30:1 ヒゼキヤはすべてのイスラエルとユダに使者を遣わし、またエフライムとマナセには書簡を送り、エルサレムの主の神殿に来てイスラエルの神、主のために過越祭を行うように呼びかけた。 30:2 王とエルサレムの高官とすべての会衆は協議し、第二の月に過越祭を行うことに決定した。 30:3 それは、まだ自分を聖別した祭司の数が十分でなく、民もエルサレムに集まっていなかったので、その時に過越祭を行うことができなかったからである。 30:4 その決定は王の目にもすべての会衆の目にも正しいと思われたので、 30:5 彼らはそれを実行に移し、ベエル・シェバからダンに至るまですべてのイスラエルに通知を送り、皆がエルサレムに来て、イスラエルの神、主のために過越祭を行うように呼びかけた。規定どおりにその祭りを行っている者は多くなかったからである。 30:6 急使は王と高官が託した書簡を持ってすべてのイスラエルとユダを巡り、王の命令どおりこう言った。「イスラエルの人々よ。アブラハム、イサク、イスラエルの神、主に立ち帰れ。そうすれば主は、アッシリアの王の手を免れて生き残った人々、あなたたちに帰ってくださる。 30:7 先祖の神、主に背いたあなたたちの父たちや兄弟たちのようになってはならない。あなたたちの見るとおり、主は彼らを滅ぼされた。 30:8 先祖のように強情になってはならない。主に服従し、とこしえに聖別された主の聖所に来て、あなたたちの神、主に仕えよ。そうすれば、主の怒りの炎もあなたたちから離れるであろう。 30:9 もしあなたたちが主に立ち帰るなら、あなたたちの兄弟や子供たちは、彼らを捕らえて行った者たちの憐れみを受け、この地に帰って来ることができるであろう。あなたたちの神、主は恵みと憐れみに満ちておられ、そのもとにあなたたちが立ち帰るなら、御顔を背けられることはない。」 30:10 急使はエフライムとマナセの地を町から町へと巡り、ゼブルンまで行ったが、人々は彼らを冷笑し、嘲った。 30:11 ただアシェル、マナセ、ゼブルンから、ある人々が謙虚になってエルサレムに来た。 30:12 また、ユダに神の御手が働いて、人々の心が一つにされ、主の言葉に従って王と高官の命令が実行に移された。 30:13 第二の月に、多くの民がエルサレムに集まり、除酵祭を行った。それは極めて大きな会衆となった。 30:14 彼らは立ち上がってエルサレムにあった祭壇を取り去り、香をたく台もすべて取り去り、キドロンの谷に投げ棄てた。 30:15 第二の月の十四日に、彼らは過越のいけにえを屠った。祭司とレビ人は恥じ入り、自分を聖別して、焼き尽くす献げ物を主の神殿に携えて来た。 30:16 こうして彼らは、神の人モーセの律法に定められているように、割り当てられた任務に就いた。祭司たちはレビ人の手から血を受け取って振りかけた。 30:17 会衆の中には自分を聖別していない者が多かったため、清くないすべての人に代わって、レビ人が過越のいけにえを屠る務めを果たし、清めたものを主にささげた。 30:18 民の大多数、エフライム、マナセ、イサカル、ゼブルンの多数の者が身を清めていなかった。それにもかかわらず、彼らは記されていることに違反して、過越のいけにえを食べたので、ヒゼキヤは彼らのために祈って言った。「恵み深い主よ、彼らをお赦しください。 30:19 彼らは聖所の清めの規定には従いませんでしたが、神、先祖の神、主を求めようと決意しているのです。」 30:20 主はヒゼキヤの祈りを聞き入れ、民をいやされた。 30:21 エルサレムにいるイスラエルの人々は七日間の除酵祭を行い、大いに喜び祝った。レビ人と祭司たちは、毎日主をたたえる強力な楽器を鳴らして、主を賛美した。 30:22 ヒゼキヤは、主への奉仕によく通じたすべてのレビ人に励ましの言葉をかけた。彼らは和解の献げ物をささげ、先祖の神に感謝しつつ七日間にわたって、祭りの食事にあずかった。 30:23 それから、全会衆は更に七日間祭りを行うことを決め、その七日間、祭りを喜び祝った。 30:24 ユダの王ヒゼキヤは雄牛千頭、羊七千匹を会衆に提供し、高官たちも雄牛千頭、羊一万匹を会衆に提供した。そこで多くの祭司が自分を聖別することになった。 30:25 こうして、ユダの全会衆、祭司たちとレビ人、イスラエルから来た全会衆、イスラエルの地から来た寄留者、ユダに住む者が共に喜び祝った。 30:26 エルサレムに大きな喜びがあった。イスラエルの王ダビデの子ソロモンの時代以来、このようなことがエルサレムで行われたことはなかった。 30:27 祭司たちとレビ人は立ち上がって、民を祝福した。その声は聞き届けられ、その祈りは主の聖なる住まい、天にまで達した。
30:1 And Hezekiah sent to all Israel and Judah, and also wrote letters to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to the house of the Lord at Jerusalem, to keep the Passover to the Lord God of Israel. 30:2 For the king and his leaders and all the assembly in Jerusalem had agreed to keep the Passover in the second month. 30:3 For they could not keep it at the regular time, because a sufficient number of priests had not consecrated themselves, nor had the people gathered together at Jerusalem. 30:4 And the matter pleased the king and all the assembly. 30:5 So they resolved to make a proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beersheba to Dan, that they should come to keep the Passover to the Lord God of Israel at Jerusalem, since they had not done it for a long time in the prescribed manner. 30:6 Then the runners went throughout all Israel and Judah with the letters from the king and his leaders, and spoke according to the command of the king: "Children of Israel, return to the Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel; then He will return to the remnant of you who have escaped from the hand of the kings of Assyria. 30:7 "And do not be like your fathers and your brethren, who trespassed against the Lord God of their fathers, so that He gave them up to desolation, as you see. 30:8 "Now do not be stiff＝necked, as your fathers were, but yield yourselves to the Lord; and enter His sanctuary, which He has sanctified forever, and serve the Lord your God, that the fierceness of His wrath may turn away from you. 30:9 "For if you return to the Lord, your brethren and your children will be treated with compassion by those who lead them captive, so that they may come back to this land; for the Lord your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn His face from you if you return to Him." 30:10 So the runners passed from city to city through the country of Ephraim and Manasseh, as far as Zebulun; but they laughed at them and mocked them. 30:11 Nevertheless some from Asher, Manasseh, and Zebulun humbled themselves and came to Jerusalem. 30:12 Also the hand of God was on Judah to give them singleness of heart to obey the command of the king and the leaders, at the word of the Lord. 30:13 Now many people, a very great assembly, gathered at Jerusalem to keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread in the second month. 30:14 They arose and took away the altars that were in Jerusalem, and they took away all the incense altars and cast them into the Brook Kidron. 30:15 Then they slaughtered the Passover lambs on the fourteenth day of the second month. The priests and the Levites were ashamed, and sanctified themselves, and brought the burnt offerings to the house of the Lord. 30:16 They stood in their place according to their custom, according to the Law of Moses the man of God; the priests sprinkled the blood received from the hand of the Levites. 30:17 For there were many in the assembly who had not sanctified themselves; therefore the Levites had charge of the slaughter of the Passover lambs for everyone who was not clean, to sanctify them to the Lord. 30:18 For a multitude of the people, many from Ephraim, Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet they ate the Passover contrary to what was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, "May the good Lord provide atonement for everyone 30:19 who prepares his heart to seek God, the Lord God of his fathers, though he is not cleansed according to the purification of the sanctuary." 30:20 And the Lord listened to Hezekiah and healed the people. 30:21 So the children of Israel who were present at Jerusalem kept the Feast of Unleavened Bread seven days with great gladness; and the Levites and the priests praised the Lord day by day, singing to the Lord, accompanied by loud instruments. 30:22 And Hezekiah gave encouragement to all the Levites who taught the good knowledge of the Lord; and they ate throughout the feast seven days, offering peace offerings and making confession to the Lord God of their fathers. 30:23 Then the whole assembly agreed to keep the feast another seven days, and they kept it another seven days with gladness. 30:24 For Hezekiah king of Judah gave to the assembly a thousand bulls and seven thousand sheep, and the leaders gave to the assembly a thousand bulls and ten thousand sheep; and a great number of priests sanctified themselves. 30:25 The whole assembly of Judah rejoiced, also the priests and Levites, all the assembly that came from Israel, the sojourners who came from the land of Israel, and those who dwelt in Judah. 30:26 So there was great joy in Jerusalem, for since the time of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel, there had been nothing like this in Jerusalem. 30:27 Then the priests, the Levites, arose and blessed the people, and their voice was heard; and their prayer came up to His holy dwelling place, to heaven.

144:1 Blessed be the Lord my Rock,Who trains my hands for war,And my fingers for battle- 144:2 My lovingkindness and my fortress,My high tower and my deliverer,My shield and the One in whom I take refuge,Who subdues my people under me. 144:3 Lord, what is man, that You take knowledge of him?Or the son of man, that You are mindful of him? 144:4 Man is like a breath;His days are like a passing shadow. 144:5 Bow down Your heavens, O Lord, and come down;Touch the mountains, and they shall smoke. 144:6 Flash forth lightning and scatter them;Shoot out Your arrows and destroy them. 144:7 Stretch out Your hand from above;Rescue me and deliver me out of great waters,From the hand of foreigners, 144:8 Whose mouth speaks vain words,And whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood. 144:9 I will sing a new song to You, O God;On a harp of ten strings I will sing praises to You, 144:10 The One who gives salvation to kings,Who delivers David His servantFrom the deadly sword. 144:11 Rescue me and deliver me from the hand of foreigners,Whose mouth speaks lying words,And whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood- 144:12 That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth;That our daughters may be as pillars,Sculptured in palace style; 144:13 That our barns may be full,Supplying all kinds of produce;That our sheep may bring forth thousandsAnd ten thousands in our fields; 144:14 That our oxen may be well-laden;That there be no breaking in or going out;That there be no outcry in our streets. 144:15 Happy are the people who are in such a state;Happy are the people whose God is the Lord!
