3:1 Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. 3:2 And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed. 3:3 Then Moses said, "I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn." 3:4 So when the Lord saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, "Moses, Moses!" And he said, "Here I am." 3:5 Then He said, "Do not draw near this place. Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground." 3:6 Moreover He said, "I am the God of your father-the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob." And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look upon God. 3:7 And the Lord said: "I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows. 3:8 "So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites. 3:9 "Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to Me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them. 3:10 "Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt." 3:11 But Moses said to God, "Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?" 3:12 So He said, "I will certainly be with you. And this shall be a sign to you that I have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain." 3:13 Then Moses said to God, "Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, 'The God of your fathers has sent me to you,' and they say to me, 'What is His name?' what shall I say to them?" 3:14 And God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM." And He said, "Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, 'I AM has sent me to you.' " 3:15 Moreover God said to Moses, "Thus you shall say to the children of Israel: 'The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My name forever, and this is My memorial to all generations.' 3:16 "Go and gather the elders of Israel together, and say to them, 'The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared to me, saying, "I have surely visited you and seen what is done to you in Egypt; 3:17 "and I have said I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, to a land flowing with milk and honey." ' 3:18 "Then they will heed your voice; and you shall come, you and the elders of Israel, to the king of Egypt; and you shall say to him, 'The Lord God of the Hebrews has met with us; and now, please, let us go three days' journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the Lord our God.' 3:19 "But I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not even by a mighty hand. 3:20 "So I will stretch out My hand and strike Egypt with all My wonders which I will do in its midst; and after that he will let you go. 3:21 "And I will give this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians; and it shall be, when you go, that you shall not go empty-handed. 3:22 "But every woman shall ask of her neighbor, namely, of her who dwells near her house, articles of silver, articles of gold, and clothing; and you shall put them on your sons and on your daughters. So you shall plunder the Egyptians."

5:31 「『妻を離縁する者は、離縁状を渡せ』と命じられている。 5:32 しかし、わたしは言っておく。不法な結婚でもないのに妻を離縁する者はだれでも、その女に姦通の罪を犯させることになる。離縁された女を妻にする者も、姦通の罪を犯すことになる。」
5:33 「また、あなたがたも聞いているとおり、昔の人は、『偽りの誓いを立てるな。主に対して誓ったことは、必ず果たせ』と命じられている。 5:34 しかし、わたしは言っておく。一切誓いを立ててはならない。天にかけて誓ってはならない。そこは神の玉座である。 5:35 地にかけて誓ってはならない。そこは神の足台である。エルサレムにかけて誓ってはならない。そこは大王の都である。 5:36 また、あなたの頭にかけて誓ってはならない。髪の毛一本すら、あなたは白くも黒くもできないからである。 5:37 あなたがたは、『然り、然り』『否、否』と言いなさい。それ以上のことは、悪い者から出るのである。」

5:43 「あなたがたも聞いているとおり、『隣人を愛し、敵を憎め』と命じられている。 5:44 しかし、わたしは言っておく。敵を愛し、自分を迫害する者のために祈りなさい。 5:45 あなたがたの天の父の子となるためである。父は悪人にも善人にも太陽を昇らせ、正しい者にも正しくない者にも雨を降らせてくださるからである。 5:46 自分を愛してくれる人を愛したところで、あなたがたにどんな報いがあろうか。徴税人でも、同じことをしているではないか。 5:47 自分の兄弟にだけ挨拶したところで、どんな優れたことをしたことになろうか。異邦人でさえ、同じことをしているではないか。 5:48 だから、あなたがたの天の父が完全であられるように、あなたがたも完全な者となりなさい。」
5:21 "You have heard that it was said to those of old, 'You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.' 5:22 "But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, 'Raca!' shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, 'You fool!' shall be in danger of hell fire. 5:23 "Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, 5:24 "leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. 5:25 "Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are on the way with him, lest your adversary deliver you to the judge, the judge hand you over to the officer, and you be thrown into prison. 5:26 "Assuredly, I say to you, you will by no means get out of there till you have paid the last penny. 5:27 "You have heard that it was said to those of old, 'You shall not commit adultery.' 5:28 "But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 5:29 "If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell. 5:30 "And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell. 5:31 "Furthermore it has been said, 'Whoever divorces his wife, let him give her a certificate of divorce.' 5:32 "But I say to you that whoever divorces his wife for any reason except sexual immorality causes her to commit adultery; and whoever marries a woman who is divorced commits adultery. 5:33 "Again you have heard that it was said to those of old, 'You shall not swear falsely, but shall perform your oaths to the Lord.' 5:34 "But I say to you, do not swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is God's throne; 5:35 "nor by the earth, for it is His footstool; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. 5:36 "Nor shall you swear by your head, because you cannot make one hair white or black. 5:37 "But let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No.' For whatever is more than these is from the evil one. 5:38 "You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.' 5:39 "But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. 5:40 "If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also. 5:41 "And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two. 5:42 "Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away. 5:43 "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' 5:44 "But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, 5:45 "that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. 5:46 "For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? 5:47 "And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? 5:48 "Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.
