21:1 あなたの神、主があなたに与えて、得させられる土地で、殺されて野に倒れている人が発見され、その犯人がだれか分からないならば、 21:2 長老および裁判人たちが現場に赴き、その死体から周囲の町々への距離を測らねばならない。 21:3 死体に最も近い町の長老たちは、労役に使われたことのない雌牛、すなわち軛を負わされたことのない若い雌牛を選び、 21:4 長老たちは、その雌牛を水の尽きることのない川の、耕したことも種を蒔いたこともない岸辺に連れて行き、その川で雌牛の首を折らねばならない。 21:5 それから、レビの子孫である祭司たちが進み出る。あなたの神、主が御自分に仕えさせ、また主の御名によって祝福を与えるために、お選びになったのは彼らであり、争いごとや傷害事件は、すべて彼らの指示に従わねばならないのである。 21:6 死体に最も近い町の長老たちは皆、川で首を折られた雌牛の上で手を洗い、 21:7 証言して言わねばならない。「我々の手はこの流血事件とかかわりがなく、目は何も見ていません。 21:8 主よ、あなたが救い出されたあなたの民、イスラエルの罪を贖い、あなたの民、イスラエルのうちに罪なき者の血を流した罪をとどめないでください。」こうして、彼らの血を流した罪は贖われる。 21:9 あなたは主が正しいと見なされることを行うなら、罪なき者の血を流した罪を取り除くことができる。
21:10 あなたが敵に向かって出陣し、あなたの神、主が敵をあなたの手に渡され、捕虜を捕らえたとき、 21:11 その中に美しい女性がいて、心引かれ、妻にしようとするならば、 21:12 自分の家に連れて行きなさい。彼女は髪を下ろし、つめを切り、 21:13 捕虜の衣服を脱いで、あなたの家に住み、自分の両親のために、一か月の間嘆かねばならない。その後、あなたは彼女のところに入ってその夫となり、彼女はあなたの妻となる。 21:14 もし彼女があなたの気に入らなくなった場合、彼女の意のままに去らせねばならない。決して金で売ってはならない。既に彼女を辱めたのであるから、奴隷のように扱ってはならない。
21:15 ある人に二人の妻があり、一方は愛され、他方は疎んじられた。愛された妻も疎んじられた妻も彼の子を産み、疎んじられた妻の子が長子であるならば、 21:16 その人が息子たちに財産を継がせるとき、その長子である疎んじられた妻の子を差し置いて、愛している妻の子を長子として扱うことはできない。 21:17 疎んじられた妻の子を長子として認め、自分の全財産の中から二倍の分け前を与えねばならない。この子が父の力の初穂であり、長子権はこの子のものだからである。
21:18 ある人にわがままで、反抗する息子があり、父の言うことも母の言うことも聞かず、戒めても聞き従わないならば、 21:19 両親は彼を取り押さえ、その地域の城門にいる町の長老のもとに突き出して、 21:20 町の長老に、「わたしたちのこの息子はわがままで、反抗し、わたしたちの言うことを聞きません。放蕩にふけり、大酒飲みです」と言いなさい。 21:21 町の住民は皆で石を投げつけて彼を殺す。あなたはこうして、あなたの中から悪を取り除かねばならない。全イスラエルはこのことを聞いて、恐れを抱くであろう。
21:22 ある人が死刑に当たる罪を犯して処刑され、あなたがその人を木にかけるならば、 21:23 死体を木にかけたまま夜を過ごすことなく、必ずその日のうちに埋めねばならない。木にかけられた死体は、神に呪われたものだからである。あなたは、あなたの神、主が嗣業として与えられる土地を汚してはならない。
21:1 "If anyone is found slain, lying in the field in the land which the Lord your God is giving you to possess, and it is not known who killed him, 21:2 "then your elders and your judges shall go out and measure the distance from the slain man to the surrounding cities. 21:3 "And it shall be that the elders of the city nearest to the slain man will take a heifer which has not been worked and which has not pulled with a yoke. 21:4 "The elders of that city shall bring the heifer down to a valley with flowing water, which is neither plowed nor sown, and they shall break the heifer's neck there in the valley. 21:5 "Then the priests, the sons of Levi, shall come near, for the Lord your God has chosen them to minister to Him and to bless in the name of the Lord; by their word every controversy and every assault shall be settled. 21:6 "And all the elders of that city nearest to the slain man shall wash their hands over the heifer whose neck was broken in the valley. 21:7 "Then they shall answer and say, 'Our hands have not shed this blood, nor have our eyes seen it. 21:8 'Provide atonement, O Lord, for Your people Israel, whom You have redeemed, and do not lay innocent blood to the charge of Your people Israel.' And atonement shall be provided on their behalf for the blood. 21:9 "So you shall put away the guilt of innocent blood from among you when you do what is right in the sight of the Lord. 21:10 "When you go out to war against your enemies, and the Lord your God delivers them into your hand, and you take them captive, 21:11 "and you see among the captives a beautiful woman, and desire her and would take her for your wife, 21:12 "then you shall bring her home to your house, and she shall shave her head and trim her nails. 21:13 "She shall put off the clothes of her captivity, remain in your house, and mourn her father and her mother a full month; after that you may go in to her and be her husband, and she shall be your wife. 21:14 "And it shall be, if you have no delight in her, then you shall set her free, but you certainly shall not sell her for money; you shall not treat her brutally, because you have humbled her. 21:15 "If a man has two wives, one loved and the other unloved, and they have borne him children, both the loved and the unloved, and if the firstborn son is of her who is unloved, 21:16 "then it shall be, on the day he bequeaths his possessions to his sons, that he must not bestow firstborn status on the son of the loved wife in preference to the son of the unloved, the true firstborn. 21:17 "But he shall acknowledge the son of the unloved wife as the firstborn by giving him a double portion of all that he has, for he is the beginning of his strength; the right of the firstborn is his. 21:18 "If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not obey the voice of his father or the voice of his mother, and who, when they have chastened him, will not heed them, 21:19 "then his father and his mother shall take hold of him and bring him out to the elders of his city, to the gate of his city. 21:20 "And they shall say to the elders of his city, 'This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious; he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton and a drunkard.' 21:21 "Then all the men of his city shall stone him to death with stones; so you shall put away the evil from among you, and all Israel shall hear and fear. 21:22 "If a man has committed a sin deserving of death, and he is put to death, and you hang him on a tree, 21:23 "his body shall not remain overnight on the tree, but you shall surely bury him that day, so that you do not defile the land which the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance; for he who is hanged is accursed of God.

14:43 さて、イエスがまだ話しておられると、十二人の一人であるユダが進み寄って来た。祭司長、律法学者、長老たちの遣わした群衆も、剣や棒を持って一緒に来た。 14:44 イエスを裏切ろうとしていたユダは、「わたしが接吻するのが、その人だ。捕まえて、逃がさないように連れて行け」と、前もって合図を決めていた。 14:45 ユダはやって来るとすぐに、イエスに近寄り、「先生」と言って接吻した。 14:46 人々は、イエスに手をかけて捕らえた。 14:47 居合わせた人々のうちのある者が、剣を抜いて大祭司の手下に打ってかかり、片方の耳を切り落とした。 14:48 そこで、イエスは彼らに言われた。「まるで強盗にでも向かうように、剣や棒を持って捕らえに来たのか。 14:49 わたしは毎日、神殿の境内で一緒にいて教えていたのに、あなたたちはわたしを捕らえなかった。しかし、これは聖書の言葉が実現するためである。」 14:50 弟子たちは皆、イエスを見捨てて逃げてしまった。
14:51 一人の若者が、素肌に亜麻布をまとってイエスについて来ていた。人々が捕らえようとすると、 14:52 亜麻布を捨てて裸で逃げてしまった。
14:27 Then Jesus said to them, "All of you will be made to stumble because of Me this night, for it is written:'I will strike the Shepherd,And the sheep will be scattered.' 14:28 "But after I have been raised, I will go before you to Galilee." 14:29 Peter said to Him, "Even if all are made to stumble, yet I will not be." 14:30 Jesus said to him, "Assuredly, I say to you that today, even this night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times." 14:31 But he spoke more vehemently, "If I have to die with You, I will not deny You!" And they all said likewise. 14:32 Then they came to a place which was named Gethsemane; and He said to His disciples, "Sit here while I pray." 14:33 And He took Peter, James, and John with Him, and He began to be troubled and deeply distressed. 14:34 Then He said to them, "My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch." 14:35 He went a little farther, and fell on the ground, and prayed that if it were possible, the hour might pass from Him. 14:36 And He said, "Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will." 14:37 Then He came and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, "Simon, are you sleeping? Could you not watch one hour? 14:38 "Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." 14:39 Again He went away and prayed, and spoke the same words. 14:40 And when He returned, He found them asleep again, for their eyes were heavy; and they did not know what to answer Him. 14:41 Then He came the third time and said to them, "Are you still sleeping and resting? It is enough! The hour has come; behold, the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners. 14:42 "Rise, let us be going. See, My betrayer is at hand." 14:43 And immediately, while He was still speaking, Judas, one of the twelve, with a great multitude with swords and clubs, came from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders. 14:44 Now His betrayer had given them a signal, saying, "Whomever I kiss, He is the One; seize Him and lead Him away safely." 14:45 As soon as He had come, immediately he went up to Him and said to Him, "Rabbi, Rabbi!" and kissed Him. 14:46 Then they laid their hands on Him and took Him. 14:47 And one of those who stood by drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear. 14:48 Then Jesus answered and said to them, "Have you come out, as against a robber, with swords and clubs to take Me? 14:49 "I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and you did not seize Me. But the Scriptures must be fulfilled." 14:50 Then they all forsook Him and fled. 14:51 Now a certain young man followed Him, having a linen cloth thrown around his naked body. And the young men laid hold of him, 14:52 and he left the linen cloth and fled from them naked.
