13:1 主の言葉に従って神の人がユダからベテルに来たときも、ヤロブアムは祭壇の傍らに立って、香をたいていた。 13:2 その人は主の言葉に従って祭壇に向かって呼びかけた。「祭壇よ、祭壇よ、主はこう言われる。『見よ、ダビデの家に男の子が生まれる。その名はヨシヤという。彼は、お前の上で香をたく聖なる高台の祭司たちを、お前の上でいけにえとしてささげ、人の骨をお前の上で焼く。』」 13:3 その日、この人は更に一つのしるしを与えて言った。「これが主のお告げになったしるしである。『見よ、祭壇は裂け、その上の脂肪の灰は散る。』」 13:4 ヤロブアム王は、ベテルの祭壇に向かって呼びかける神の人の言葉を聞くと、祭壇から手を伸ばして、「その男を捕らえよ」と命じたが、その人に向かって伸ばした彼の手は萎えて戻すことができなかった。 13:5 神の人が主の言葉に従って与えたしるしが実現して、祭壇は裂け、その祭壇から脂肪の灰が散った。 13:6 王が神の人に、「どうか、あなたの神、主をなだめ、手が元に戻るようにわたしのために祈ってください」と言ったので、神の人が主をなだめると、王の手は元に戻って、前のようになった。 13:7 王は神の人に、「一緒に王宮に来て、一休みしてください。お礼を差し上げたい」と言ったが、 13:8 神の人は王に答えた。「たとえ王宮の半分をくださっても、わたしは一緒に参りません。ここではパンを食べず、水も飲みません。 13:9 主の言葉に従って、『パンを食べるな、水を飲むな、行くとき通った道に戻ってはならない』と戒められているのです。」 13:10 その人はベテルに来たとき通った道に戻ることなく、ほかの道を通って帰って行った。 13:11 ベテルに一人の老預言者が住んでいた。息子の一人が来て、神の人がその日ベテルで行ったすべてのこと、王に向かって告げた言葉を語り聞かせた。息子たちがそれを父に語り聞かせると、 13:12 父は、「その人はどの道を行ったか」と尋ねた。息子たちは、ユダから来た神の人がどの道を行ったか見ていた。 13:13 老預言者は息子たちに、「ろばに鞍を置くように」と言い、彼らがろばに鞍を置くと、そのろばに乗り、 13:14 神の人の後を追った。彼は樫の木の下で休んでいる神の人を見つけ、「ユダからおいでになった神の人はあなたですか」と問うた。その人は「わたしです」と答えた。 13:15 老預言者は、「一緒にわたしの家に来て、食事をなさいませんか」と勧めたが、 13:16 彼は答えた。「一緒に引き返し、一緒に行くことはできません。ここで一緒にパンを食べ、水を飲むことはできません。 13:17 主の言葉によって、『そこのパンを食べるな、水を飲むな、行くとき通った道に戻るな』と告げられているのです。」 13:18 しかし、老預言者は言った。「わたしもあなたと同様、預言者です。御使いが主の言葉に従って、『あなたの家にその人を連れ戻し、パンを食べさせ、水を飲ませよ』とわたしに告げました。」彼はその人を欺いたのである。 13:19 その人は彼と共に引き返し、彼の家でパンを食べ、水を飲んだ。 13:20 彼らが食卓に着いているとき、神の人を連れ戻した預言者に主の言葉が臨んだ。 13:21 彼はユダから来た神の人に向かって大声で言った。「主はこう言われる。『あなたは主の命令に逆らい、あなたの神、主が授けた戒めを守らず、 13:22 引き返して来て、パンを食べるな、水を飲むなと命じられていた所でパンを食べ、水を飲んだので、あなたのなきがらは先祖の墓には入れられない。』」 13:23 神の人がパンを食べ、水を飲んだ後、老預言者は連れ戻したその預言者のろばに鞍を置いてやった。 13:24 その人は立ち去ったが、途中一頭の獅子に出会い、殺されてしまった。なきがらは道に打ち捨てられたまま、ろばがその傍らに立ち、獅子もそのなきがらの傍らに立っていた。 13:25 そこを通りかかる者があって、道に打ち捨てられたなきがらと、傍らに立つ獅子を見、老預言者の住んでいる町に来てそのことを話した。 13:26 神の人をその道から連れ戻した老預言者はこれを聞くと、「それはあの神の人のことだ。彼は主の御命令に逆らったので、主はお告げになった御言葉のとおりに彼を獅子に渡し、獅子は彼を引き裂き、殺してしまったのだ」と言い、 13:27 息子たちに「ろばに鞍を置くように」と命じた。息子たちが鞍を置くと、 13:28 老預言者は出かけて行き、道に打ち捨てられているなきがらと、その傍らに立つろばと獅子を見つけた。獅子はなきがらを食べず、ろばも引き裂かずにいた。 13:29 老預言者は、神の人のなきがらを抱えてろばの背に乗せ、自分の町に持ち帰り、彼を弔い、葬った。 13:30 老預言者は自分の墓にそのなきがらを納め、「なんと不幸なことよ、わが兄弟」と言って彼を弔った。 13:31 埋葬の後、老預言者は息子たちに言った。「わたしが死んだら、神の人を葬った墓にわたしを葬り、あの人の骨のそばにわたしの骨を納めてくれ。 13:32 あの人が、主の言葉に従ってベテルにある祭壇とサマリアの町々にあるすべての聖なる高台の神殿に向かって呼びかけた言葉は、必ず成就するからだ。」 13:33 この出来事の後も、ヤロブアムは悪の道を離れて立ち帰ることがなく、繰り返し民の中から一部の者を聖なる高台の祭司に任じた。志望する者はだれでも聖別して、聖なる高台の祭司にした。 13:34 ここにヤロブアムの家の罪があり、その家は地の面から滅ぼし去られることとなった。
13:1 And behold, a man of God went from Judah to Bethel by the word of the Lord, and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense. 13:2 Then he cried out against the altar by the word of the Lord, and said, "O altar, altar! Thus says the Lord: 'Behold, a child, Josiah by name, shall be born to the house of David; and on you he shall sacrifice the priests of the high places who burn incense on you, and men's bones shall be burned on you.' " 13:3 And he gave a sign the same day, saying, "This is the sign which the Lord has spoken: Surely the altar shall split apart, and the ashes on it shall be poured out." 13:4 So it came to pass when King Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of God, who cried out against the altar in Bethel, that he stretched out his hand from the altar, saying, "Arrest him!" Then his hand, which he stretched out toward him, withered, so that he could not pull it back to himself. 13:5 The altar also was split apart, and the ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign which the man of God had given by the word of the Lord. 13:6 Then the king answered and said to the man of God, "Please entreat the favor of the Lord your God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored to me." So the man of God entreated the Lord, and the king's hand was restored to him, and became as before. 13:7 Then the king said to the man of God, "Come home with me and refresh yourself, and I will give you a reward." 13:8 But the man of God said to the king, "If you were to give me half your house, I would not go in with you; nor would I eat bread nor drink water in this place. 13:9 "For so it was commanded me by the word of the Lord, saying, 'You shall not eat bread, nor drink water, nor return by the same way you came.' " 13:10 So he went another way and did not return by the way he came to Bethel. 13:11 Now an old prophet dwelt in Bethel, and his sons came and told him all the works that the man of God had done that day in Bethel; they also told their father the words which he had spoken to the king. 13:12 And their father said to them, "Which way did he go?" For his sons had seen which way the man of God went who came from Judah. 13:13 Then he said to his sons, "Saddle the donkey for me." So they saddled the donkey for him; and he rode on it, 13:14 and went after the man of God, and found him sitting under an oak. Then he said to him, "Are you the man of God who came from Judah?" And he said, "I am." 13:15 Then he said to him, "Come home with me and eat bread." 13:16 And he said, "I cannot return with you nor go in with you; neither can I eat bread nor drink water with you in this place. 13:17 "For I have been told by the word of the Lord, 'You shall not eat bread nor drink water there, nor return by going the way you came.' " 13:18 He said to him, "I too am a prophet as you are, and an angel spoke to me by the word of the Lord, saying, 'Bring him back with you to your house, that he may eat bread and drink water.' " (He was lying to him.) 13:19 So he went back with him, and ate bread in his house, and drank water. 13:20 Now it happened, as they sat at the table, that the word of the Lord came to the prophet who had brought him back; 13:21 and he cried out to the man of God who came from Judah, saying, "Thus says the Lord: 'Because you have disobeyed the word of the Lord, and have not kept the commandment which the Lord your God commanded you, 13:22 'but you came back, ate bread, and drank water in the place of which the Lord said to you, "Eat no bread and drink no water," your corpse shall not come to the tomb of your fathers.' " 13:23 So it was, after he had eaten bread and after he had drunk, that he saddled the donkey for him, the prophet whom he had brought back. 13:24 When he was gone, a lion met him on the road and killed him. And his corpse was thrown on the road, and the donkey stood by it. The lion also stood by the corpse. 13:25 And there, men passed by and saw the corpse thrown on the road, and the lion standing by the corpse. Then they went and told it in the city where the old prophet dwelt. 13:26 Now when the prophet who had brought him back from the way heard it, he said, "It is the man of God who was disobedient to the word of the Lord. Therefore the Lord has delivered him to the lion, which has torn him and killed him, according to the word of the Lord which He spoke to him." 13:27 And he spoke to his sons, saying, "Saddle the donkey for me." So they saddled it. 13:28 Then he went and found his corpse thrown on the road, and the donkey and the lion standing by the corpse. The lion had not eaten the corpse nor torn the donkey. 13:29 And the prophet took up the corpse of the man of God, laid it on the donkey, and brought it back. So the old prophet came to the city to mourn, and to bury him. 13:30 Then he laid the corpse in his own tomb; and they mourned over him, saying, "Alas, my brother!" 13:31 So it was, after he had buried him, that he spoke to his sons, saying, "When I am dead, then bury me in the tomb where the man of God is buried; lay my bones beside his bones. 13:32 "For the saying which he cried out by the word of the Lord against the altar in Bethel, and against all the shrines on the high places which are in the cities of Samaria, will surely come to pass." 13:33 After this event Jeroboam did not turn from his evil way, but again he made priests from every class of people for the high places; whoever wished, he consecrated him, and he became one of the priests of the high places. 13:34 And this thing was the sin of the house of Jeroboam, so as to exterminate and destroy it from the face of the earth.
7:25 さて、エルサレムの人々の中には次のように言う者たちがいた。「これは、人々が殺そうとねらっている者ではないか。 7:26 あんなに公然と話しているのに、何も言われない。議員たちは、この人がメシアだということを、本当に認めたのではなかろうか。 7:27 しかし、わたしたちは、この人がどこの出身かを知っている。メシアが来られるときは、どこから来られるのか、だれも知らないはずだ。」 7:28 すると、神殿の境内で教えていたイエスは、大声で言われた。「あなたたちはわたしのことを知っており、また、どこの出身かも知っている。わたしは自分勝手に来たのではない。わたしをお遣わしになった方は真実であるが、あなたたちはその方を知らない。 7:29 わたしはその方を知っている。わたしはその方のもとから来た者であり、その方がわたしをお遣わしになったのである。」 7:30 人々はイエスを捕らえようとしたが、手をかける者はいなかった。イエスの時はまだ来ていなかったからである。 7:31 しかし、群衆の中にはイエスを信じる者が大勢いて、「メシアが来られても、この人よりも多くのしるしをなさるだろうか」と言った。
7:32 ファリサイ派の人々は、群衆がイエスについてこのようにささやいているのを耳にした。祭司長たちとファリサイ派の人々は、イエスを捕らえるために下役たちを遣わした。 7:33 そこで、イエスは言われた。「今しばらく、わたしはあなたたちと共にいる。それから、自分をお遣わしになった方のもとへ帰る。 7:34 あなたたちは、わたしを捜しても、見つけることがない。わたしのいる所に、あなたたちは来ることができない。」 7:35 すると、ユダヤ人たちが互いに言った。「わたしたちが見つけることはないとは、いったい、どこへ行くつもりだろう。ギリシア人の間に離散しているユダヤ人のところへ行って、ギリシア人に教えるとでもいうのか。 7:36 『あなたたちは、わたしを捜しても、見つけることがない。わたしのいる所に、あなたたちは来ることができない』と彼は言ったが、その言葉はどういう意味なのか。」
7:37 祭りが最も盛大に祝われる終わりの日に、イエスは立ち上がって大声で言われた。「渇いている人はだれでも、わたしのところに来て飲みなさい。 7:38 わたしを信じる者は、聖書に書いてあるとおり、その人の内から生きた水が川となって流れ出るようになる。」 7:39 イエスは、御自分を信じる人々が受けようとしている“霊”について言われたのである。イエスはまだ栄光を受けておられなかったので、“霊”がまだ降っていなかったからである。
7:25 Now some of them from Jerusalem said, "Is this not He whom they seek to kill? 7:26 "But look! He speaks boldly, and they say nothing to Him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is truly the Christ? 7:27 "However, we know where this Man is from; but when the Christ comes, no one knows where He is from." 7:28 Then Jesus cried out, as He taught in the temple, saying, "You both know Me, and you know where I am from; and I have not come of Myself, but He who sent Me is true, whom you do not know. 7:29 "But I know Him, for I am from Him, and He sent Me." 7:30 Therefore they sought to take Him; but no one laid a hand on Him, because His hour had not yet come. 7:31 And many of the people believed in Him, and said, "When the Christ comes, will He do more signs than these which this Man has done?" 7:32 The Pharisees heard the crowd murmuring these things concerning Him, and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers to take Him. 7:33 Then Jesus said to them, "I shall be with you a little while longer, and then I go to Him who sent Me. 7:34 "You will seek Me and not find Me, and where I am you cannot come." 7:35 Then the Jews said among themselves, "Where does He intend to go that we shall not find Him? Does He intend to go to the Dispersion among the Greeks and teach the Greeks? 7:36 "What is this thing that He said, 'You will seek Me and not find Me, and where I am you cannot come'?" 7:37 On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. 7:38 "He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water." 7:39 But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
