7:1 ソロモンが祈り終えると、天から火が降って焼き尽くす献げ物といけにえをひとなめにし、主の栄光が神殿に満ちた。 7:2 祭司たちは、主の栄光が神殿に満ちたので、神殿に入ることができなかった。 7:3 イスラエル人は皆、火と主の栄光が神殿に降るのを見て、ひざまずいて敷石の上に顔を伏せ、礼拝して、「主は恵み深く、その慈しみはとこしえに」と主を賛美した。 7:4 王はすべての民と共に主の御前にいけにえをささげた。 7:5 ソロモン王は牛二万二千頭、羊十二万匹をささげた。こうして、王はすべての民と共に神殿を奉献した。 7:6 祭司たちはその務めに就き、レビ人たちも、主の楽器を持って立った。その楽器は、ダビデ王が、彼らの演奏によって賛美をささげるとき、「その慈しみはとこしえに」と主をたたえるために作ったものである。彼らの傍らで祭司たちはラッパを吹いた。すべてのイスラエル人が立っていた。 7:7 ソロモンは主の神殿の前にある庭の中央部を聖別して、そこで焼き尽くす献げ物と、和解の献げ物である動物の脂肪をささげた。ソロモンが造った青銅の祭壇に、焼き尽くす献げ物、穀物の献げ物、動物の脂肪を供え尽くすことができなかったからである。 7:8 そのときソロモンは、すべてのイスラエル人、レボ・ハマトからエジプトの川に至るまでの極めて大きな会衆と共に、七日間にわたって祭りを執り行った。 7:9 彼らは七日間、祭壇の奉献を行い、七日間、祭りを行って、八日目に聖なる集まりを開いた。 7:10 第七の月の二十三日に王は民を自分たちの天幕に帰らせた。彼らは、主がダビデとソロモンとその民イスラエルになさった恵みの御業を喜び祝い、心は晴れやかであった。
7:11 ソロモンは主の神殿と王宮を完成し、この神殿と王宮について、行おうと考えていたすべての事を成し遂げた。 7:12 その夜、主はソロモンに現れ、こう仰せになった。「わたしはあなたの祈りを聞き届け、この所を選び、いけにえのささげられるわたしの神殿とした。 7:13 わたしが天を閉じ、雨が降らなくなるとき、あるいはわたしがいなごに大地を食い荒らすよう命じるとき、あるいはわたしの民に疫病を送り込むとき、 7:14 もしわたしの名をもって呼ばれているわたしの民が、ひざまずいて祈り、わたしの顔を求め、悪の道を捨てて立ち帰るなら、わたしは天から耳を傾け、罪を赦し、彼らの大地をいやす。 7:15 今後この所でささげられる祈りに、わたしの目を向け、耳を傾ける。 7:16 今後、わたしはこの神殿を選んで聖別し、そこにわたしの名をいつまでもとどめる。わたしは絶えずこれに目を向け、心を寄せる。 7:17 もしあなたが、父ダビデが歩んだように、わたしの前を歩み、わたしがあなたに命じたことをことごとく行い、掟と定めを守るなら、 7:18 あなたの父ダビデと契約して、『あなたにはイスラエルを支配する者が断たれることはない』と言ったとおり、わたしはあなたの王座を存続させる。 7:19 もしあなたたちが背を向け、わたしの授けた掟と戒めを捨て、他の神々のもとに行って仕え、それにひれ伏すなら、 7:20 わたしは与えた土地から彼らを抜き取り、わたしの名のために聖別したこの神殿もわたしの前から投げ捨てる。こうしてそれは諸国民の中で物笑いと嘲りの的となる。 7:21 かつては壮大だったこの神殿に、そのそばを通る人は皆、驚き、『この地とこの神殿に、主はどうしてこのような仕打ちをされたのか』と問うであろう。 7:22 そのとき人々は、『それは彼らが自分たちの先祖をエジプトの地から導き出したその先祖の神、主を捨て、他の神々に付き従い、これにひれ伏し、仕えたからだ。それゆえ、主は彼らの上にこのすべての災いをもたらされたのだ』と答えるであろう。」
7:1 When Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the Lord filled the temple. 7:2 And the priests could not enter the house of the Lord, because the glory of the Lord had filled the Lord's house. 7:3 When all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the Lord on the temple, they bowed their faces to the ground on the pavement, and worshiped and praised the Lord, saying:"For He is good,For His mercy endures forever." 7:4 Then the king and all the people offered sacrifices before the Lord. 7:5 King Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty-two thousand bulls and one hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the people dedicated the house of God. 7:6 And the priests attended to their services; the Levites also with instruments of the music of the Lord, which King David had made to praise the Lord, saying, "For His mercy endures forever," whenever David offered praise by their ministry. The priests sounded trumpets opposite them, while all Israel stood. 7:7 Furthermore Solomon consecrated the middle of the court that was in front of the house of the Lord; for there he offered burnt offerings and the fat of the peace offerings, because the bronze altar which Solomon had made was not able to receive the burnt offerings, the grain offerings, and the fat. 7:8 At that time Solomon kept the feast seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great assembly from the entrance of Hamath to the Brook of Egypt. 7:9 And on the eighth day they held a sacred assembly, for they observed the dedication of the altar seven days, and the feast seven days. 7:10 On the twenty-third day of the seventh month he sent the people away to their tents, joyful and glad of heart for the good that the Lord had done for David, for Solomon, and for His people Israel. 7:11 Thus Solomon finished the house of the Lord and the king's house; and Solomon successfully accomplished all that came into his heart to make in the house of the Lord and in his own house. 7:12 Then the Lord appeared to Solomon by night, and said to him: "I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice. 7:13 "When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, 7:14 "if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 7:15 "Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place. 7:16 "For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually. 7:17 "As for you, if you walk before Me as your father David walked, and do according to all that I have commanded you, and if you keep My statutes and My judgments, 7:18 "then I will establish the throne of your kingdom, as I covenanted with David your father, saying, 'You shall not fail to have a man as ruler in Israel.' 7:19 "But if you turn away and forsake My statutes and My commandments which I have set before you, and go and serve other gods, and worship them, 7:20 "then I will uproot them from My land which I have given them; and this house which I have sanctified for My name I will cast out of My sight, and will make it a proverb and a byword among all peoples. 7:21 "And as for this house, which is exalted, everyone who passes by it will be astonished and say, 'Why has the Lord done thus to this land and this house?' 7:22 "Then they will answer, 'Because they forsook the Lord God of their fathers, who brought them out of the land of Egypt, and embraced other gods, and worshiped them and served them; therefore He has brought all this calamity on them.' "
125:1 【都に上る歌。】主に依り頼む人は、シオンの山。揺らぐことなく、とこしえに座る。 125:2 山々はエルサレムを囲み／主は御自分の民を囲んでいてくださる／今も、そしてとこしえに。 125:3 主に従う人に割り当てられた地に／主に逆らう者の笏が置かれることのないように。主に従う人が悪に手を伸ばすことのないように。 125:4 主よ、良い人、心のまっすぐな人を／幸せにしてください。 125:5 よこしまな自分の道にそれて行く者を／主よ、悪を行う者と共に追い払ってください。イスラエルの上に平和がありますように。
125:1 Those who trust in the LordAre like Mount Zion,Which cannot be moved, but abides forever. 125:2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem,So the Lord surrounds His peopleFrom this time forth and forever. 125:3 For the scepter of wickedness shall not restOn the land allotted to the righteous,Lest the righteous reach out their hands to iniquity. 125:4 Do good, O Lord, to those who are good,And to those who are upright in their hearts. 125:5 As for such as turn aside to their crooked ways,The Lord shall lead them awayWith the workers of iniquity.Peace be upon Israel!
