inhabited, when I bring the deep upon you, and great waters cover you, 26:20 'then I will bring you down with those who descend into the Pit, to the people of old, and I will make you dwell in the lowest part of the earth, in places desolate from antiquity, with those who go down to the Pit, so that you may never be inhabited; and I shall establish glory in the land of the living. 26:21 'I will make you a terror, and you shall be no more; though you are sought for, you will never be found again,' says the Lord God."
11:29 信仰によって、人々はまるで陸地を通るように紅海を渡りました。同じように渡ろうとしたエジプト人たちは、おぼれて死にました。 11:30 信仰によって、エリコの城壁は、人々が周りを七日間回った後、崩れ落ちました。 11:31 信仰によって、娼婦ラハブは、様子を探りに来た者たちを穏やかに迎え入れたために、不従順な者たちと一緒に殺されなくて済みました。 11:32 これ以上、何を話そう。もしギデオン、バラク、サムソン、エフタ、ダビデ、サムエル、また預言者たちのことを語るなら、時間が足りないでしょう。 11:33 信仰によって、この人たちは国々を征服し、正義を行い、約束されたものを手に入れ、獅子の口をふさぎ、 11:34 燃え盛る火を消し、剣の刃を逃れ、弱かったのに強い者とされ、戦いの勇者となり、敵軍を敗走させました。 11:35 女たちは、死んだ身内を生き返らせてもらいました。他の人たちは、更にまさったよみがえりに達するために、釈放を拒み、拷問にかけられました。 11:36 また、他の人たちはあざけられ、鞭打たれ、鎖につながれ、投獄されるという目に遭いました。 11:37 彼らは石で打ち殺され、のこぎりで引かれ、剣で切り殺され、羊の皮や山羊の皮を着て放浪し、暮らしに事欠き、苦しめられ、虐待され、 11:38 荒れ野、山、岩穴、地の割れ目をさまよい歩きました。世は彼らにふさわしくなかったのです。 11:39 ところで、この人たちはすべて、その信仰のゆえに神に認められながらも、約束されたものを手に入れませんでした。 11:40 神は、わたしたちのために、更にまさったものを計画してくださったので、わたしたちを除いては、彼らは完全な状態に達しなかったのです。
11:29 By faith they passed through the Red Sea as by dry land, whereas the Egyptians, attempting to do so, were drowned. 11:30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they were encircled for seven days. 11:31 By faith the harlot Rahab did not perish with those who did not believe, when she had received the spies with peace. 11:32 And what more shall I say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah, also of David and Samuel and the prophets: 11:33 who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 11:34 quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. 11:35 Women received their dead raised to life again. And others were tortured, not accepting deliverance, that they might obtain a better resurrection. 11:36 Still others had trial of mockings and scourgings, yes, and of chains and imprisonment. 11:37 They were stoned, they were sawn in two, were tempted, were slain with the sword. They wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, tormented- 11:38 of whom the world was not worthy. They wandered in deserts and mountains, in dens and caves of the earth. 11:39 And all these, having obtained a good testimony through faith, did not receive the promise, 11:40 God having provided something better for us, that they should not be made perfect apart from us.
