8:1 ソロモンは、二十年を費やして主の神殿と王宮を建て終わると、 8:2 フラムから贈られた町を次々と再建し、そこにイスラエル人を住まわせた。 8:3 ソロモンは更にハマト・ツォバに向かい、これを攻略し、 8:4 荒れ野のタドモルと、ハマト地方の補給基地の町をすべて築き上げた。 8:5 彼はまた城壁で囲まれ、門扉とかんぬきで固められた砦の町、上ベト・ホロンと下ベト・ホロンを築き、 8:6 更にバアラトと、ソロモンに属する補給基地の町、戦車隊の町、騎兵隊の町をすべて築いた。ソロモンはエルサレム、レバノン、および彼の支配下にある全地域に、築こうと望んだ町々をすべて築き上げた。 8:7 イスラエル人ではない者、ヘト人、アモリ人、ペリジ人、ヒビ人、エブス人の生き残りの民のすべて、 8:8 彼らの後、この地に生き残った子孫で、イスラエル人によって滅ぼされなかった者を、ソロモンは労役に服させ、今日に至っている。 8:9 しかしソロモンは、イスラエル人を一人も自分の工事のために奴隷としなかった。彼らは、戦士、精鋭部隊の長、戦車隊と騎兵隊の長であった。 8:10 ソロモン王の配置した監督は二百五十名で、人々の指揮をとった。 8:11 ソロモンはファラオの娘をダビデの町から、彼女のために建てた宮殿に移した。「わたしの妻はイスラエルの王ダビデの宮殿に住んではならない。そこは主の箱を迎え入れた聖なる所だ」と考えたからである。 8:12 そのころソロモンは、前廊の前に築いた主の祭壇の上で、焼き尽くす献げ物を主にささげた。 8:13 安息日、新月祭、および、年に三度の祝祭日、除酵祭、七週祭、仮庵祭に関してモーセが命じたように、日ごとの定めに従って献げ物をささげた。 8:14 更に彼は、父ダビデの授けた規定に従って、祭司たちを組に分けてその任務に就かせ、またレビ人たちをその任務に就かせて、日ごとの定めに従って祭司の傍らで賛美し奉仕させ、門衛たちもその組によってそれぞれその門に立たせた。神の人ダビデがそのように命じていたからである。 8:15 王が祭司とレビ人について命じたことは、宝物庫のことも含め、何事もおろそかにされなかった。 8:16 ソロモンの工事はすべて、主の神殿の定礎の日から、完成の日まで無事に遂行され、主の神殿は完全なものとなった。 8:17 そのころ、ソロモンは、エドムの地の海岸にあるエツヨン・ゲベルとエイラトに行った。 8:18 フラムも家臣たちに託して、船団と航海の心得のある者たちを送ってきた。彼らはソロモンの家臣たちと共にオフィルに行き、金四百五十キカルを手に入れ、ソロモン王のもとにもたらした。
8:1 It came to pass at the end of twenty years, in which Solomon had built the house of the Lord and his own house, 8:2 that the cities which Hiram had given to Solomon, Solomon built them; and he settled the children of Israel there. 8:3 And Solomon went to Hamath Zobah and seized it. 8:4 He also built Tadmor in the wilderness, and all the storage cities which he built in Hamath. 8:5 He built Upper Beth Horon and Lower Beth Horon, fortified cities with walls, gates, and bars, 8:6 also Baalath and all the storage cities that Solomon had, and all the chariot cities and the cities of the cavalry, and all that Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion. 8:7 All the people who were left of the Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites, who were not of Israel- 8:8 that is, their descendants who were left in the land after them, whom the children of Israel did not destroy-from these Solomon raised forced labor, as it is to this day. 8:9 But Solomon did not make the children of Israel servants for his work. Some were men of war, captains of his officers, captains of his chariots, and his cavalry. 8:10 And others were chiefs of the officials of King Solomon: two hundred and fifty, who ruled over the people. 8:11 Now Solomon brought the daughter of Pharaoh up from the City of David to the house he had built for her, for he said, "My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places to which the ark of the Lord has come are holy." 8:12 Then Solomon offered burnt offerings to the Lord on the altar of the Lord which he had built before the vestibule, 8:13 according to the daily rate, offering according to the commandment of Moses, for the Sabbaths, the New Moons, and the three appointed yearly feasts-the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of Weeks, and the Feast of Tabernacles. 8:14 And, according to the order of David his father, he appointed the divisions of the priests for their service, the Levites for their duties (to praise and serve before the priests) as the duty of each day required, and the gatekeepers by their divisions at each gate; for so David the man of God had commanded. 8:15 They did not depart from the command of the king to the priests and Levites concerning any matter or concerning the treasuries. 8:16 Now all the work of Solomon was well-ordered from the day of the foundation of the house of the Lord until it was finished. So the house of the Lord was completed. 8:17 Then Solomon went to Ezion Geber and Elath on the seacoast, in the land of Edom. 8:18 And Hiram sent him ships by the hand of his servants, and servants who knew the sea. They went with the servants of Solomon to Ophir, and acquired four hundred and fifty talents of gold from there, and brought it to King Solomon.
126:1 【都に上る歌。】主がシオンの捕われ人を連れ帰られると聞いて／わたしたちは夢を見ている人のようになった。 126:2 そのときには、わたしたちの口に笑いが／舌に喜びの歌が満ちるであろう。そのときには、国々も言うであろう／「主はこの人々に、大きな業を成し遂げられた」と。 126:3 主よ、わたしたちのために／大きな業を成し遂げてください。わたしたちは喜び祝うでしょう。 126:4 主よ、ネゲブに川の流れを導くかのように／わたしたちの捕われ人を連れ帰ってください。 126:5 涙と共に種を蒔く人は／喜びの歌と共に刈り入れる。 126:6 種の袋を背負い、泣きながら出て行った人は／束ねた穂を背負い／喜びの歌をうたいながら帰ってくる。
126:1 When the Lord brought back the captivity of Zion,We were like those who dream. 126:2 Then our mouth was filled with laughter,And our tongue with singing.Then they said among the nations,"The Lord has done great things for them." 126:3 The Lord has done great things for us,And we are glad. 126:4 Bring back our captivity, O Lord,As the streams in the South. 126:5 Those who sow in tearsShall reap in joy. 126:6 He who continually goes forth weeping,Bearing seed for sowing,Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing,Bringing his sheaves with him.
