13:1 ダビデは千人隊と百人隊の長およびすべての指導者と協議し、 13:2 イスラエルの全会衆に言った。「もしあなたたちが賛成し、またわたしたちの神、主の御旨でもあるなら、わたしたちはイスラエル全土に残っている兄弟、および放牧地をもつ町にいる祭司とレビ人に使いを送ってここに集め、 13:3 わたしたちの神の箱をここに移そうではないか。サウルの時代にわたしたちはこれをおろそかにした。」 13:4 民のだれにもそれは当を得たことだと思われたので、すべての会衆が賛同した。 13:5 ダビデはエジプトのシホルからレボ・ハマトまでのすべてのイスラエル人を集め、神の箱をキルヤト・エアリムから運んで来ようとした。 13:6 ダビデはすべてのイスラエル人と共にバアラト、つまりユダのキルヤト・エアリムに上って行った。それは、ケルビムの上に座しておられる主なる神の箱、その御名によって呼ばれる箱をそこから運び上げるためであった。 13:7 彼らはアビナダブの家から、神の箱を新しい車に載せ、ウザとアフヨがその車を御した。 13:8 ダビデとすべてのイスラエル人は、神の御前で力を込めて、歌をうたい、竪琴、琴、太鼓、シンバル、ラッパを奏でた。 13:9 一行がキドンの麦打ち場にさしかかったとき、牛がよろめいたので、ウザは手を伸ばして箱を押さえようとした。 13:10 ウザが箱に手を伸ばしたので、ウザに対して主は怒りを発し、彼を打たれた。彼はその場で、神の御前で死んだ。 13:11 ダビデも怒った。主がウザを打ち砕かれたからである。その場所をペレツ・ウザ（ウザを砕く）と呼んで今日に至っている。 13:12 その日、ダビデは神を恐れ、「どうして神の箱をわたしのもとに迎えることができようか」と言って、 13:13 ダビデの町、自分のもとに箱を移さなかった。彼は箱をガト人オベド・エドムの家に向かわせた。 13:14 三か月の間、神の箱はオベド・エドムの家族とともに、その家の中にあった。主はオベド・エドムの家の者とその財産のすべてを祝福された。
14:1 ティルスの王ヒラムは、ダビデのもとに使節を派遣し、王宮建設のためにレバノン杉、石工、大工を送ってきた。 14:2 ダビデは、主が彼をイスラエルの王として揺るぎないものとされ、主の民イスラエルのために彼の王権を非常に高めてくださったことを悟った。 14:3 ダビデはエルサレムでも妻をめとり、息子や娘が更に生まれた。 14:4 エルサレムで生まれたダビデの子供たちの名は次のとおりである。シャムア、ショバブ、ナタン、ソロモン、 14:5 イブハル、エリシュア、エルペレト、 14:6 ノガ、ネフェグ、ヤフィア、 14:7 エリシャマ、ベエルヤダ、エリフェレト。 14:8 ペリシテ人は、ダビデが油を注がれて全イスラエルの王となったことを聞いた。すべてのペリシテ人が、ダビデの命をねらって攻め上って来た。ダビデはこれを聞いて彼らに向かって出陣した。 14:9 やって来たペリシテ人はレファイムの谷に侵入した。 14:10 ダビデは神に託宣を求めた。「ペリシテ人に向かって攻め上るべきでしょうか。彼らをこの手にお渡しくださるでしょうか。」主はダビデに答えられた。「攻め上れ。あなたの手に渡す。」 14:11 彼らはバアル・ペラツィムに攻め上り、ダビデは敵を討ち滅ぼして、こう言った。「神は敵をこの手で、水が堤防を破るように打ち破ってくださった。」その場所をバアル・ペラツィム（破れ目の主）と呼ぶのは、このためである。 14:12 ペリシテ人が自分たちの神々をそこに捨てて行ったので、ダビデは命じて、それを火で焼かせた。 14:13 ペリシテ人は再び谷に侵入した。 14:14 ダビデが再び神に託宣を求めると、神は次のように答えられた。「彼らを追って攻め上らず、彼らを避けて回り込め。バルサムの茂みの反対側から敵に向かえ。 14:15 茂み越しに行軍の音を聞いたら、そのとき出て行って戦え。神がペリシテの陣営を討つために、あなたに先んじて出陣されるのだ。」 14:16 ダビデは神の命じられたとおりに行動し、彼らはギブオンからゲゼルに至るまで、ペリシテ人の陣営を討ち滅ぼした。 14:17 こうしてダビデの名声はすべての国々に及んだ。主は諸国の民が皆、彼を恐れるようにされた。
13:1 Then David consulted with the captains of thousands and hundreds, and with every leader. 13:2 And David said to all the assembly of Israel, "If it seems good to you, and if it is of the Lord our God, let us send out to our brethren everywhere who are left in all the land of Israel, and with them to the priests and Levites who are in their cities and their common-lands, that they may gather together to us; 13:3 "and let us bring the ark of our God back to us, for we have not inquired at it since the days of Saul." 13:4 Then all the assembly said that they would do so, for the thing was right in the eyes of all the people. 13:5 So David gathered all Israel together, from Shihor in Egypt to as far as the entrance of Hamath, to bring the ark of God from Kirjath Jearim. 13:6 And David and all Israel went up to Baalah, to Kirjath Jearim, which belonged to Judah, to bring up from there the ark of God the Lord, who dwells between the cherubim, where His name is proclaimed. 13:7 So they carried the ark of God on a new cart from the house of Abinadab, and Uzza and Ahio drove the cart. 13:8 Then David and all Israel played music before God with all their might, with singing, on harps, on stringed instruments, on tambourines, on cymbals, and with trumpets. 13:9 And when they came to Chidon's threshing floor, Uzza put out his hand to hold the ark, for the oxen stumbled. 13:10 Then the anger of the Lord was aroused against Uzza, and He struck him because he put his hand to the ark; and he died there before God. 13:11 And David became angry because of the Lord's outbreak against Uzza; therefore that place is called Perez Uzza to this day. 13:12 David was afraid of God that day, saying, "How can I bring the ark of God to me?" 13:13 So David would not move the ark with him into the City of David, but took it aside into the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite. 13:14 The ark of God remained with the family of Obed-Edom in his house three months. And the Lord blessed the house of Obed-Edom and all that he had.
14:1 Now Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and cedar trees, with masons and carpenters, to build him a house. 14:2 So David knew that the Lord had established him as king over Israel, for his kingdom was highly exalted for the sake of His people Israel. 14:3 Then David took more wives in Jerusalem, and David begot more sons and daughters. 14:4 And these are the names of his children whom he had in Jerusalem: Shammua, Shobab, Nathan, Solomon, 14:5 Ibhar, Elishua, Elpelet, 14:6 Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia, 14:7 Elishama, Beeliada, and Eliphelet. 14:8 Now when the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up to search for David. And David heard of it and went out against them. 14:9 Then the Philistines went and made a raid on the Valley of Rephaim. 14:10 And David inquired of God, saying, "Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will You deliver them into my hand?" And the Lord said to him, "Go up, for I will deliver them into your hand." 14:11 So they went up to Baal Perazim, and David defeated them there. Then David said, "God has broken through my enemies by my hand like a breakthrough of water." Therefore they called the name of that place Baal Perazim. 14:12 And when they left their gods there, David gave a commandment, and they were burned with fire. 14:13 Then the Philistines once again made a raid on the valley. 14:14 Therefore David inquired again of God, and God said to him, "You shall not go up after them; circle around them, and come upon them in front of the mulberry trees. 14:15 "And it shall be, when you hear a sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees, then you shall go out to battle, for God has gone out before you to strike the camp of the Philistines." 14:16 So David did as God commanded him, and they drove back the army of the Philistines from Gibeon as far as Gezer. 14:17 Then the fame of David went out into all lands, and the Lord brought the fear of him upon all nations.
113:1 ハレルヤ。主の僕らよ、主を賛美せよ／主の御名を賛美せよ。 113:2 今よりとこしえに／主の御名がたたえられるように。 113:3 日の昇るところから日の沈むところまで／主の御名が賛美されるように。 113:4 主はすべての国を超えて高くいまし／主の栄光は天を超えて輝く。 113:5 わたしたちの神、主に並ぶものがあろうか。主は御座を高く置き 113:6 なお、低く下って天と地を御覧になる。 113:7 弱い者を塵の中から起こし／乏しい者を芥の中から高く上げ 113:8 自由な人々の列に／民の自由な人々の列に返してくださる。 113:9 子のない女を家に返し／子を持つ母の喜びを与えてくださる。ハレルヤ。
