5:2 ソロモンの得た食糧は、日に上等の小麦粉三十コル、小麦粉六十コル、 5:3 肥えた牛十頭、牧場で飼育した牛二十頭、羊百匹であり、その他、鹿、かもしか、子鹿、肥えた家禽もあった。 5:4 ソロモンはティフサからガザに至るユーフラテス西方の全域とユーフラテス西方の王侯をすべて支配下に置き、国境はどこを見回しても平和であった。 5:5 ソロモンの在世中、ユダとイスラエルの人々は、ダンからベエル・シェバに至るまで、どこでもそれぞれ自分のぶどうの木の下、いちじくの木の下で安らかに暮らした。 5:6 ソロモンは戦車用の馬の厩舎四万と騎兵一万二千を持っていた。 5:7 知事たちは、ソロモン王とソロモン王の食卓に連なるすべての人々のために、それぞれ一か月分の食糧を調達し、何の不足もないようにした。 5:8 彼らは、馬と早馬のための大麦とわらも、それぞれその割り当てに従って所定の場所に納めた。 5:9 神はソロモンに非常に豊かな知恵と洞察力と海辺の砂浜のような広い心をお授けになった。 5:10 ソロモンの知恵は東方のどの人の知恵にも、エジプトのいかなる知恵にもまさった。 5:11 彼はエズラ人エタン、マホルの子らであるヘマン、カルコル、ダルダをしのぐ、最も知恵ある者であり、その名は周りのすべての国々に知れ渡った。 5:12 彼の語った格言は三千、歌は千五首に達した。 5:13 彼が樹木について論じれば、レバノン杉から石垣に生えるヒソプにまで及んだ。彼はまた、獣類、鳥類、爬虫類、魚類についても論じた。 5:14 あらゆる国の民が、ソロモンの知恵をうわさに聞いた全世界の王侯のもとから送られて来て、その知恵に耳を傾けた。
5:15 さて、ティルスの王ヒラムは、ソロモンが油を注がれ、父に代わって王となったことを聞き、家臣を遣わしてきた。ヒラムは常にダビデと友好関係にあったからである。 5:16 ソロモンも使節をヒラムのもとに遣わして、こう言わせた。 5:17 「ご存じのとおり、父ダビデは、主が周囲の敵を彼の足の下に置かれるまで戦いに明け暮れ、その神なる主の御名のために神殿を建てることができませんでした。 5:18 今や、わたしの神、主は周囲の者たちからわたしを守って、安らぎを与えてくださり、敵対する者も、災いをもたらす者もいません。 5:19 ここに至ってわたしは、わたしの神、主の御名のために神殿を建てようと考えています。主が父ダビデに、『わたしがあなたに代えて王座につかせるあなたの子が、わたしの名のために家を建てる』と言われたからです。 5:20 それゆえ、わたしたちのためにレバノンから杉を切り出すよう、お命じください。わたしの家臣たちもあなたの家臣たちと共に働かせます。あなたの家臣たちへは、仰せのとおりの賃金をわたしが支払います。ご存じのように、当方にはシドンの人のような伐採の熟練者がいないからです。」 5:21 ヒラムはソロモンの言葉を聞いて大いに喜び、「今日こそ、主はたたえられますように。主は、この大いなる民を治める聡明な子をダビデにお与えになった」と言った。 5:22 ヒラムは使節を遣わして、こう言わせた。「御用件は確かに承りました。レバノン杉のみならず糸杉の木材についても、お望みどおりにいたしましょう。 5:23 わたしの家臣たちにこれをレバノンから海まで運ばせ、わたしはそれをいかだに組んで、海路あなたの指定する場所に届け、そこでいかだを解きますから、お受け取りください。あなたには、わたしの家のための食糧を提供してくださるよう望みます。」 5:24 こうしてヒラムはソロモンの望みどおりレバノン杉と糸杉の木材を提供し、 5:25 ソロモンはヒラムにその家のための食糧として、小麦二万コルと純粋のオリーブ油二十コルを提供した。ソロモンは同様のものを毎年ヒラムに提供した。 5:26 主はその約束のとおり、ソロモンに知恵を授けられた。ヒラムとソロモンの間には平和が保たれ、二人は条約を結んだ。 5:27 ソロモン王はイスラエル全国に労役を課した。そのために徴用された男子は三万人であった。 5:28 王は彼らを一万人ずつ一か月交替でレバノンに送った。すなわち、一か月はレバノンに、二か月は自分の家にとどまるようにした。この労役の監督はアドニラムであった。 5:29 またソロモンには、荷役の労働者が七万人、山で石を切り出す労働者が八万人いた。 5:30 そのほか、ソロモンには工事の責任を取る監督が三千三百人いて、工事に携わる民を指揮した。 5:31 神殿の土台の切り石とするため、大きな質の良い石を切り出すように、と王に命じられ、 5:32 ソロモンの石工たちは、ヒラムの石工たちやゲバル人と共同で石を切り出した。こうして、神殿建築用の木材も石材も整った。
4:1 So King Solomon was king over all Israel. 4:2 And these were his officials: Azariah the son of Zadok, the priest; 4:3 Elihoreph and Ahijah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder; 4:4 Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, over the army; Zadok and Abiathar, the priests; 4:5 Azariah the son of Nathan, over the officers; Zabud the son of Nathan, a priest and the king's friend; 4:6 Ahishar, over the household; and Adoniram the son of Abda, over the labor force. 4:7 And Solomon had twelve governors over all Israel, who provided food for the king and his household; each one made provision for one month of the year. 4:8 These are their names: Ben-Hur, in the mountains of Ephraim; 4:9 Ben-Deker, in Makaz, Shaalbim, Beth Shemesh, and Elon Beth Hanan; 4:10 Ben-Hesed, in Arubboth; to him belonged Sochoh and all the land of Hepher; 4:11 Ben-Abinadab, in all the regions of Dor; he had Taphath the daughter of Solomon as wife; 4:12 Baana the son of Ahilud, in Taanach, Megiddo, and all Beth Shean, which is beside Zaretan below Jezreel, from Beth Shean to Abel Meholah, as far as the other side of Jokneam; 4:13 Ben-Geber, in Ramoth Gilead; to him belonged the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, in Gilead; to him also belonged the region of Argob in Bashan-sixty large cities with walls and bronze gate-bars; 4:14 Ahinadab the son of Iddo, in Mahanaim; 4:15 Ahimaaz, in Naphtali; he also took Basemath the daughter of Solomon as wife; 4:16 Baanah the son of Hushai, in Asher and Aloth; 4:17 Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar; 4:18 Shimei the son of Elah, in Benjamin; 4:19 Geber the son of Uri, in the land of Gilead, in the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan. He was the only governor who was in the land. 4:20 Judah and Israel were as numerous as the sand by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking and rejoicing. 4:21 So Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the River to the land of the Philistines, as far as the border of Egypt. They brought tribute and served Solomon all the days of his life. 4:22 Now Solomon's provision for one day was thirty kors of fine flour, sixty kors of meal, 4:23 ten fatted oxen, twenty oxen from the pastures, and one hundred sheep, besides deer, gazelles, roebucks, and fatted fowl. 4:24 For he had dominion over all the region on this side of the River from Tiphsah even to Gaza, namely over all the kings on this side of the River; and he had peace on every side all around him. 4:25 And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, each man under his vine and his fig tree, from Dan as far as Beersheba, all the days of Solomon. 4:26 Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen. 4:27 And these governors, each man in his month, provided food for King Solomon and for all who came to King Solomon's table. There was no lack in their supply. 4:28 They also brought barley and straw to the proper place, for the horses and steeds, each man according to his charge. 4:29 And God gave Solomon wisdom and exceedingly great understanding, and largeness of heart like the sand on the seashore. 4:30 Thus Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the men of the East and all the wisdom of Egypt. 4:31 For he was wiser than all men-than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol; and his fame was in all the surrounding nations. 4:32 He spoke three thousand proverbs, and his songs were one thousand and five. 4:33 Also he spoke of trees, from the cedar tree of Lebanon even to the hyssop that springs out of the wall; he spoke also of animals, of birds, of creeping things, and of fish. 4:34 And men of all nations, from all the kings of the earth who had heard of his wisdom, came to hear the wisdom of Solomon.
5:1 Now Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants to Solomon, because he heard that they had anointed him king in place of his father, for Hiram had always loved David. 5:2 Then Solomon sent to Hiram, saying: 5:3 You know how my father David could not build a house for the name of the Lord his God because of the wars which were fought against him on every side, until the Lord put his foes under the soles of his feet. 5:4 But now the Lord my God has given me rest on every side; there is neither adversary nor evil occurrence. 5:5 And behold, I propose to build a house for the name of the Lord my God, as the Lord spoke to my father David, saying, "Your son, whom I will set on your throne in your place, he shall build the house for My name." 5:6 Now therefore, command that they cut down cedars for me from Lebanon; and my servants will be with your servants, and I will pay you wages for your servants according to whatever you say. For you know there is none among us who has skill to cut timber like the Sidonians. 5:7 So it was, when Hiram heard the words of Solomon, that he rejoiced greatly and said, Blessed be the Lord this day, for He has given David a wise son over this great people! 5:8 Then Hiram sent to Solomon, saying: I have considered the message which you sent me, and I will do all you desire concerning the cedar and cypress logs. 5:9 My servants shall bring them down from Lebanon to the sea; I will float them in rafts by sea to the place you indicate to me, and will have them broken apart there; then you can take them away. And you shall fulfill my desire by giving food for my household. 5:10 Then Hiram gave Solomon cedar and cypress logs according to all his desire. 5:11 And Solomon gave Hiram twenty thousand kors of wheat as food for his household, and twenty kors of pressed oil. Thus Solomon gave to Hiram year by year. 5:12 So the Lord gave Solomon wisdom, as He had promised him; and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon, and the two of them made a treaty together. 5:13 Then King Solomon raised up a labor force out of all Israel; and the labor force was thirty thousand men. 5:14 And he sent them to Lebanon, ten thousand a month in shifts: they were one month in Lebanon and two months at home; Adoniram was in charge of the labor force. 5:15 Solomon had seventy thousand who carried burdens, and eighty thousand who quarried stone in the mountains, 5:16 besides three thousand three hundred from the chiefs of Solomon's deputies, who supervised the people who labored in the work. 5:17 And the king commanded them to quarry large stones, costly stones, and hewn stones, to lay the foundation of the temple. 5:18 So Solomon's builders, Hiram's builders, and the Gebalites quarried them; and they prepared timber and stones to build the temple.
5:19 そこで、イエスは彼らに言われた。「はっきり言っておく。子は、父のなさることを見なければ、自分からは何事もできない。父がなさることはなんでも、子もそのとおりにする。 5:20 父は子を愛して、御自分のなさることをすべて子に示されるからである。また、これらのことよりも大きな業を子にお示しになって、あなたたちが驚くことになる。 5:21 すなわち、父が死者を復活させて命をお与えになるように、子も、与えたいと思う者に命を与える。 5:22 また、父はだれをも裁かず、裁きは一切子に任せておられる。 5:23 すべての人が、父を敬うように、子をも敬うようになるためである。子を敬わない者は、子をお遣わしになった父をも敬わない。 5:24 はっきり言っておく。わたしの言葉を聞いて、わたしをお遣わしになった方を信じる者は、永遠の命を得、また、裁かれることなく、死から命へと移っている。 5:25 はっきり言っておく。死んだ者が神の子の声を聞く時が来る。今やその時である。その声を聞いた者は生きる。 5:26 父は、御自身の内に命を持っておられるように、子にも自分の内に命を持つようにしてくださったからである。 5:27 また、裁きを行う権能を子にお与えになった。子は人の子だからである。 5:28 驚いてはならない。時が来ると、墓の中にいる者は皆、人の子の声を聞き、 5:29 善を行った者は復活して命を受けるために、悪を行った者は復活して裁きを受けるために出て来るのだ。
5:19 Then Jesus answered and said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. 5:20 "For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel. 5:21 "For as the Father raises the dead and gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom He will. 5:22 "For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son, 5:23 "that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. 5:24 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. 5:25 "Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live. 5:26 "For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself, 5:27 "and has given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man. 5:28 "Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice 5:29 "and come forth-those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation.
